  1. I've got one of the Barca remakes and it's superb quality.
  2. I think Rovers were perfectly entitled to feel aggrieved. Dundee United and or Police Scotland have dealt with far bigger away support than 1.3k at Tannadice, so any safety concerns are absolute nonsense. We have a farcical situation where there will be thousands of empty seats at the biggest game this season, yet fans unable to attend. That said, I was pretty dissapointed with the Rovers last week. There wasn't any need for anything other than the initial statement. Posting the Dundee Utd ticket office number was just a wee bit petty and needless, and pushed the problem to staff at Utd who were not to blame. And I didn't really like the way the club have been in the media the past week or so. A lot of the work done this season has been superb, and generally the social media stuff has been good natured banter - but i didn't love how they reacted to last week to be honest.
  3. There's a lot of decent points there. It's the Rovers fans who have lost out in all of this.
  4. No idea how this is going to go. 7 points from 9 is a pretty generous return for us so far, Utd have had spells where they have controlled the game - first half at Tannadice and part of the 2nd half last time. Didn't think we'd be in a position where a draw suits us, but after Saturday that's the case, so it will be interesting to see how Murray approaches it.
  5. I can't cope without multi effects now. I have one "normal" pedal which is an overdrive, but other than that I'm using multi effects or in built amp effects for anything chorus/delay/reverb related. Far less faff particularly when playing live. I bought one of these on the cheap to get me through a few gigs about 7 years ago and haven't looked back since.
  6. Fucking mental to think where the club was 2 years ago in the wake of that particular incident. If you said then that we'd be dissapointed at getting 1.4k tickets for a game at Tannadice, that would be very hard to believe. To be worried about if we win a title or not is a huge leap forward from worrying about if the club would ever be the same or not ever again.
  7. Given our real inability to take advantage of Utd slip ups, I'm still a bit doubtful over our credentials to get ourselves over the line. If we were to beat Utd then win the game in hand then I'd say we are a decent bet, but in reality I think it's going to be too close to call. The speed at which we went from absolutely cruising to being 3-2 down to that god awful Arbroath side really does make it difficult to be too buoyant yet.
  8. Mind that Morton fan hinting that they could win the league a few weeks back?
  9. There's certainly a bit of pressure on us. It's the best chance to win this league for over a decade and for who knows how long. People need to forget about it being United, the chance here is absolutely huge.
  10. I'm not sure we could ask for a better chance to win this league, massive opportunity.
  11. Such a strange stance from United. There isn't a fundamental advantage to be gained from preventing 600 odd fans from attending. I'd actually understand it if they gave a tiny allocation, but the difference overall to atmosphere between 1.4k and 2k is fairly minimal. And I'd have zero problems if they wanted to give tickets to their own fans instead, but that isn't the case. The only thing I can think of is if the police have insisted on an increased presence there isn't a substantial gap between sets of fans, and Utd have thought that isn't worth the hassle or cost. But that's a stretch.
  12. Dundee, Aberdeen and the Old Firm have all filled that end, with far more propensity for bother. Whatever reason it's for, it's not safety, and it's not to increase their own ticket share - which makes it very weird.
  13. No way was that 1.3k tickets. Managed to get some, seems I'm lucky!
  14. It's incredible how much a few joke tweets have broken some people. Fair play to club.
  15. Don't think its overly unfair to be a bit disappointed after Saturday. Regardless of where we started the season, we are currently in a title battle, and its another example of Utd dropping points and us being unable to capitalise. Probably doesn't help that we are not playing at the weekend, as that would have left it our own hands to leave Tannadice top of the league. The frustrating thing from my point of view is that Utd have done exactly what we needed. My fear after the last game at Tannadice in December was that they would throw some weight at the transfer market in January, and/or go on a brilliant run of form, in the wake of that result. They have done neither, in fact they have dropped plenty points in that period - so to actually be further behind is pretty disappointing. Even ignoring the game at Starks a few weeks ago, they have lost on 3 other occasions since the turn of the year - and we've not won any of those games at the same time. If you told any Rovers fan leaving Tannadice that day that they would lose at least 4 times before we were back there, and we still wouldn't be arriving back there top of the league, I'm sure even the most positive supporter would have been extremely disappointed at that. I also don't think next season would necessarily be any easier - we are largely seeing the benefits of our early season run - no guarantees that happens again, and without having the stats to hand it feels like the league is tightening up in terms of form in the 2nd half of the season. This is the best chance we've had for years - and I think a bit too much is looked into the fact that its Dundee Utd, regardless of who it is we are up against its a massive opportunity. That said, didn't feel Saturday itself was a bottling or anything like that. Played well enough, looked solid enough, just couldn't get the goal - but it wasnt for the want of effort or decent play - and in the end we look far more assured at the back as well. It won't be where I'm looking towards if we don't win the league - that will be blowing 2 x 2 goal leads to an absolutely awful Arbroath side. Saturday felt a million miles away from that Friday night a couple of weeks back. Also looking towards that awful late December and January period which saw us piss points away from winning positions at home - all against (at the time) pretty poor sides. However, if you said to me leaving Gayfield that we would be level on points at this stage I would have been absolutely delighted. 7 from 9 since then is a very good return, and leaves it all to play for.
  16. Aye, our CEO is actually the Queens Park goalie who pulled off a superb save late on to deny us a win.
  17. All of that said, it's hard not to be dissapointed at not being top at this stage. They've pissed points away for fun since we beat them in February, and we are 1 point closer than we were after that match. Lots to play for mind, closer than I thought we'd be after that Arbroath debacle.
  18. It's a shame we don't play next week, as that makes it feel more dissapointing than it should be. Never in danger of losing that, however feels like a bit of a missed opportunity. That said, we look much better defensively.
  19. If your going to put both Brown and Matthews in defence, you simply have to put Byrne in the midfield.
  20. I think we'll relegate Aberdeen and I'll have to change identity.
  21. Great to see us start to grind wins out. Rode our luck a wee bit, but at the same time defended really well. Great to have Matthews back.
