  1. Of those who are berating the strip, the collar seems to be one of the things that a lot of people are saying spoils it. It could have been an absolute beauty of a strip with just a wee bit more thought into the design.
  2. Not taking the credit for this one - but it was nice to see Grant Gillespie at the game yesterday.
  3. There was around 4000 at the Friday night game which was abandoned, so given that it's the League Cup (no season tickets), live on the telly and right at the start of the Fife fair fortnight, I'll say between 3000 and 3500.
  4. If, and it's a big if, Ethan Ross gets back to the form he showed in October / November 2021 he would be impossible to leave out, never mind find a place for him.
  5. My first thought when I saw the Celtic top was Peppermint Aero.
  6. 20 Regal King Size please. Although on the whole it's quite a nice strip.
  7. I think you're being too generous. There must have been several involved in the design. At least two people for the collar alone.
  8. Dabrowski seems quite excitable. Looking forward to seeing him in the derbies when we score at the North end.
  9. Good finish from Gullan. Played cleverly on the shoulder of the last defender.
  10. I'm not liking this one holding midfielder. Can see us getting horribly exposed by better teams in our league.
  11. 2-1 Kelty. You could drive a bus through our defence. Watson injured after colliding with Dabrowski.
  12. 1-1 stood off and let the guy shift on to his other foot far too easily.
  13. I'm just waiting on the beaks kicking us out the competition for our Trialist goalkeeper having Dabrowski on the back of his jersey. Would you put it past them? Kelty been all over us - hit the post with a cracking free kick just before our goal.
  14. The 1994-95 version was better than the 93-94 version as it was enhanced by a blue chip sponsor.
  15. That looks 100 times better. Make the collar plain navy and the socks the same shade as the top and you have a winner.
  16. The way to avoid any Hunnery would be to release the away strip from that era - same design, but white with navy trim.
  17. The new strip could have been good, but has turned out absolutely ghastly. The collar looks like it belongs to two strips, neither of which are this one. An understated navy collar along with white shorts and socks and it might have looked quite nice, but like a lot of Joma kits, it's far too busy and garish.
  18. The ones that said "Don't follow me, follow Raith Rovers"?
  19. Pretty much my take as well. The Puma half and half top was classy, with subtle detailing, whereas the Joma one looked like the kind of football top you find in shops located under self catering appartments in Benidorm beside the buckets and spades. A half and half top should be the same on the back (like our Puma one). The self coloured back on our Joma one further spoiled it. Even the collar looked like it belonged to two different tops.
  20. These strips are cracking, especially the home one. So many retro kits end up looking like pale imitations of the original, but that one is nailed on. I thought this season's Port Vale top would have been a belter of a Dumbarton top, but the Macron one is even better.
  21. Shamelessly nicked from the Pictorial History section of Pie and Bovril. 100 years ago today since we set sail for the Canaries on the infamous Highland Loch.
