  1. It's absolutely embarrassing and shameful that the SPFL don't have the dates finalised for the playoffs by now. Fans are trying to plan work shifts, child care etc while Doncaster and his cohorts are sitting with their thumbs up their arses.
  2. You've probably answered your own question. He was probably dropped because he was calm and measured.
  3. If Aberdeen beat Celtic in the cup semi this Saturday then our playoff final against them will get moved anyway as they won't have them playing us at Pittodrie the day after the Scottish Cup Final.
  4. Unfortunately, due to Inverness needing a result and us having nothing to play for, it's hard to see anything other than a home win. However, I'd love to give that vile b*****d his tawties 30 years to the week since his vicious assault on Jock at Ibrox.
  5. There's also a decent chance that the Campbells will attract extra sponsorship to the club as well, which will then help the budget. I'd be very surprised if Avenue Scotland, Pink's recruitment agency, doesn't appear somewhere on East Fife's strips next season.
  6. Aberdeen only 5 ahead of 11th with 5 to play. Just saying.
  7. You've got to imagine a budget had been agreed for next season before the Campbells took the job.
  8. Today was a hard watch, but I'll cut both teams a bit of slack given the conditions. Sitting in the south stand I was well aware there was a bit of wind, but it was only walking down the steps into the concourse at half time for a Colin Nish that I fully appreciated how strong the wind was. Positives from today - another clean sheet for Dabrowski, with a couple of decent saves, also Vaughan provided a spark when he came on. Negatives - seeing so many professional players with a first touch akin to an elephant and the fact I'm no further forward as to our best eleven and best formation.
  9. A few weeks ago Morton were the form team and the one everyone thought they'd want to avoid in playoffs, but they've dipped and Airdrie might do the same. If Dunfermline were to make the playoffs now, they'd be going in as the form team.
  10. There's been endless speculation on here and elsewhere as to the Millen situation. More heat than light shed on it, as you'd expect, but it certainly isn't due to injury.
  11. It's open again. I drove along it today - a wee bit messy outside the quarry itself, but pretty much okay.
  12. I've watched the highlights of a good few games over the weekend, where the wind was a massive factor, and of all the games I've watched, Airdrie were the team who still managed to play the most fluent football. Imrie's gang were torn to shreds. However, if Rovers are remotely serious about winning the title, they have to win tonight.
  13. Another five would be better as that would involve turning the Pars over on the final day. Although, I'm going to be nice and hope Ayr finish with five straight wins.
  14. Just looked at your last five fixtures. It would be nice if you could keep your "win one, lose one" record going right to the end. The nine points you'd collect would see you finish in a decent position and it would inflict damage on Morton, Dundee United and the Pars.
  15. Fingers crossed for a full and speedy recovery. Jim is one of life's good guys.
  16. The worst decision from the officials was to flag Hamilton offside when he was through on goal and the ball had been played by the Ayr player. More of a blunder by the assistant than the ref.
  17. That was when the International Physicists Convention renamed the unit of gravity from the Newton to the Yogi.
  18. The orrock quarry road (b9157) was closed due to flooding today, for anyone coming in from the south or west. A wee bit longer to come in the A92 and down Oriel Road, but might be easier.
  19. You missed a trick. You could have quoted our average home gate for 2020-21. East Fife in the league below had average gates as big as us that season.
  20. It was director Bob Paxton who cast the vote. He survived initially, but was ousted when Alex Penman gained control in 1994. The ultimate in turkeys voting for Christmas. And I'm still waiting on a convincing explanation as to how reducing the top flight from 12 to 10 was ever for the greater good of Scottish football.
