  1. Good luck in your search Jambo. Not many still living that will remember the Cadora days but I'm sure there will be records around somewhere. Keep up the good work, looks like you will go down as the Bo'ness Football History Man.
  2. Hope he raids some club for a scoring striker. Seems daft saying that after scoring 25 goals in last three games, but I'm sure most fans would agree.
  3. Correct with Harry Pinkerton. Your question may be an easy one for a Kilsyth man, but I'll have a go. Alex Queerie. Scored four goals in the final in 1955, I think he scored them all with headers. He was the first to do so in a final at Hampden until Puscas equalled it in 1960. Scored record amount of goals in Scottish Cup run for one season. How's that for a Bo'ness man?
  4. As you are enjoying this thread so much, here is question for you. Which player played with Kilsyth ( probably in 46-47 games you refer to) came to BU's and won a Scottish Junior Cup medal the following season. Clue, he was a Kilsyth man.
  5. (Teasers) Here's one for you Jambo. How many Junior grounds record attendances are there involving the BU's? I know some, but hopefully you can name them all. I think at least two of them have been games mentioned by you in the last few days.
  6. Jacky Steedman played with the BU's in 1950-51 . He played in 6th round Scottish Cup match against Petershill at Springburn, record gate for Petershill Park (19.500).
  7. Sorry don't know that. Would imagine a local Juvenile club like Gibby. I think Dalry was his debut for the BUs.
  8. Outside Left was Bert Ormond, brother of Gibby and Willie.
  9. One of the many great memorable days following the BU's. Thanks Jambo for bring them back.
  10. Forgot about another centre from BU's. How about John Buckley.
  11. H Ford? (Don't know how to spell Hyram, Hyrom, Hyrum)..
  12. Doubt if you'll find a Jambo in Grangemouth, but you never know. Good luck in your search.
  13. Jamboness is your man for that. I think it was season 1949, after Paddy Buckley left for St Johnstone.
  14. Have reread my post and noticed my wrong spelling. Should read forward not foreword. Consider it a senior moment.
  15. Forgot about that, a great goalie. Thank you Jambo for all the memories you are bringing back. Look foreword to your daily reports and like your teasers.
  16. Well done to the Committee on a quick appointment. Perhaps freshen things up a bit (ie. bring in a striker) and prepare for hopefully the EOS league next season. Good luck Mr Christie.
