  1. Interview probably had more openness than I expected. Realistically he can't throw the manager or individuals under a bus when the squad is already low on confidence but he made some attempt to answer most things so it'll come down to whether or not people agree or at least accept the answers given from Mathie's POV.
  2. Funnily enough did just say he's looking for a club so that's Bullen sorted.
  3. Sure he's not at the Masters Football trying to find our new striker?
  4. As long as he sticks to being Richard Merry this time round then it's acceptable enough.
  5. Depends what people are realistically expecting out of this and on the type of questions they've been asked but personally I went for off field questions. I'm not sure a prerecorded Q&A with the MD is the place to address the managers future or any on field issues. More clarity on the recruitment process will be good and acknowledgement and update of off field issues is what I'm hoping for.
  6. Plenty of us have said communication from the club has been poor for a while so the Q&A might at least addresses some of the off field issues and maybe offer some clarity. Would imagine Mathie will be smart enough to avoid any questions around Bullen’s future or particular players and try to avoid heavily criticising any suppliers or volunteers which is fair enough. Hopefully after watching it we don't end up more depressed than we currently are.
  7. I think it was the travel up to Dundee rather than Scotland. He must have moved the family back up here last year as he's currently spending his time playing golf including a trip to Gailes a couple of weeks ago.
  8. Florian Kamberi is a 6ft 2 striker that's a free agent. Given the Hibs connection could Mathie not offer him a deal until January in the hope he becomes this seasons Shankland.
  9. Then you realise they picked Bullen and will pick the next one too so wouldn't get your hopes up.
  10. Yeah Young looked promising but everything else feels forced and swiching the ball high side to side sums up our lack of ideas. Rose probably did his best work running the channels 1st half which highlights both that he isn't a lone striker and our need for a target man / penalty box striker. At this point a lot will be resting on Murphy coming back and staying fit.
  11. McGinty getting feedback from the bench in the 2nd half and turning round and telling White that's the exact same as last week sums it up.
  12. I think the argument that people care less about performances as long as results are good only carries so far. For some people that might be something that you'd reflect on at the end of season. However on a game to game basis does shutting up shop with 30 minutes left against Inverness make your fair weather fans want to return or having 2 shots against Dundee United offer fans encouragement for the next home game. I don't think it does but the challenge is getting the balance right, which falls to Bullen.
  13. How are we securing players without making them an offer first? Also surely if Glendinning identifies a target, Bullen agrees and the deal is lost because Mathie doesn't want to offer an extra £50 then he's as accountable as the others?
  14. Always surprised people want us to go 4-5-1 this season when we tried it last season with a far better all round striker that was still left isolated and left us creating very little.
  15. Do wonder if Ross Stewart going to Southampton would impact that one if they can't get a replacement.
  16. The way some people post on here you would think our current problems are largely a managerial issue, (or the players, Mathie, Glendinning, Smith and so on). Is it though, I've never seen it? From the only interview he's given that I've read since he joined it was implied he watches plenty of games in person and produces detailed player reports highlighting strengths and weaknesses. Not sure why everyone thinks signings are simply data driven because they haven't heard of the player themselves.
  17. Proven players such as the ones Kerr signed in 2020 didn't exactly bring much success. People need to accept that every signing carries a risk of failure no matter whether they're signed from Scotland, England or elsewhere. Also I'm not convinced people actually understand the moneyball concept they refer to.
  18. Ayr United - Where good players become bad and bad players become good, in the eyes of fans as soon as they leave
  19. He should be available as Zambia play Comoros on the 9th and their training camp doesn't start until Monday. He'll miss Falkirk though.
  20. At least introduce yourself first, chill out and then tell everyone what you had for dinner. Rules are in place for a reason.
  21. With regards to Ahui normally loans can't be terminated in the first 28 days although not sure if that applies when cross borders loans are temporary transfers. However he would need to return tomorrow or Friday if he wanted to play for Lincoln before January.
  22. Not even the end of August and the team photo has 4 that have left, funnily all side by side, and 4 new signings that aren't in it. Next programme will have overlayed heads on the original photo thinking we won't notice.
  23. I'm not convinced Reda Johnson had ever watched Bangala play so fingers crossed this one has a better ending.
