Many moons ago, Freelands bar was the work hostelry of choice. The regulars were 90% Dons fans. Anyway, a stranger from Glasgow shows up. He appeared quite normal and rational, until the talk went to football , He started to demand the religion of Aberdeen players. He couldn't understand that no one knew, or cared.

Just an idea, could Sevco not agree to a revamp of the prize money so clubs further down could spend it on improving the pitch. Yes, I know I'm being silly.

I was there too at 12 years old . I have no memory of it, but my Dad told me years later that all I did was moan as I couldn't see anything apart from some guys back.

Being aberdonian, but having lived in Dundee for a while, I nominateThe Cragshannoch, George St in Aberdeen , and The Scout, Temple lane in Dundee . Both absolute dumps, but a great vibe to them.. Both closed.

Years ago when I was a bus driver, the company set up a "trap" to check that drivers were checking their vehicle properly . They left a random box on a random bus, and settled down to watch the CCTV. The driver concerned (a big Geordie lad) got on , spotted the box and promptly booted out the emergency door. He was supposed to contact control.

How many arrested at last weekend's matches? 99.9% at one game, yet eveyone else getting tarred with the same brush. As a coach driver a few years ago , I only once witnessed any drink related trouble ,at Celtic Park. Once at Raith Rovers, one of the fans nipped to the offy after the game for a carry out, was refused entry to the coach by me. A cop approached and tried to persuade me to let him on, with the drink going in the luggage hold(still illegal ). Not happening..you will be right on the phone to Tayside polis with my reg. no. Boy had to go get his money back.

Go to watch a game in person, do you get commentary? No, so if you don't like it on tv just press mute. As said above, its a very listenable language , and you can pick up a few words and phrases, its a thumbs up from me.
