  1. Looking forward to some decent chatter, instead of the childish rubbish from Auld Heid, Wee Specky etc, from the lower League. Come away the BUs.
  2. The man at the top of the stairs better shift when the BU supporters bus arrives.
  3. Tommy Miller transferred to Colchester and later played with Dundee Un. came to BU's from Armadale Th was brother of Jimmy Millar of Rangers fame. Right Back wee Tam came from Camelon Jrs.
  4. As we come to the end of the year and as you said Jambo the 31st. will be the last instalment on this thread, I for one and I'm sure many others are going to miss your daily contributions. A lot of time and hard work has gone into this. I thank you for this and wish you good luck with your research into the past football in Bo'ness.

  7. Have heard about this game and apparently committee men had to fill in. The centre half was Dick Potter the then club secretary, but don't know the others.

  10. Great result from a great team. Three of that forward line provisionally signed at the time with senior clubs, Scott (Rangers), Martin (Rangers), Harrower (Hibs). Would settle for just one for this season.
  11. Yes John, can remember Frankie. Played mostly at centre forward and scored a good lot of goals for the BU's. Heard he was not much of a singer though.
  12. That was Tom Stevenson, a Bo'ness lad who stood in for the one game.

  14. Another player you might be interested in Lurcher, who played at the same time as Willie Gardiner with the BUs who went to Celtic then on to Leicester, was Jimmy Walsh.
  15. The last of my oldest programmes. Unfortunately a narrow defeat of 2-1 on the day but the boys went one better the following season. Note the KO time of 7.15pm.
