True but we have 6 games to catch them so losing to 'gers on Wednesday wouldn't be fatal.
Agreed but another doing would be.

A point’s a massive result for us. Means we have to match St Mirren’s results against the rest of the top 6 and beat them at Dens to finish 5th.

Airdrie to relegate St Johnstone.

McDiarmid is apparently plan B if Dens fails a Tuesday pitch inspection.
What if it passes the Tuesday inspection but it rains on Wednesday?
Which it’s forecasted to do.

Several Dundee fans coming in here to gloat despite there not being a single Motherwell fan on here , or in the real world, appearing to be even remotely annoyed we missed out on the top 6.
I suppose when you’ve spent 15 of the last 20 seasons in the seaside leagues and 40+ in the shadow of your neighbours you’ll go over board about scraping a top half league finish!
Then there’s reality.

100% sign Robinson.
Can see players improve as time goes by, so great credit to Tony Doc and his staff for their coaching methods.
Beck came on leaps and bounds,
Costelloe’s defensive work has greatly improved,
The Derry Viera’s come on to a great game,
Tiffoney is improving with each game

There's not many I wouldn't keep for next season tbh. Probably the Burnley three and that's about it.
Another Portales/Mo Sylla inspired signing with a wee bit of pace about them as a CH and I'd happily keep the squad exactly as is for next season tbh.
I imagine we'll need to replace a lot of the loans but as I say, not many I'd be opposed to keeping.
Defo keep Mellon.

McCracken is a defo if we can get him. A young keeper of real promise.
You’ve got to wonder if Carson is injured or he’s thrown a hissy fit over something. If we get McCracken he can f**k off if he wants to imo.He had to get a knee op.

Top 6. If only Motherwell had spent less on their pitch.
Ohh meh sides!!!!

If only Motherwell had spent more on their playing squad and less on their pitch they might’ve made top 6.
Beautiful surface though guys.

Injuries and to attempt to get our pitch in order. Clearly it was convenient for both clubs..
Correct.

Seems pretty mental to me that we've responded with a statement that basically just stokes the fire if we are already planning on releasing more information later on today.
Our statement, whilst stating it's all just media speculation, doesn't tell us if it's accurate or not. There's no denial in it and the part that says we'll release more info this afternoon suggests that some form of discussions have been taking place whether it's moving stadium or not. Should have just waited until later on today to play our full hand on the matter.
They’ve responded immediately to The Sun’s Twitter/X post to nip it in the bud. Can’t ask for anymore than that. Nice of the city council to provide us with the covers. Maybe the drainage problems on Dens Road has a bit of truth to it.
They’ve done everything right on this occasion. If the covers went down any sooner than today then you run the risk of killing the grass underneath it.
2 of the 4 games postponed were during 2 named storms when there were postponed games all over the country.
Today’s later statement might be about something completely different.

Is it? What if Dundee also wanted it to be delayed a further week to allow more time for their pitch to potentially become playable? We don’t know, and Dundee don’t seem to have made any comment voicing their displeasure at them being given an extra week.
It suits us to have the game rearranged for as late as possible with the amount of injuries we have at the moment.

I do find it quite strange that the pitch is so bad that you are already talking about the next two games being off, its going to be mostly dry tomorrow, mostly light rain both Friday and Saturday. Doesnt seem to be any other games being talked of as in doubt.
The other problem is delaying the games are unlikely to be an option as they could be pivotal in deciding top 6, so this could delay the post split fixtures being decided.
Those Dundonians, up to no good as usual.
The forecast is for heavy rain in Dundee Friday and Saturday. It’s already raining pretty heavy.

Send in the big Derry Viera, he mops everything else up.

Minor miracle if this game goes ahead on Saturday. Would imagine it’ll get played the midweek after the Aberdeen game.

Watching the highlights - Neil McCan blethering utter shite about the VAR incident.
There was at least 3 reasons not to give the goal.
1. The handball.
2. McGowan foul.
3. McGowan heading the ball out of the hands.
McCann claiming McCracken didn’t have both hands on the ball is nonsense.
Could see that from over 100 yards away.
The biggest worry was that whoever the VAR ref was, was trying to get him to change his decision for a couple of minutes. Took the ref seconds to see he’d made the correct decision.

Must admit at the game I thought MxCracken was daft to do what he did. The way the game is going these days I wouldn’t have been surprised to see a penalty given. Docherty was mentioning it at the end of the game to McCracken probably laughing as much at the fermers as having a pop at the keeper . Never a red though.
Anybody else having problems getting on here?

He’s not had a league win yet. If he’s not punted by this game then us Dundee fans know the story.

We’ve both felt like we’ve lost points this season against each other but maybe we should all just accept that our teams are at a very similar level and maybe better to look at these results as a point gained instead of two lost.
The results have been crazy. Apart from the crazy first 2 minutes in the cup game there is nothing between these sides (just different qualities - Dundee a better passing team than us in my opinion).
Clearly the two managers know each other absolutely inside out mentally and tactically. Some set of results.
Killie got the point in the end because McInnes went for it the last 10-15 minutes. Basically went 4 upfront with 10 men.
We were the better team 1st 30 minutes, Killie the 2nd 30, then it swung back in our favour slightly the last half hour.
Good game. Gutted to not see it out or even increase our lead. Ach well.0 -

This isnt the first time an away support have complained about how these tickets are provisioned at Easter Road.
I always thought that having e-ticking type arrangements would make things easier, but sometimes you just yearn for the days of the wee portakabin near the south stand......................................
Just the hour and a half to get the tickets.

Liked the look of Reilly in his very limited game time.

When do we send McCowan, Cameron and Sylla to Raith Rovers as part of Operation Keep The Dabs Doon?

The majority are in the last 6 months of their deals at their parent clubs. They’ve effectively been on trial with us. Great moves by the club and the players.
