Picked one of these up on Gumtree the other week. Barely used and was £140. My son has one, so I know its decent.

Was starting to get fucked off with individual pedals so this works for me.

No interested in their prestored patches, I have just dialed in my own preferences for the preamp/compressor/od/rev/delay and pick and choose depending on what I am doing.

I can't cope without multi effects now.  I have one "normal" pedal which is an overdrive, but other than that I'm using multi effects or in built amp effects for anything chorus/delay/reverb related.  Far less faff particularly when playing live.

I bought one of these on the cheap to get me through a few gigs about 7 years ago and haven't looked back since.

  2. Fucking mental to think where the club was 2 years ago in the wake of that particular incident. If you said then that we'd be dissapointed at getting 1.4k tickets for a game at Tannadice,  that would be very hard to believe.

To be worried about if we win a title or not is a huge leap forward from worrying about if the club would ever be the same or not ever again.

  3. Given our real inability to take advantage of Utd slip ups, I'm still a bit doubtful over our credentials to get ourselves over the line.  If we were to beat Utd then win the game in hand then I'd say we are a decent bet, but in reality I think it's going to be too close to call.

The speed at which we went from absolutely cruising to being 3-2 down to that god awful Arbroath side really does make it difficult to be too buoyant yet.

100% agree, however, what United's result today does is mean there is 0% pressure on us to do anything next week. Yes, a win would be lovely for us... United NEED to win.

So much pressure on United for next week. Let's see how they do.

There's certainly a bit of pressure on us.  It's the best chance to win this league for over a decade and for who knows how long.  People need to forget about it being United, the chance here is absolutely huge.

  5. Such a strange stance from United.  There isn't a fundamental advantage to be gained from preventing 600 odd fans from attending.  I'd actually understand it if they gave a tiny allocation, but the difference overall to atmosphere between 1.4k and 2k is fairly minimal.  And I'd have zero problems if they wanted to give tickets to their own fans instead, but that isn't the case.

The only thing I can think of is if the police have insisted on an increased presence there isn't a substantial gap between sets of fans,  and Utd have thought that isn't worth the hassle or cost.  But that's a stretch.

Dundee United need to go up, for many reasons and all of them their own. I don't blame them for doing what they see fit to make that happen. That's their perogative. The smart arsed social media pish your people produce hasn't won you any friends and Dundee United will be thinking **** them, like any other club would.

    Sliding into Sunday ......etc

It's incredible how much a few joke tweets have broken some people.  Fair play to club.

  7. Don't think its overly unfair to be a bit disappointed after Saturday.  Regardless of where we started the season, we are currently in a title battle, and its another example of Utd dropping points and us being unable to capitalise.  Probably doesn't help that we are not playing at the weekend, as that would have left it our own hands to leave Tannadice top of the league.

The frustrating thing from my point of view is that Utd have done exactly what we needed.  My fear after the last game at Tannadice in December was that they would throw some weight at the transfer market in January, and/or go on a brilliant run of form, in the wake of that result.  They have done neither, in fact they have dropped plenty points in that period - so to actually be further behind is pretty disappointing.  Even ignoring the game at Starks a few weeks ago, they have lost on 3 other occasions since the turn of the year - and we've not won any of those games at the same time.  If you told any Rovers fan leaving Tannadice that day that they would lose at least 4 times before we were back there, and we still wouldn't be arriving back there top of the league, I'm sure even the most positive supporter would have been extremely disappointed at that.

I also don't think next season would necessarily be any easier - we are largely seeing the benefits of our early season run - no guarantees that happens again, and without having the stats to hand it feels like the league is tightening up in terms of form in the 2nd half of the season.  This is the best chance we've had for years - and I think a bit too much is looked into the fact that its Dundee Utd, regardless of who it is we are up against its a massive opportunity.

That said, didn't feel Saturday itself was a bottling or anything like that.  Played well enough, looked solid enough, just couldn't get the goal - but it wasnt for the want of effort or decent play - and in the end we look far more assured at the back as well.  It won't be where I'm looking towards if we don't win the league - that will be blowing 2 x 2 goal leads to an absolutely awful Arbroath side.  Saturday felt a million miles away from that Friday night a couple of weeks back.  Also looking towards that awful late December and January period which saw us piss points away from winning positions at home - all against (at the time) pretty poor sides.

However, if you said to me leaving Gayfield that we would be level on points at this stage I would have been absolutely delighted.  7 from 9 since then is a very good return, and leaves it all to play for.

What's the likely explanation for RR repeatedly failing to take advantage of Dun Utd's dropped points and steam on to promotion?

Some suggest that CEOs/ chairmen or whoever take fright when the costs of preparing to go up to the top flight are presented? Urban myth?

Aye, our CEO is actually the Queens Park goalie who pulled off a superb save late on to deny us a win.

I've seen a bit of chat here about Raith never having a better opportunity than this to win promotion, and I would agree. Yes, if you stay down it means by definition that we go up, and Livingston will surely not be in a healthy state next season. Having said that, you don't know what next season will look like. Other teams will strengthen too, Falkirk will have all the momentum in the world next season, and who knows what happens to the many loan players Raith currently have. There's absolutely no guarantee Raith will be as strong as they have been this season, and given how many games this season have been won by a single goal (and quite often by very late goals), is that sustainable next season? Who knows. There are a lot of variables over the course of a full season.

As things currently stand, you have seven games to win one more point than a Dundee United side who have been haemorrhaging points since late December. You've had three recent opportunities to go ahead of us, and failed to take any of them. You failed to beat Morton at home and you utterly shat the bed against Arbroath (I have no idea how yesterday's game went in fairness). Right here right now, you are up against a team filled with players who are either off form, chucking it or just not good enough, managed by an idiot. You absolutely will not get a better shot than this.

Yep this is my take on it.
