  1. Might as well have a game of red card bingo to maintain a wee bit of interest in proceedings.
  2. An ariel view of Hampden during the 1938 Scottish Cup Final apparently. Found it on Pinterest.

  4. I can kind of understand that (not the alleged tenner for under 5s). A few seasons ago the Rovers stopped their concession turnstiles so kids, students, OAPs etc had to buy their tickets from a booth and provide ID. The proportion of full paying adults rose considerably as it reduced fraud. What clubs are doing now is generally no different to what happens at the cinema - you either buy tickets online in advance or you pay at the desk, walk to the cinema you're going into and hand over your ticket or phone to be scanned. There's no perfect solution for everyone, but I can't see it being an issue for anyone remotely interested in going to a game. My son went along to an East Fife game last season when the Rovers were playing on the Sunday (possibly East Fife v Airdrie) and the ticketing system was absolutely seamless.
  5. Fair enough to an extent, but Celtic won't sell out next Saturday against St Mirren nor in the last round against Morton. However, you won't be able to walk up and hand over cash at the turnstile. The fact you can buy tickets with cash at a booth a few yards from the turnstiles suggests East Fife aren't doing much wrong with their actual system ( other than the pricing).
  6. Mine as well. I credit him with turning me into the athlete I am today.
  7. So if I decide at the last minute to head to Parkhead to watch Celtic, I can pay cash at the gate and not have to bother with a ticket in advance? Thought not.
  8. Given we had just shy of 1900 home fans on Saturday past, I'd hope we'll break 2000, especially as the clubs have been reasonably sensible with the ticket prices.
  9. More so the fact that they missed out on Simon Murray and punted Zak Rudden out on loan.
  10. That was the game where Iain Munro got his jotters in the car park after the game.
  11. Inside today's 52 page programme: - An interview with man of both clubs Craig Dargo, - Match reports and photos from the Dundee, QP, Cove and Linlithgow games, - A Memory Match from a Scottish Cup tie almost exactly 20 years ago , - An interview and centre spread with Brad Spencer, Plus all the usual features including - Manager's Notes, Mascots feature, On This Day, Quiz and Stats. On sale in and around the ground for only £3.
  12. Rovers put out a reserve team against Man City in 1995 as it was a few days after their first European game against Gotu. I'm sure the friendly against Man City ended 2-2. Andy Dibble was in goals for them and Les Fridge for us.
  13. We've had very few games postponed since we got our plastic pitch. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
  14. I'm not sure the FFP even send reporters to games anymore. Any quotes are directly from Raith TV interviews and the match reports give the impression of having been compiled from watching the highlights.
  15. If the referee had stuck to his guns in disallowing the goal for that reason, I'd have disagreed, but accepted it was a difference of opinion. However, the referee totally pissed on his chips by awarding the goal then disallowing it a second time. If he believed the Linlithgow player was stretching, I'd love to hear his explanation for awarding the goal.
  16. It was Connolly, but you're spot on - he was well onside as I was standing right in line with it.
  17. Was there not a time when Rangers boycotted them because they were sponsored by McEwan's at the time?
  18. I honestly have to say the Linlithgow fans around me were as sound as the proverbial pounds. I've no idea why there were several van loads of polis for a game which didn't even have segregation. The disallowed goal was absolutely farcical. No idea why the linesman saw fit to raise his flag, but for the referee to award the goal after a conflab with the linesman, then disallow it seconds later, beggars belief.
  19. The journey back tonight might not be plain sailing.
  20. I'm consoling myself with the fact that if we get pumped tomorrow it'll barely merit a mention.
  21. Was Sinky not loaned to an Irish club as well at one point? Portadown?
  22. Big incentive for both clubs now on Tuesday. Home tie at home to Premiership opposition with a decent travelling support (around 2000 at Arbroath I believe).
