  1. 5% is probably more than enough for league two anyway.
  2. Three corners - a penalty. Did you never have that rule when playing shooty-in when you were younger? Anyway, at least the gadge who threw the bottle has been identified and banned.
  3. Pretty much my thoughts. But in no way was it a game changing decision. If the referee doesn't give it, we lose 1-0 instead of 2-0.
  4. I've no great problem with that. We give it out, so unfortunately we have to take it back.
  5. We've had three clean sheets in a row, in which Ross Matthews has been a huge part, so why bench him today?. We've had the better of United before today because we've been strong and robust in midfield, but we were far too lightweight today. Either Matthews or Byrne had to start so we could play Stanton a wee bit further forward.
  6. A change from when it was a fiver a ticket for the Abbotshall and you got a chicken leg and a sausage roll when the DJ had his break. The only reason you didn't wear jeans to it back then was if you were going on to Jackie O's afterwards.
  7. I agree. The white and navy away top was a classic, as was the green bukta goalie top that Murray McDermott wore. I remember buying the white kit with birthday money from Brown's Bazaar.
  8. Please play him in the game against The Rovers on April 19th. That way we'll be awarded a 3-0 win irrespective of the actual score after 90 minutes.
  9. I've been to Tannadice many times over 35+ years and watched United a fair bit when I lived in Dundee for four years. I agree with you wholeheartedly - I've never seen any bother near any pubs, even at derbies and games v Aberdeen. Touch wood, there hasn't been any hint of bother at any of the games so far. We've all said our piece about the United board's decision on tickets, but that's no reason for there to be any bad blood between the fans. It's not yet four years since Rovers and United fans walked side by side across the Tay Bridge in an attempt to raise funds for the legal fees as Hearts attempted to deny us both promotion. Hope it's a great game and a great atmosphere.
  10. I had to drive to the game in December, so didn't bother with the pub before it. The Clep Bar on Clepington Road always used to be a popular haunt for Rovers fans.
  11. I'm pretty sure that if it was the police trying to limit numbers, both Rovers and United would have said so and expressed their disappointment. The number of fans in the station and city centre is likely to be miniscule in the grand scheme of things.
  12. You'd think they might go to the bother of getting his age correct.
  13. Congratulations on a well deserved win. Hope you have a good celebration tonight.
  14. Is that three penalties in a row that Mehmet has saved?
  15. Rewind two seasons and Rovers fans were saying exactly the same thing. Musonda is a very decent defender, but his lack of availability, whether due to injury or internationals, made it difficult to justify a contract extension.
  16. There's absolutely no justification for anyone abusing office staff, but that statement from United is absolutely reeking. I wish we'd laid into Celtic like this when they denied us any tickets for the league cup game a couple of seasons ago with over 35000 empty seats in Parkhead.
  17. Given there was over 10,000 at the December game, I reckon we could have been looking at close to a sell-out for this one. Crazy that it's going to be awkward for United fans to get tickets as well.
  18. If that's the case, why not just say so. How much extra can it cost to police 2000 rather than 1300 though? Or, easier still, stick the Rovers fans in the side stand like they do at Dundee derbies.
  19. No need for astro pitches to be poor or dry - they're easy to water. How many clubs in Scotland currently have a "good quality grass pitch"?
  20. Why? How are they more embarrassing than tawtie fields like Dens Park this season? If there's a proven injury risk then fair enough, but in that case they should be banned full stop as a part time player or a kid shouldn't be more exposed to injury than a full time player.
  21. Anyway, to matters more important, if anyone is missing their Stuart's kebab pie fix on weekends when Rovers aren't at home, the new Avens shop next to the ice rink stocks them.
