Happy to be proven wrong as I don't know but I can only imagine that rugby league doesn't suffer the monumental distortion of competition that we do here that has ruined much of the enjoyment of Scottish football for many diddy supporters. Cheating or no cheating (I'm aware this isn't cut and dry) the racking up of such debts caused this destruction of competition for most of us. For that to then subsequently result in rangers running themselves into the ground and going bust was of course going to be pleasing for many, myself included. The bitterness for me was being told that we 'needed' to return to this broken, distorted, uncompetitive league situation which most diddies were totally disillusioned with. Countless season tickets bought out of blind loyalty hoping one day it might change, only to be told in no uncertain terms that the status quo must be kept even in light of Rangers destroying themselves. The frenzy was needed, of course there are extremes on both sides who can't debate reasonably, as is always the case in such passionate circumstances. I'm pretty sure rugby league has a good thing going that most fans enjoy and isn't in need of radical change unlike the farce that was/is our domestic game.

Good news if true although but will remain open minded until there is anything official from player or club. If he goes to England then I can happily thank him for his 5 years and wish him well. Hearts would have been a strange choice. But if you do want to stay Niall... -

A lot of our support seriously underrate McGinn. Consistency is an issue but he's one of our best players no question. -

I always felt this would be mcginns last contract with us. He's given us 5 good years and at 29 probably has one good move left in him. However, I'd be surprised and disappointed if it turned out to be hearts but if he does go c'est la vie, id stop short of wishing him luck though! My bigger concern would be that it signals the break up of this squad. Here's hoping it's not. -

I understood your point perfectly thanks very much. My point is that you are an unadulterated bore about attendances. It is very clear that you attach a lot of your self esteem to hearts average attendance at home and the fact you believe them to be a 'bigger club'. I really couldn't give a shit how many people attend hearts matches. I care about the dons and what they achieve and across history that is more than your club. Even still, I don't care. I love Scottish football and watching the dons. I loved the dons during the dark days of McGhee and I love them now. Your little maroon club don't bother me in the slightest. -

Rivalries aside I don't like seeing that happen to anyone never mind one of scotlands young talents. Hope he recovers fully and can hit the ground running again. -

2016 Scottish Cup Final - Hibernian FC v Rangers

The only thing that overshadowed the final for me was the fucking tv coverage ending before sunshine on leith. Everything else was absolutely perfect for a non-hibs fan -

I think some of you are trying to devalue what is a very real and serious conflict within Scotland. I'm no expert but as I understand it the protestants (aka 'proddys', orangemen, masons) control the sfa and thus the referees (see red card for Celtic yesterday) and the Catholics (aka kafflicks) control the media and reporting on rangers, hence the bead rattling BBC being given their jotters. The struggle is real, folks. -
Got a mate who's been sent offshore for Christmas and he's delighted. Can't be arsed with xmas and the pay is brilliant.

Agreed it's annoying. However I kind of assumed that they must have had complaints from the Muslim community because they used to just call them Islamic state. I wondered if maybe they felt it was unfair to allow them the term 'Islamic state' given the fact they are clearly horrible c***s and the Muslim community would want to distance themselves from it. -

Indeed. They also know that a couple of opinion pieces slating one side attracts just as many of them on both sides with one side saying 'spot on big man!' And the other frothing at the mouth with rage and sending them death threats. -

Also read this. If it wasn't so laughable it would be quite concerning just how much they are trying to paint this as fact that this is the silver bullet for Scottish footballer development. I think we all realise that any benefit to young footballers pales in comparison to the benefits for the clubs involved. -

Airport security does my head in. If I'm in a queue I take my jacket off and belt off in the queue so that when I get to the front I just need to empty my pockets then I'm good To go. Other people? They get to the front then spend half an hour getting themselves set. Despite about 100 signs in the queue informing you of what to do. "Oh I didn't realise liquids needed to be in a bag" "Oh yes I do have a laptop sorry I didn't know I needed to take it out" -

I'm not going to go as far as saying Maddison leaving will be a good thing but I do think there's an issue there. I was really happy when we arrived because I thought last season we were too reliant on creating from wide areas and mcginn and more so Hayes performing. I hoped Maddison would add another dimension to our play to keep teams guessing. But as others have said we seem to now just funnel it through him and rely on him. He's young, he's raw and doesn't always make great decisions so we can't place that weight on his shoulders. I'd still love to keep him, I think he has a great career ahead once he gets the mental side right. -
This appointment has shambles written all over it. Let's leave his racist history to one side for a second, the SFA must have known that this appointment would generate a shit storm. So why isn't Regan saying to mackay before they go to press conference "The public don't like this so go out and impress them. Give us tangible ideas, give us the reasons why you are the man for the job" That may have had one or two turn around and say hold on, maybe he does know what he's doing. But no, we get corporate fluff and then stories emerging in the papers that the priority is pushing through this colt idea that the majority of people fucking hate. Seriously why are they so clueless?

This thread is very therapeutic for me. I was born a few generations too late, I can't hack these young p***ks today. I was at work the other day and someone mentioned something about 'smilies' in a message. To which someone piped up "I can't believe you said smilies, don't you know it's an emoji, haha" Proper rage.
