What I don’t understand is why we have such little budget to make new additions. Yes we have to sell a minimum of one decent player a season to keep us just ticking over. However a small compo for Dean, a decentish fee (approx 300k) for Max. As well as a fee between 500-1mil for KVV. That’s some pretty decent income, paired with others leaving such as Mandron, Goss, most likely Casey. Their wages are gone surely can replace 1/2 for a similar wage.

Could be wrong as the comments about Danzaki from SK weren’t great, but could him not being in Holland be a Visa/ passport issue? As it took us long enough to get him over here.

SK said deal agreed with his new assistant so guessing an announcement will be imminent/ before Saturday (hopefully).

I quite like the appointment of Foster in his career he was a very good player until that play-off game and then just an average SPFL player but the guy has experience of playing in many champions league (even last 16) and Europa League games. Actually like him better than most I’ve watched on sportscene over the years and if SK trusts him then that’s good enough for me right now. If we get him in to help on matchdays even better but hopefully SK gets his assistant and a coach.

Same agency as the likes of McKinstry it’s who a lot of young Scottish players get tied down to from a young age these days but everything about them is 9/10 drumming up interest in there client and moving them constantly.

Given the correct resources backing and trust I’m very much starting to really like Kettlewell and the players at his disposal right now. We’ve always known these players were good but playing well below par. Let kettlewell bring in an assistant and hopefully a first team coach too and have a good proper structure, sometimes I feel it’s a big workload and just 2 ideas on the touch line you can run out or only bounce they ideas off one 3 heads better than 2 etc. As others have said things like Cheif Executives don’t have a massive display on the park these guys come and go and shouldn’t have a big impact at a club like ours. If there was any sort of disconnection with a CEO and fans or management it would be solved pretty quickly I think. Hopefully we can also sort of the script with the reserves and academy and give these youngsters a solid and flowing pathway and not too much uncertainty and someone who can have a big impact on their futures. Let’s start looking up back the team and new set up as well as to get as many folk bouncing in the stands of Fir Park again and enjoying matchdays, you never know we might be able to make amends for this seasons shit show and European disaster.

If SK is to get the job let him bring in his own coaching staff preferably assistant and coach with experience let’s not make the same mistake of having 2 rookies run the show. Let clarkson keep going with his new role. Happy with SK to sign as manager until the end of the season with a view to next season granted he does well and keeps us up convincingly.

Aye on his game and for about the best part of the season he’s been the only kind of shining light with goals. Yes he can be lazy but by f**k Wednesday and yesterday he worked his socks off and his daft wee runs from nowhere to get us up the park are excellent. He’s a good guy maybe with a bit of an attitude but everyone ends up at Motherwell for different reasons and he clearly loves being here.

Was slightly disappointed not to see Aitchison come on thought he looked lovely the other night and he could have hurt hearts back line today even for 15 minutes. Every game the boy Furlong gets better and more confident I like him. With regards to McKinstry don’t mind not seeing him play he’s very much hit and miss and seems uninterested a lot of the time unless he has the ball but his agent is clearly trying to drum up some interest in him already with the constant press shite.

Excellent performance today all over the park I can’t believe how good Sean Goss is. Certainly be more than happy to see kettlewell stay and take us forward, the way he talks is brilliant simple things of identifying other teams’ weaknesses and you see that on the park then taking advantage of it. Would love to see what the man can do with Slattery and get him back to his best like his first 6 months if he can turn Goss into an all action midfielder and pick out perfect passes all game.

Didn’t want him moving back to Scotland at the time or even hibs as he had a wee situation with a physio while under 20s manager at hearts very similar to our own old 20s manager Stephen Craigen (rumours of course)

Having spoken to fans of other teams at work etc. they seem to think kettlewell spoke very well pre and post match and of course he got us a much desired 3 points and if he does so again Sunday then most likely he’ll get it. Personally I like all 3 of the men in the shortlist as well as kettlewell, but to push on maybe we should let SK do the job he is doing just now and if we go down then give him the job but quietly confident we will stay up. Holloway bit of character and knows the game very well and would be some laugh. McCann don’t know too much about him but he’s done very well at clubs albeit sacked this season but he’s kind of what we’ve had past success with. Jack Ross good Scottish manager would do well even if we went down, knows the game well and just because someone didn’t do great in their last job doesn’t make them a bad manager (Eddie Howe for example in his last season at Bournemouth) my only concern is he’s a very dull guy and not much energy or motivation like the way kettlewell came across or like Robbo or GA in his first year. Happy with any of the 4 mentioned to take us forward with Kettlewell obviously being the cheap and easy option which failed this summer so can see us possibly not going that route, as it means no excuses can be left come the end of season.

Heard some small rumours of us going the DoF route nowadays. So hear me out… Ian Holloway comes in keeps us up as well as having an absolute jolly of a time, keep Kettlewell as a coach to Holloway (he gets the job in the summer and Holloway the new Director of Football.

Feels good to walk away from Fir Park with a smile on my face and many others. Every play to a man outstanding, played some good stuff and some not so pretty stuff but that’s what we needed and it was class to see. Btw Dan FUCKING Casey and dare I say Sean Goss both putting in tremendous performances. Not silly enough to know that’s us turned a corner but it’s a very good start even with Aitchison looking lively off the bench. Shoutout to both young wing backs both very impressive tonight young Max outstanding and Furlong bit shaky to start but second half superb.

Everything looking towards a tasty cup tie and in Motherwell style. Supposedly as many as 12 out tomorrow… most likely that’ll change by tomorrow but lamie and mcginn are 2 of them. For the sake of the club I hope we win this game and we urgently need to start winning games but I still won’t be backing hammell until I see players actually play for the badge and put in the required effort.

As bad as things are obviously our current situation (relegation) makes things look even more doomed than we are and in the 6-12 months the way the club has been run is extremely disappointing. We are a community club and it’s amazing to do these things away from the pitch but most importantly it’s what happens on the pitch that should and always will matter. Have no great opinion of Burrows but this move does come across pretty snakey especially when he’s supposed to be in charge until a replacement is found which most likely won’t be the case and the jump to a team just slightly bigger than us isn’t exactly striking a major step up for him. I liked certain things with regards to his fan communication on social media (although it does bring out the Motherwell roastsrs) but he is basically a fan who’s done a decent job but someone like him shouldn’t have been in charge of transfers etc. even though he did bring in a record transfer fee but that was hardly surprising with turnbulls talent. Certainly not a good look for the club though and the communication recently from club to especially well society members on these matters has been poor. Again though this may not be the worst thing to happen and we get someone new in with fresh ideas and competent at the job.

Just to keep us off topic he’s a decent guy and anytime I’ve been in spice I’ve enjoyed it. He’s also just opened up the new German Doner Kebab in hamilton.

For me and it’s been brought to attention by others so far. Heard similar regards to training without knowing full details but it all starts to make sense with Hammells “ego” and by the way we are playing it has shown this season. His inexperience is killing us it’s just pure youth coaching all about “performances” which we can’t even do now, as each game goes on the level of effort from the players is clearly getting worse and worse as if they aren’t playing for the manager. A man with any self respect to this club, he’d do the right thing and accept he’s not upto the job. Let someone else come in and take the hit for going down (if we do) and keep intact his legend status as such as this is clearly not working out.
