  1. Kenny Miller overall was good for scotland. 12 of his goals came in Euro or World Cup qualifying also so big games . You said he was rubbish but let’s look at facts- 1. Scored against Iceland in 2-1 win. 2. Scored the goal in a 1-1 win against Germany - good goal to Micky Cameron quick free kick and great finish from miller. 3. Scored good header against Italy at hampden in 1 -1 draw. Possibly his best game and man of the match performance.. 4. Double against Norway in 2006 qualifying away from home. Won 2-1 put is back in with a chance in group 5. Scored winner in 2-1 win over Lithuania. 6. Scored first goal in good win over Ukraine. Scored after 3 mins and one of Scotland’s best performances. 7. Beat leichstentein 2-1 but we were one nil down till 63 mins till miller scored with a good finish. 8. Scored opener against Czech Republic in 2 all draw. 9 scored equaliser against Macedonia in 1-1 draw.
  2. I really don’t want to play Norway some very good players coming through haaland of Salzburg and Ødegaard and a good manager in Lagerbäck
  3. I’ve been to every home game since 1998 and the best football we played in my opinion was under strachan. Passing football but we also scored a lot of goals ( and a good quality of goals)
  4. In the last 2 games mctominay was one of our better players and out performed McGinn and McGregor It’s obvious he’s going to be the new fall guy in the national team like Darren fletcher, Brian McClair and Gary mcailistair. The amount of people I still debate with that Darren fletcher was good for scotland and they say he done nothing then we establish they never went to any games seen him live and base their judgement on 20 mins of sport scene highlights. I doubt people who criticise mctominay actually watch full games as you can see his touch, technique , movement and passing is of a higher standard than the rest of the team. I was listening sportsound the other night and fans claiming Ryan jack was better lol. If Manchester United wanted to buy McGregor or Ryan Jack they simply would the fact is mcTominays better.
  5. Norway or Serbia would be difficult. Norway have a lot of good players coming through at the moment.
  6. Fraser hornby moves to Belgium top flight on season long loan to kv kortrijk finished 4th last season could be a good move
  7. That’s rubbish I’ve not had 1 email
  8. He’s also eligible for Republic of Ireland on merit he deserves to be in this squad
  9. I’ve been to Costa Rica home friendly, home nations league games and bought season ticket for this campaign. Missed belgium home friendly though. In the event that Scotland qualify would this be enough to get a ticket or would I need to attend some away games?
  10. Seems a rubbish way of doing it a pre determined neutral venue would be the best option
  11. Anyone know why Armstrong is out of favour at Southampton? Not even in squad today and not injured
  12. Picking three central midfielders from mctominay McGinn Christie Armstrong McGregor is going to be tricky but it’s a good problem to have
  13. I count 11 Scottish players played some part in the premiership opening weekend. That must be a record.
  14. Maradona has had the biggest influence in a major tournament than any other player but didn’t win 86 single handed as many say. Valdano had 4 goals that tourney burachaga 3 they must be raging when people say that. Also must be remembered Maradona never got past the 2nd round of the European cup pretty poor. Scott Nisbet of Rangers got further in the European cup than Maradona lol. Lastly he took ephedrine to lower his body weight and enhance performance at the 94 World Cup. This also needs to be considered. For me I would say Christiano Ronaldo and messi are the best ever. Performed consistently at the top level for such a long period and between them they have broken pretty much every record going.
  15. Martins goal against Slovenia was really important at the time we should have won 3 or 4 nil that night missed loads of chances
  16. Some great goals his biggest attribute is his finishing in my opinion
  17. I agree in total McBurnie has played around 351 mins for scotland over 7 games 4 of which were friendlies Costa Rica where he played well Mexico Peru and Hungary. He’s had 1 start in a competitive game against Kazakhstan. He’s a goal scorer and is the best we have at the moment. He’s good in the air which suits us as we have strong wingers and good crossers of the ball. Jury is still out but to write him of at international level at this stage is crazy.
  18. Barry bannan is a good shout also McGregor and Fraser are technically very good
  19. I would value tierney around 20 million to 25 million top end. He has been exceptional in the Scottish league average at best in champions league and decent for scotland when he’s shown up. Tierney is more of a risk than wan-Bissaka. Wan Bissaka is proven at premier league level playing against top players every weekend. Tierney has been playing in a really poor league week in and week and the hip injury must be a worry also.
  20. How many members does the travel club have? If successful would going to all the home games be enough points wise to get a ticket?
  21. Yep I agree theirs no right or wrong answer
  22. If he’s stays at Celtic for love of the club I think it’s admirable as that’s pretty rare these days. Footballing wise their is only one move he can make here and that’s to move to Arsenal. Better money, high quality league testing yourself against the best teams and players in the world, playing with better players, better coaches, better facilities etc. Let’s be honest the Scottish league although improved the last couple of years is pretty poor standard. Celtic fans will always say he’s crazy to move or because of champions league and 10 in a row but this means nothing out with scotland. Tierneys choice is basically stay at Celtic become a Celtic legend or to put his name on the world stage and potentially be the next Andy Robertson.
  23. I think it’s time for him to move on. Chances to join Arsenal don’t come around often and if he was to stay at Celtic for another couple of years I think he would at best stagnate then sign for a Crystal Palace / Everton. Think if he goes he will do well.
  24. Gary Naysmith on open goal this week this guy was the level of commitment we need from many in the current squad. Basically said he never missed a game the middle of the week for scotland then played for his club the weekend, proudest moment was playing for scotland, his biggest regrets not getting to hall of fame / not getting to a major tournament, best atmosphere scotland v Italy 2008 campaign and to top it all his mother was buried with his first Scotland Cap. Also talked about how it annoys him players pulling out of squad and playing for clubs the weekend and that he thinks the sfa should just invoke the 5 day rule.
