Dumbarton v Clyde 13/4/24
Bring Back Paddy Flannery replied to O'Kelly Isley III's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
No 3pm games can be shown in the UK. It is very easy to get around the block by using a VPN. -
I don’t think we’ll see him winning at Augusta but I’d fancy him for another Open. The clock is ticking mind you.

I see Callum Wilson is injured again. I thought he looked very unfit (which is understandable) but he seemed to be starting every game. It felt like a lot so soon after such a long lay off, he wasn’t really eased back in at all. -
You know the conditions are dodgy when Bryson is playing sensible.

Meronk who is usually one of the most consistent players on the European Tour has had an utter nightmare the last 2 days. I wonder if it has just been an off week or if it’s a bit of rust from playing on that daft ‘growing the game’ tour.

Was dry all of yesterday and it has only started raining here in the last five minutes. The Met Office forecast doesn’t look too bad tbh. It’s to be extremely windy around kick off time so that may cause some issues. -
Jason Day’s choice of outfit today is even worse than yesterday. That vest thing he’s wearing is absolutely honkin’.

Please do enlighten us with “the full picture”… -
It’s got to the stage where I wake up in the morning and check the leaderboard to see who might be able to beat Scheffler. The guy is absolutely ridiculous.

I wonder if the Trust will set up a live stream for him to tune into the AGM which he can’t attend due to his stadium ban. -
-3 thru 3!

Lets hope Gary is just there for the first tee shot and doesn’t appear in the commentary booth at any point over the next 4 days.

Because a very good source told me the player didn’t accept the apology. No one is obliged to believe that, but I will. I’m not comparing the incidents, I’m comparing the Trusts reaction to both incidents. The Trust decided to release a public statement condeming personal abuse agaist Stevie Farrell (which I absolutely condemn) but when it comes to a supporter receiving a nationwide stadium ban for abusing a player the Trust double down and back him up. That’s not whataboutery my friend, that is cold hard facts. I am absolutely convinced if it wasn’t a supporter who’s family holds such an influence then they wouldn’t be afforded these excuses for their behaviour. -

I’m also led to believe the player who was on the receiving end refused the apology. I think the Trust have made an error of judgement here tbqhwy and I’m rather shocked at a lot of the whataboutery stemming from this incident. I understand that volunteer board members aren’t easy to come by, but quite how the Trust can retain someone who is serving a year long, nationwide stadium ban is absolutely beyond me. Would all supporters be afforded this sort of leeway? I’m not convinced they would, especially after the Trusts statement following the Clyde game. -

The boolin club is the far superior option over any of the boozers in the town IMO. They show any football that is on and will no doubt have The Masters on one of the TVs as well. The Waverley is a decent enough pub but it’s a bit of a walk as it’s situated nearer to Levengrove Park. A few pints in the bowling club followed by a pint and a Richard Gough just before kick off in the stadium bar would be my recommendation. -

The chat when he left for LIV was that he was staying with Callaway but I’ve nae idea if that included a clothing deal. Tee times being released today. I hope Tiger is playing with someone different for a change.

lol. He’s completely bullied and outmuscled off the ball not “wrestled to the ground”. One of a number of salty tweets from the Forfar account on Saturday. Nae luck. -

Old Ray has been waffling shite in his interviews for as long as I can remember. I don’t know if its purely reserved for when one of his teams loses to Dumbarton FC but I don’t think I’ve ever heard him admit that the better team won. An absolute fool of a man. -
Stranraer 2023-24

I must admit, Agnew seems to be getting a bit of an easy ride, managers have been punted for far less. Surely Stranraer fans can’t be happy with how things have gone under his tenure? -

That’s a good, solid win. I’ve no idea what our record is up there but historically it’s a venue I’ve always viewed as a ‘tough place to go’. Things seem to be clicking for us at the minute. We’re playing well and guys who have been contributing very little are starting look like regular starters in a team pushing for promotion. I have absolutely no doubt that the return of Mark Durnan has made a huge difference, a great captain and a really solid operator at this level. His return seems to have galvanised this squad and we can only wonder what might have been had him and Brett Long not missed the majority of the season. How did young Lennon get on at left back yesterday? It’s the one position that worries me a bit given we don’t actually have a natural left back in the squad. Consistency is key so we need to keep this going heading into the playoffs. With Uncle Faz at the helm I’m never fully convinced we wont go out and get pumped next weekend but maybe that’s just the pessimist in me.
