  1. Includes Gretna/East Fife, Scottish Cup. Even after a defeat to East Fife I was really excited for the rest of the season. From that starting X1 we’ve only lost four. Chris Hamilton, Paul Willis, Gary Phillips and John Neil.
  2. WLLWWLDLLDLLLLLLLDLDLWLLLL. These form figures suggest the team he inherited was better than the current team.
  3. Went to pick up a team sheet 2.25. A couple of guys in the club said Honestly don’t take one, you won’t like what you’re about to see. I went to the match not expecting a win tbh but to leave with some optimism, especially for the AR match. Any slight hope was drained when looking at the starting X1. I don’t need to mention the match, the manager picks the team and we lost all chance before a ball was kicked. I was a big fan of Harvey as a manager and honestly still like him but enough is enough and it’s time to call it a day.
  4. Let’s not Forget the vice-chair recently sent a message to Fergie inviting him as his guest to a home match, also included was the chance to chat to the manager. Fergie failed to respond.
  5. Thanks for your concern and yes I did say to Gary I wouldn’t be going back, in fact the actual words used are I’m done with it. I wasn’t at Annan but a 6-0 defeat makes me angry because I care, like most supporters we all say I’m not going back at various times.
  6. Yes plenty. Basically blames Berwick as club for Blair Henderson choosing Edinburgh City. Which job would you go for if there was £100 a week difference in wages? "Sadly, we’ve had nothing but rain since and the fund is now gone" Does Dom do the accounts? There is plenty left as the vice-chairman eluded to at the open forum. "leaving a boardroom full of dinosaurs to run the club" Totally disagree with this comment. As reported by Berwick Mad, George Mathieson has provided to the supporters club a strategy for taking the club forward, hardly dinosaur talk. John Bell spoke well at the recent open forum, there was a couple of points arising from that meeting that worries me but its not because the chairman elect is a "dinosaur". "Whilst it’s blindingly obvious now that Johnny was the wrong man for the job, I felt at the time this was the case" The biggest load of aftertiming I've seen. There wasn't exactly a list full of shit hot candidates applied and the fact only two were interviewed tells you everything. At that stage Johnny was by far the best candicate and deservedly got the job IMO. "The first thing Mr Harvey did upon his arrival was send Cedwyn Scott – a striker on loan from Dundee – back to his parent club" Cedwyn asked to go back and this wasnt the first time he was spoken to for his attitude, the previous manager also had strong words for him. He thought playing for Berwick was like a kick about with his mates. Check his minutes on the pitch since his switch to Forfar. 9. Ahmed Aloualou - Fails to mention he is actually signed with a championship club in Alloa. Makes it sound like Johnny went along to a school hall and signed him up. FYI, I also think this was a poor signing. "any style of play whatsoever as the players now seem to have no idea or direction" There looked to be plenty of direction in our recent match against Peterhead. "Harvey arrived with a bit of a reputation for arrogance and talking nonsense from former roles. " Nothing wrong with a bit of arrogance if you are a football manager, I used to watch all his post match Penicuik videos and don't remember him talking much nonsense. This may come across as I am sticking up for Johnny, I'm not, I'm simply telling you the facts. Had a long conversation with JH on Monday as he totally disagreed with some of my comments on other platforms of social media. I told him my honest thoughts and I'll go along on Saturday with my pray mat and support the boys to hopefully win 3 points. Will you be there? Berwick Rangers is a fantastic football club with a proud history that is having a real shit time right now. Frustration and anger is getting the better of all of us with the pressure of the Lowland League and the uncertainty that would bring. A reminder of some happier times and what a difference fans make getting behind the team.
  7. Dom was asked to carry out a simple task by the vice chairman. Dom refused as he thought the vice-chairman was wrong and he was in the right. He was even allowed time to go away, re-think and still carry out the task asked of him. Dom still refused. Dom was released from his role. Tell me one job where you would still be in employment if you had done what Dom did. This has little to do with the actual tweet. ps. There is plenty left in the pot Dom.
  8. Queens Park only lost 2 of their last 9 and unbeaten in 4. Edinburgh have won 1 of their last 4 which was against us. Also Queens Park should really have had double figures in our recent Hampden meeting and we were flattered to lose 1-2 at Shielfield. The conditions levelled it a fair bit that night and we were second best all over the park. Clyde are simply streets ahead of us. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see us finding any joy in the next 180 mins.
  9. Percentage chances of winning final four games very close. With a 1 point advantage, Albion Rovers favourites to finish 9th. Berwick don’t have an easier fixture list as some suggested. Prices to a 100% book. Berwick Home vs Queens Park 17% Away vs Clyde 8% Home vs Albion Rovers 35% Away vs Elgin 25%. = 85% Albion Rovers Away vs Peterhead 8% Home vs Edinburgh City 17% Away vs Berwick 35% Home vs Annan 30% = 90%
  10. We have more chance of gaining 3pts on Albion Rovers on Friday than we do Saturday. Agg in 3 games vs Queens Park this season is 2-10.
  11. Berwick lost 7-1 to QP the last time they played them. Actually it was 1-2, do catch up.
  12. Jeez, this is a big blow. Daniel and his team can be proud of what they have achieved. Will the last person out turn off the lights. We need to find a buyer ASAP.
  13. Just looking at my tissue I did back in June before odds were published. Stirling Albion price at the time was based on a takeover and injection of 350k which collapsed. Underestimated Annan a little but it was clear 2 months before a ball was kicked who’d be battling to avoid the playoffs. Peterhead 2/1, Stirling Albion 3/1, Clyde 11/2, Edinburgh City8/1, Elgin 16/1, Queens Park 16/1, Annan 20/1, Cowdenbeath 25/1, Berwick 33/1 and Albion Rovers 50/1.
  14. Some scary figures in those losses but over the same period Berwick lost 130k. Luckily for us we had been well managed and banked revenue from Cup-ties. Being a PLC I presume you sold shares in this period which doesn’t show in the balance sheet but brings in important income, so actual losses likely to be lower. Many comparisons with Berwick and Cowden both paying out more they can afford to avoid the drop. You finished bottom twice and we look like taking that position this year so our plans haven’t exactly worked well. Berwick had the money in the bank to play with and you have been propped up by director loans. Albion had neither and set a budget they could afford at the start of the season (rumoured to be 60k) almost half of what we spent. Fair play to the Rovers for this approach. Directors come in for stick but it’s a near impossible job running clubs such as ours. You can’t get a player with valuable league experience for under £200 nowadays and with players getting paid for 52 weeks that’s 11k gone straight away. Interesting times ahead.
  15. Think East Kilbride will be far too strong for Cove and also do us in the final.
  16. Mr Strength makes a very good point on his twitter feed. This isn’t a time for a post mortem, this is a time to turn up in numbers and get behind the players. One thing they can’t be excused of is lacking effort. Felt a positive vibe around Cliftonhill last night and you can see that rubbing off on the pitch. Massive six weeks ahead, down but not out just yet. Come on you Gers.
  17. A bit of a kick in the teeth for Sheerin last night when he took Rents off. Bringing Kyle on in midfield and pushing Cox through the middle. Thought the big man caused them more trouble in 10 mins than Renton and Allan. Fraser was the one player that put his foot on the ball and tried to play yet he got hooked before Malcolm who was poor and looks to struggle in centre midfield. Seen a few complaining about Swann but I thought he was good, wasn’t his fault he was asked to send it long every time. I’d take him in a heartbeat. I would think for you Bollan has accomplished what was required but won’t get you to the next level, a change is needed for that. Not a bad squad for a new manager to start working with, a few additions and change of style could bring positive results.
  18. As we have still to play Albion Rovers at home, it is very much still in our own hands.
  19. You've left that on a cliff hanger.. Looking forward to the final chapter, hope it ends well.
