This is very petty but BBC’s refusal to admit a World Cup game is on itv or vice versa. I fully recognise the commercial reason for this but “you can follow this game on radio 5 live” always irks me for some reason.

Can people stop saying McKenna was put in ‘out of necessity’. He wasn’t, the manager chose to give him his chance after the existing pairing was underperforming. This is how many young players get a chance. His record of bringing through youth is not great but quite why so many seem to want to remove any credit the one time he actually did it baffles me.

My advice would probably be don’t seek advice from a forum full of life’s losers (myself included).

Of course it had something to do with the fact it was PSG they were dealing with. How good the player is only one of many factors in the value of a player. You might have a point if there had been a queue of clubs offering Motherwell £3m for Carson and they still sat at 300k. Unfortunately they were looking for a cheap back up option in goals and weren’t willing to go any higher so they got Bain instead. Unfortunately a player is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

I do find it quite funny when people get offended when clubs try to buy for as little as possible and sell for as high as possible.

Difficult decision at centre half. Do we put faith in devlin and McKenna to be our centre half pairing and sign maybe a backup or do we push the boat out to sign someone to walk into the first team. I haven’t seen enough of devlin (nor do I know how injury prone he actually is) to make an informed opinion.

The first paragraph is absolutely fair and totally up to yourself in your opinion. The last bit is simply drivel.

Doesn’t particularly surprise me. He’s got some amount of ability. Combination of probably being two steps ahead of the rest of the team and also trying to do too much himself made him look ineffective at times for us. I had no doubt he’d carve out a very successful career for himself after he left us though.

I thought it was pretty common knowledge this is just a wee white lie told by husbands and boyfriends to avoid her eating them.
