The knicker wetting is coming from Falkirk fans, and the fact a Falkirk fan is complaining about giving it all up because your massive club are failing. I’d see the point if Falkirk were winning cup after cup and winning league titles on a regular basis. Claiming League 1 is utter shite. That says more about Fa’kirk being crap too. This is merely the observations of reading what some of your clubs fans are saying. Not you personally.

Yet another actual moron who clearly didnt take 1 minute to read what I posted.

  2. Some serious knicker-wetting on here because someone dares to have an opinion about something.

I do appreciate the feedback (good and bad) from the rational people who actually took the time to read what I said, and put some thought into their replies.

I do love the Fifer who can 'definitely' read my mind, if I had that gift I would be putting it to a more beneficial use.

For the guys whose reading comprehension is not the best, please read what I actually posted instead of what you imagined I posted. There is quite a relevant part around where I said 'maybe I just need a kick up the erse'.

Completely disagree with your sentiments regarding the standard of Scottish football. I think our game has improved a lot from where we were perhaps ten years ago when clubs were bringing in teams full of second rate players from abroad. I’m sick of hearing how poor our game is compared to our English neighbours. They might have plenty money and top players down there but, in my opinion, the games in the EPL are boring and pretty predictable. One thing you can’t accuse Scottish football of is being boring!

I completely agree that this is just my subjective view, and am happy to admit that I could be perceiving things more negatively than others. I have also seen some piss poor epl and championship games in the last few years too.

  4. This is something I have been thinking about for the last 2-3 seasons, I am just not enjoying the football the same as I was. it is not purely down to the shit we have been serving up because, believe it or not, we have had teams just as shit as the current one before, and I never missed a game.

I just don't have the same appetite for it now, maybe it is just a few kick in the baws too much. I do know one big reason I am pissed off with it all, and that is the blatant corruption that seems to be generally accepted as the norm.

For decades we have watched the self preservation league move goalposts to keep the their pals sweet, and I am sure they will find a way to keep Hearts up too.

But, for me, Scottish football is stagnating, the quality on display from Celtic all the way down to Brechin is just awful. Aberdeen regularly get pumped in Europe by trawler boat crews and every time Celtic play  a decent European side they get humiliated, but maybe it is just the more serious issues at the moment that have put football into a more realistic perspective.

Is anyone else feeling the same way, or do I just need a kick up the erse?

You do realise that a handful of aresholes in our support posting embarrassing messages on social media does not mean every Falkirk fan is posting embarrassing messages on social media.

What if I said Clyde only employ footballers who are rapists?

Every team has their arsehole fans, no doubt Clyde have them too. But the majority of football fans are decent folk who would (and are) cringing when they see shite like that posted on social media.

I have supported Falkirk for just over 40 years, and it only took a few games for me to realise that we have some right arseholes in our support, but who doesn't?

  6. One of the good things about a football forum, or any other forum, is that you can just come on and have a good seethe, have a wee rant about whatever is annoying you.

It doesn't even need to be logically sound or even coherent, but sometimes just having a good old moan without analysing the shit out of it does you good.

  7. I know it's an emotional time, given the whole social context, but try and look at this as objectively as you can and you will see why people voted the way they did. Some teams were fearing for their future, even the Raith chairman had concerns about going into administration.

The reality of Scottish football is that a lot of teams are barely surviving even when times are good, so their concerns were very real. For a lot of teams the vote was stop the season now and get funds to survive, or vote to wait and possible go bust.

That really is not even a choice. So no one voted to shaft ANY team, they voted in their own interest, which in quite a lot of cases was to keep their club in existence, and every single one of us would have done exactly the same.

I do think there is far more going on behind the scenes than we will ever know, the whole Dundee situation stinks to high heaven, and you can put your last penny on there being some way found to keep Hearts in the self preservation league.

But, the conspiracy theories of teams voting to shaft any other team might be good for forming alliances, but it's nonsense.

I have seen Falkirk four times this season - three times against us and once against Airdrie.  You were honking and turned in arguably among the worst performances that I have seen at Broadwood this season.  A potential nine points squandered by three woeful appearances.  Things would be looking very different had you not let diddy teams beat you.    Had you managed to take even a point from us, my suspicion is that the Falkirk fans would be having a good gloat at the expense of Raith Rovers.

Raith Rovers on the other hand are probably the best team that I have seen and fair play to them.  That said, the league table does not lie.  It just baffles me that such a woeful side that I have seen four times this season is in the position that you are.

The whole thing is about self-preservation, and this has characterised Scottish football for a very long time.  I think that all clubs are looking out for themselves, including those not in the promotion or relegation mix.  A club of clubs are desperate for the pay out that they so desperately needed to survive.

"Listen", the comedy show that was Ray McKinnon has brought this upon Falkirk.  This is not a good outcome for many, and it is very easy to make a straw man of the SPFL.  But the BoD at Falkirk should not underestimate their contribution to the mess that FFC find themselves in.

This is would be hilarious if there wasn't such a serious background issue.

Your logic and reasoning here is like a 10 year old child.

Our position doesn't come down to only the games with Clyde.

IF, these were the only games we dropped points in, then yes you would have a sound argument, but your thinking embarrassing.

A Clyde fan, who cheers on a rapist every week, is seriously talking abut the mess another club is in?

As pish as we are, we will never be Clyde.

  9.

What is 'sporting' about relegating a team that has played fewer games and would not be bottom if they won the game in hand.

I know the situation has to be resolved sometime, but the whole thing stinks. The Dundee fiasco is extremely suspect, who knows how many pieces of silver they have been promised.

I can picture the crooked boards trying to find a way to keep Hearts up too.

If reconstruction happens, we can be sure it will be a dug's dinner.

Please read what I said to BoA.

I am in the front line so what you are saying is nonsense.

You seem to refuse to look at anything other than the perceived wisdom.

What you are saying is verging on insanity.

Your argument is essentially, 'some people are going to die anyway, we are just as well going about our business.'

You don't seem to be connecting that dots at all.

When you say 'At the end of the day, I just don’t think it’s worth trashing our way of life to save a few lives', you don't seem aware that if we 'do not trash our way of life' then the 'few lives' that you don't give a shit about, will be tens of thousands of lives.

The whole point of the emergency measures is to keep the death toll as low as possible.

If we followed your opinion the death toll would be horrendous.

People are just shocked at your callousness, even if it was 'just a few deaths', you really should have chosen your words a lot more carefully.

For what it is worth, I sincerely hope you and all your loved ones are safe and do not suffer at all.

Okay, here goes. I expect to get bucket loads of shit but there comes a time when, someone needs to speak up.

I was struck by a letter in Saturdays Telegraph by a 93 year old retired GP who stated that in the 50s and 60s nobody would have known anything about coronovirus and the uptick in flu and related deaths would have been put down to a ‘bad year’. There would have been no disruption to normal life, no stock market crash, no businesses going burst, no millions of redundancies. Basically life would have gone on with a higher than normal death rate.

Maybe I’m missing something, but the number of deaths don’t seem to be all that high.
I appreciate that the main reason for the restrictions is to alleviate the pressure on the NHS but surely we could bring in emergency premises.

I thought the idea of bringing in to service grounded planes to use their oxygen facilities is worth considering.

At the end of the day, I just don’t think it’s worth trashing our way of life to save a few lives.

    I am 75.

As long as the 'few lives' aren't you or any of your loved ones, then that's okay by you.

Do you have to work hard at being this heartless or does it come naturally?.

  12. You can bet your mortgage that whatever happens it will be something that kicks FFC right in the hee-haws.

Whatever solution is found, FFC will be in the worst possible situation for being promoted.

One going up and one going down from each  league and no play-offs is what I see happening.
