I was as nervous as anybody before game on Saturday, but now that it is out of the way I have a very strange feeling of calm and a belief that this is our year. We carry all the momentum that good form and lots of goals bring into this week. From what I am told, Hamilton are pretty big and physical, but if we can keep the ball down and and play our quick passing game, I feel we will emerge as winners. Saturday's game felt like a basketball game at times with the ball in the air an awful lot. I do hope ATS is back as I would like to see Rhys in midfield and not at the back. I think that is key for us. We have a better goalkeeper than last year in play offs (assuming Josh is back). I felt Max Currie could have done better in play off final last year. Nobody can predict keeper errors but i think the defence exudes confidence with Josh back in the team and it makes a difference (most of the time). Win or lose this week, I will be on my feet applauding them off the park. Probably the best football at Airdrie since the Spaniards were in town. If we do get promoted, I wonder what we look like next season. We probably need a bit more of a physical presence but the pace we have in the team would worry some championship teams in my view and I can see a good core of our team being part of a championship campaign If we don't go up, hopefully everyone signs up for another shot at it again......must have been an enjoyable season for most. I also wonder at what point our management team get noticed by a "bigger" club as well. Feels like Rhys is ambitious and on field success obviously leads to opportunities. Hope we are celebrating on Saturday evening.........need to start playing golf on a Saturday again

Had to watch the stream due to illness. Terrible first half and right off it with high balls all the time. 2nd half very end to end. No refs good at this level and will have to watch replay for the late penalty call. .......Falkirk commentator probably the most biased of any teams, but coverage was good. Good to see Frizz back and that's 5 unbeaten in league and we are hanging in race. I expect Rae and Frizz back for Dunfermline game, but keeper was good today

Gal was my MOTM and Smithy a close second. ref gave them all the breaks on niggly fouls. will watch the red card bookings with interest. complete howler for 2nd goals and initial feeling was that if it was Dundee keeper they would have had foul for challenge in keeper at their first goal. Ref was so quick to give Cammy 2nd yellow….small man syndrome.

...was impressed by Charlie Telfer on Saturday. I thought he linked well with Frizz and always had his head up looking for a pass. He didn't waste too many balls before tiring a bit in 2nd half. He is probably a bit more mobile than Rhys in midfield and I think we are likely to see the manager back in defence once fully fit. The combination of Telfer and Frizz could be an exciting one to watch develop and could be fundamental to how the season plays out.

Also good to see fast and in swinging corners from both sides…much more dangerous

Rhys said something in one of the DTV interviews that impressed me…..”if a player can’t take the ball under pressure then he won’t play in this team”. Nice statement of intent !!!

Wonder if Scott McGill might come back…hasn’t featured in preseason much for Jambos B team

Not sure where people think we are going to find the players everyone is expecting........we are a League 1 team operating within a sensible budget. I think we have done well to keep the nucleus of 12-14 that we have. We don't have the crowd revenue of Falkirk, Dunfermline, QOTS etc.....even when playing well we get 1000 max on a consistent basis. If players won't accept the terms offered then what other option than loans. ...still hopeful of some decent additions this week and that our strikers get their shooting boots on.
