  1. St. Johnstone closing in on the filth as well. Assuming we beat the subhuman scum on Sunday, I wouldn't be averse to sticking out a youth team next weekend.
  2. I'm one of those that really appreciates Ryan Jack. Folk who don't have f**k all knowledge imo. Anyway, I don't see Tansey weakening us. We have the second best defence in the league (by a country mile). We need to be more focused on scoring goals, and I think that's why we've brought in Tansey
  3. I doubt it tbh. He was shaky to begin with, but barely had a look in. McInnes has had a little more faith in him recently, and he's started to look the part; changed the game against County. Unless McInnes has someone special in line to come in I wouldn't imagine Storey will be leaving.
  4. How do you suggest we recoup the minimum 32000 lost ticket sales per season from having a stadium that small?
  5. Good move for all concerned I think. I've always liked Pawlett, but he's never pushed on and held down a first team spot, and he's 26 now. Perhaps a change of scenery will spur him on. He should be more than good enough for that league.
  6. I'm sure they'd be delighted to have a brand new pitch with modern facilities at their disposal.
  7. Personally I think the best location for a new stadium would be at the Harlaw Playing Fields. No idea who owns it, but if it's Harlaw academy surely a cheap purchase deal could be struck with free use of the facilities in return? Of course, the nimbys would be out in full force for that one as well!
  8. I have the impression that ACC are quite keen for this to go ahead. It means absolutely hee haw what ASC say; they're more than likely just trying to pander to the Westhill nimbys. If it comes down to the balance of public support, I'm quite certain it will go ahead; you just have to look at the respective Facebook campaign memberships. Yes have more than three times the members!
  9. Because season tickets already work out at a substantial discount anyway. A full price season ticket in the South cost £363, which works out as £19.11 per game (assuming 19 home games). In order to match the 'phase 1' discount of 50%, a total of £12.50, spread over the season works out as a season ticket discount of 3.4%. Alternatively, they could refund the difference on next season's ticket price.
  10. The club offer 'early bird' prices on season tickets as well, so simply introducing this kind of scheme to the season ticket pruchase would work. Obviously you wouldn't give a full 50% off a ST!
  11. If we have another winger/attacking mid lined up I'd be inclined to let Pawlett go to Dundee for the rest of the season to try and earn himself another contract.
  12. We got £600k for Miller iirc, when he had 6 months on his contract and we were heavily in debt. The fact that Hayes has 18 months on his contract, we have no debt, and is a hugely better player than Lee Miller would suggest to me that we should be looking at many multiples of that figure.
  13. He'd be better off with a litre of whole milk, but hey, if he plays like he has been for the past two matches he could smoke 20 fags a day for all I care.
  14. He'd have just turned 16 at that point. I don't think I'd have been as diplomatic at that age!
  15. To save you the trouble of searching: And I'm sure you'll want to chuck in the screamer he scored for you lot against der ***!
  16. Good tune mate! I love anything that reinforces my superiority. Of course, I don't need that do I? I have no idea, I suppose you should tell me, you appear to be the expert.
  17. If we lose either Hayes or McGinn, I wouldn't be surprised.
  18. Firstly, that the amazing opportunity to become a footballer could be described as a 'huge risk', is as derogatory as anything I've heard in some time. Each and every one of these youngsters are devout in their mentality towards AFC (or any other youth system), because they are fully aware that this is their only chance. That's not a bad thing; it's practically natural selection in a macroscopic environment. What divides these young lads, is the same thing that allows others to have careers in other industries. My Dad had a talent for being an Architect. You bet you're life on the fact he went above and beyond for his first job. Yes, I do feel I have the right to comment on certain players. I may only pay a number of hundred pounds a year - as most do - and I feel that gives me the right to have an opinion. I have no problem with a lad making the best of himself, f**k me, that's exactly what I'm trying to do myself. But you better believe, when I get to the place I want to be, I won't neglect the people that helped me to get there! If my value as an Engineer for the company that gives me a graduate job is negligible, you better believe I'll make it worth it for them before I move elsewhere. Fraser didn't do that. He had a few good games, and then fucked off for way below his market value. If I'm wrong about something, I'll accept a reasoned argument, and change my opinion. I can't visualise an argument that would change my opinion about Fraser...
  19. Rangers; afaik, the only club to have ever had their solitary European trophy presented to them in the dressing room. Because their fans were rioting in the stadium...
  20. While Celtic are a horrible establishment in their own right, this phenomena probably has a fairly logical source. Rangers are the epitome of a vile football club. Having existed for only 4 years, yet still been given the grace to play at Ibrox; they've embraced the worst elements of Scottish football. They've taken an attitude such that one would, from an outside view, feel they've been treated unfairly. It is ingrained in the psyche of every Rangers fan, that their club should be the talisman, the shining light, of Scottish football. Yet every time they travel abroad, they embarass themselves and Scotland in general. Absolute scum, to a man. Including my best mate. Vile. While they're equally as bad in other regards, at least Celtic fans can behave themselves when their abroad - and representing our country.
