  1. You honestly believe they’re any worse than Vale of a Leithen and with a few additions could easily match Dalbeattie Star for me ! Your problem is you appear to simply want to put the South down like this other clown Mallo
  2. Which place do you refer to here ? The Licensed Clubs will still take their places , Musselburgh won the East / West Shield to claim that spot and the possible League winning route looked clearly to have been between Threave and Stranraer anyway so effectively making that place irrelevant regardless of the outcome in that particular race !
  3. So do we assume you have infinite knowledge of the thinking of all these pissed of apparently classed as ‘lower level’ Junior teams , many from South / Central Ayrshire who just might think they've been tremendously hard done by ? It might well be pointless , time will tell and thanks for your good luck wishes
  4. Why would they be ? The first 3 are in the South and the latter as you know are West / East / West so what exactly is the point of your question ?
  5. Apologies I deleted the initial comment to attempt to male a further point ! Perhaps with all the confusion with the new West etc you assume it wasn’t prudent of the Association to remind people of the application deadline just in case they were totally and quite probably pissed off with the hand they’ve suddenly been dealt in the last few days ?
  6. Totally agree with the above Billy and fair play to the Club for having a go ! In many ways it makes sense , geographically and financially although I think the lads would’ve preferred random Conferences to help find their feet rather than this hastily arranged stitch up ! The foundations are there , the opportunity is there and I’d like to wish the Club and the lads all the best in this new venture , might even catch up with you one day again in a Cup tie ........ all the best
  7. Come on Billy we all know it’s bugger all to do with that and only because of the Tier 6 status afforded to them for briefly being part of the South ! Nothing else nothing more .........
  8. Perhaps , they did tell me the geographical situation was key to their decision and the away support will certainly outnumber the home of that there’s absolutely no doubt ! I guess as has been pointed out the worst that can happen is a pretty difficult opening campaign then Tier 7 if that’s what transpires and realistically they won’t have expected to be top 4 in any of the Conferences anyway. In that respect they’ve nothing to lose and potentially much to gain if they can relatively successfully negotiate their first season and regroup for any future level where they be more able to consolidate and compete in !
  9. With all due respect they are literally miles away from Licensing at their home ground ! There’s no stand of any description ( not even a covered area ) , the perimeter fence is sort of covered in the most see through netting imaginable , not so sure the floodlights will meet the new specifications , the changing rooms require 5 showers minimum and there isn’t even cost hooks in the modular buildings ! They are new to senior football admittedly but a License must be miles off , many Junior teams will be far closer already without even having actually been looking at the criteria , simply having adequate facilities for players and supporters
  10. They appear to have an excellent youth set up coming through the age groups but we didn't see it transpire into support for the senior team ! They certainly had several good players but in all honesty having seen our team play Linlithgow Rose , Culter , East Stirling , Beith , Kelty and Glenafton in recent seasons they most certainly aren’t anywhere near that level and they’ll almost surely struggle unless they manage to add quality and in numbers to the guys already there !
  11. I’m not aware of this , are we talking Bonnyton here or one of the Junior teams ?
  12. I realise the SFA made the changes , I merely meant it was to the detriment of the WOSFL in everyone’s eyes that whether it was pushed for by Clubs or merely we’re led to believe because the admin side couldn’t have coped at Hampden I find unacceptable if true ! Surely they could have increased the staff if this is to be believed
  13. Asim they and Caley Braves were the sides with basically no support in the South and I don’t mean to be disrespectful here but it’s a fact ! Whether it was home or away these sides had effectively no supporters and in that respect they won’t add anything to the West Premier but I wish them well ! The travelling support , the chance to play these illustrious names albeit probably only for the initial Conference season and the opportunity to visit pastures new were huge considerations for all these new and potential Clubs so to have the status quo effectively remain isn’t a great start in my eyes
  14. I believe you’re correct , 4 or 5 of the team moved to the Juniors I’m pretty sure ! They have the advantage of the catchment area but for me it still doesn’t sit well that the West has changed the overall scenario that all the Clubs thought they were getting involved with ! I’m sure many ambitious Clubs were hugely looking forward to testing themselves against the various Super League sides they hoped to draw in the Conferences , I know it was a big consideration for our Club regardless of how we may have faired. That carrot has been taken away and I honestly feel it’s to the immediate detriment of the SFA and the WOSFL for removing those glamour games
  15. Apologies technical guru ! I’ll try better in future
  16. That is possibly true but I’m sure they’ll hardly agree that’s a bonus for having to endure what will almost definitely now be an incredibly difficult season ahead ! What if they begin to really struggle to keep the heads up if results start to go against them and perhaps players might drift away in the long winter months leaving them with a threadbare squad , it’s hardly what they signed up for is it ?
  17. They fought what ? Fought to avoid losing brain cells listening to your endless negative drivel
  18. Voting is to be in for 5pm on Monday with 4 options available before a resolution is declared
  19. Your initial points are correct but I’m sure Bonnyton and the 50 other Junior teams didn’t sign up for this only to see the goalposts moved once they all agreed this move ! Your assuming every Junior team is at a higher level than the South then clearly you are a FUD
  20. With the exception now of only Caledonian Braves in the South and Kello in the West we realistically don’t have the overlap you claimed on your previous post ! Nothing to do with the South’s place in the Pyramid as you know , you’ve spent several months deriding the South and now you want to be grown up about it !
  21. Agreed but why was this allowed to happen ? My point realistically is how as this fair when all Clubs were led to believe they were on a equal footing in the inaugural season then this happens !
  22. Judging by the reaction you frequently get on here you’re the real joke !
  23. I’m guessing Bonnyton aren't too happy at the goalposts being moved in the WOSFL ! They’ve went from being geographically well placed to compete in a random Conference to being thrown into the deep end with the entire Super League. Pretty sure this wasn’t what they expected to get when they signed up and I’m sure others in the South that contemplated this move are relieved ! What will the other 50 applicants think of apparently being ‘shafted’ by the big boys in this new path
  24. This old gem again ! Hold on , tell you what why doesn’t everyone just bend over backwards to appease the former Juniors who’ve finally decided their set up needed to be refreshed for the good of the / their game’ ! Everyone gets the strength of some of these teams but it simply doesn’t give anyone , you included , the right to just bounce in here and say ‘you know what , let’s punt the existing teams down a tier or 3’. Any future amalgamation may well happen and if or when it does fair enough folk will deal with it but until then spare everyone outside your bubble this old ‘everyone is pish nonsense’ , it does tend to get tedious after a while.
