We survived on 30 points last season (29 would have been safe). Think it will be around 27 this year meaning we need 12 points from 12 games. Given the run in we have I think that is quite a tall order.
Lets face it mate, we blew it big time. Home games against Glenafton and Rob Roy at home. Two real chances against 10 men and beaten in both.
The manager hasn't a clue how to set his team up, poor tactics and very little instruction during games. If we had won those games we would probably be safe. We had the same problem last season, an inability to beat teams in the relegation dogfight along with us. We are where we are because we are not good enough.
We need 12 performances like the St. Cadoc's display in the run in

Arthurlie 3v0 St.Cadocs. Where has this "Lie team been hiding. ? I hope someone is filming this. The 3rd goal was stunning.

Have you actually seen Arthurlie mate. We are rotten. I reckon Bellshill will win this one comfortably.

Seems to be a bit of clear out a johnstone burgh in the past few days with graham black going to arthurlie, jojo gllispie going to renfrew and dean scott leaving by mutual consent
That's Arthurlie signed a keeper and a right back in the last few days. They have been problem positions but we still desperately need a goalscoring centre forward. Don't think we bought the keeper as I think he was released by Burgh

Who's the manager just now?
Colin Reilly. He has been given a bit of leeway because of the state the team was left in but now its on his head. It's his team and it's not working. Quite a few fans turning against him. He talks the talk but unfortunately thats as far as it goes. A recent fall out between him and his assistant manager seems to have resulted in the brains of the operation leaving.

We were well beaten and if it wasn’t for some good saves from the keeper & last ditch defending it would have been more. Manager got tactics wrong and was forced to change it after being 2 down in 10 mins. 2 terrible goals to loose.
Should have had a penalty when Leyden was fouled in the box but somehow the referee gave a foul against him for kicking the player who had dived in front of him to block him getting to the ball.
Need to improve & fast. Some good boys in that team but the lack of proper coaching is seeing them being beaten far too easily. The manager stood like a lump of wood yesterday as his so called tactics were ripped apart in the first ten minutes. After the first goal he should have seen where the danger was going to come from and acted accordingly . The shape of the team was non existent. Is the manager up to the job ? Well he signed Bryan Wharton to sort out defensive frailties. Need i say more ?

Good 3 points yesterday at a tricky venue and got the job done early With 2 goals from Jordan Moore and he was probably denied his hat trick by an offside flag just after his second goal , arthurlie middle Of defence just can’t run and they played with no depth which was strange with pace Moore has , arthurlie we’re better second half and looked like a stonewall penalty to me but nae var so we will never know and then we killed the game with a fluke , 7 points in a week I wouldn’t have predicted but job well done , on a side note I see Blair mcnallys video from beith game Wednesday night and gall saying he told mcinally to win the junior cup this year , 3 year ago when he got licensed he didn’t want to play in it
Hopefully the Arthurlie manager sees this post mate. Tactically very poor. We are struggling with injuries but there are no excuses for going out and playing the way we do , game after game we give away goals a schoolboy team would be ashamed of. I didn't see too much between the teams yesterday but unfortunately when you are inept in front of goal and defensively, there is usually only one outcome. We need a miracle to stay in the premier division. We have some very good young players , all we need now is someone who can set them up to look like a football team.

Great highlights.
Arthurlie were the better team overall without playing anywhere near their best. Glens keeper had a howler for our first goal but thereafter had some excellent stops to keep the score down. He can also belt that ball up the park and Glencairn used that to get in behind our defence on a number of occasions.
At 3-1 Arthurlie should have been more than capable of holding on to that lead but poor defending let the Glens back into it. With respect i thought Glencairn had a couple of really good lads but the rest were stuffy, workmanlike players, who kept plugging away and nearly caused an upset.

They were well organised and very up for it-closed down well and always looked clever on the break.I think a large number of the players came across in one group from another club and if so that shows.Must be strong candidates for promotion.
A few of their players were with Arthurlie u20s last season. The Catlow twins who scored the goals definitely were.

Really don't think Talbot will go down. Sure they are going through a hard time at the moment but there is plenty of time for the best manager ever, at our level, to turn it around. I very much doubt there is anyone who could come in and do a better job than Tucker.

Mickley Wilson Hurlford to Kilbirnie, any good?
Absolutely rotten at Arthurlie so I wouldn't get too excited by his signing. Nice lad though and I hope he proves me wrong.

Two poor teams but the better of the two were, without a doubt, Cumnock. First half I thought Glens shaded it but only because the Nock were content to blooter the ball up the park and hardly strung any passes together. They looked far more like themselves when Boyd came on .
Glens were stuffy but didn't have much in the way of a real threat . Cumnock showed in the 2nd half they were a division higher than their opponents without producing sparkling football but doing just enough .

Johnny Miller new Arthurlie manager. Stevie Convery, Mark McLaughlan and Darren Ramsay part of the coaching staff
I really hope it's not too late and Johnny and Con can turn it around. Since the Darvel win we have been shocking. Some players don't look interested to be honest. Quite a few will be out the door as they aren't good enough. Our two main strikers who were scoring freely last season are done. Smith is at least a stone overweight and Carroll is at least a yard too slow. Dale Simeon is a shadow of the player he was and doesn't look happy, Thats our top three scorers from last season posted missing. Add to that inferior players brought in to replace the guys who have left, it has disaster written all over it. Millar and Convery have a proven track record but I fear even they will struggle to put a run of results together to take us clear of relegation. I will be absolutely delighted if I am proved wrong

Largs 4 Arthurlie 0. Embarrassing. Big changes required or we are in real trouble.

Fully deserved 3 points for Lang, we were terrible especially at the back, gave 3 goals away with very poor play from both full backs. 2nd half our passing and final ball were poor and never threatened the keeper until the end when Gary Carroll fired over but it was a difficult a chance.
That is twice this season that we have played Cambuslang after a good performance the week before and failed to turn up. Some players need to realise you have to maintain the levels you set against the top sides against the bottom sides.
Very worrying that the bottom team in the league have beaten us twice and deservedly so. Something wrong somewhere when you can't get up for a game that would have made it really difficult for Camby to catch us. Three really important league games coming up and if we can't take seven points from the nine available we will be bang in the middle of a survival dogfight.

Absolutely magnificent result for Darvel. Congratulations to everyone involved. The pre match speech was cringeworthy and I can just imagine him practising in front of the mirror to get it right. He loves the cameras , of that there is no doubt but the guy knows how to get his team playing great football.

I'm not aware of any clubs with registration issues on day one of the season, never mind 9 clubs. Are you perhaps referring to clubs playing suspended players on day one ?
Won't happen again. There's a loophole seemingly . Just play the suspended players as trialists. Know anything about that Glensmad ?
