  1. Aye, it’s reached the point that it really doesn’t matter if he has any point, he just seems very bitter and needs to move on. He gets egged on by the likes of macintyre and doesn’t seem to realise they all find it funny.
  2. ‘Rangers were good, hearts were bad. Rangers scored a couple of goals.’ You ever considered applying for a job on sportsound?
  3. I think there’s a decent foundation in the recruitment side, it needs to evolve though. We can forget we’re only a couple of years into the new model. We have to hope we’ve learned some of the lessons of the past few windows. I would question mainly the recruitment mix I.e. the balance between ‘project players’ and relatively known quantities. I think too often of late we’re seeing project players be relied on in key areas of the pitch which becomes a massive gamble, particularly defensively. Secondly, I’d be keen to know how final decisions are made on players. Guys like Richardson and morris, I can see from watching them how they might show up well statistically and come up as targets when you run things like dribbles completed, pace, athleticism, areas of the pitch they take up. But you don’t need to watch them for long to know they are at best very raw and not ready to be relied on. Richardson in particular was signed at the time to be first choice right back, with mccrorie to be in midfield with ramadani. This pretty quickly got ruined by the fact Richardson was pish. We’re then chasing our tails and changing shape to try and resolve this. That’s just one example but there are a few where lack of diligence (it would appear) has put us in trouble.
  4. - never been to Ross county so assume that counts - I’ve seen 3 draws at mcdiarmid, including Adam rooneys screamer, but don’t believe I’ve seen us win I’ve seen us win at every other premiership ground. Going into the championship, I’ve only seen us draw with Dunfermline at east end, seen us beat ICT, United, partick. Haven’t been to the rest.
  5. “We might get things wrong, but we’ll never be confused”
  6. I don’t think that’s really true. I do, however, think the lack of jeopardy to his career could lead him to give up on the team pretty quickly. Some of the post match language today isn’t great.
  7. The Warnock appointment is a good example of Dave’s failings. Not necessarily because Warnock is shit, but because he’s just got it all arse over tit. He should’ve read the tea leaves over robson much sooner, it was very clear the shambolic performances went beyond European hangovers. It was a team coached to fail in a huge % of Scottish fixtures. Then he fails to address the fundamental flaws in the squad in January. The lack of width/pace, the lack of good central defenders, the lack of balance in midfield. All very clear from very early on this season. He then sacks his manager too late and brings in a ‘name’ to do a rescue mission. But the vast majority of managers aren’t miracle workers. They can’t make a team that can’t defend suddenly go on a run of wins. Or expect powder puff midfield to go and compete at rugby park. I like Dave but he baffles me at just about every turn when it comes to football decisions.
  8. You have loads of time to feel sorry for yourselves. You could play shayden morris at right back on Wednesday, lose, take the 5 point deduction for fielding an Aberdeen player and still finish 3rd comfortably.
  9. He also tweeted that the plane home was ROCKING with the celebrations of drawing at half time in the tie. Great stuff.
  10. Well I’m presuming he doesn’t need the money and he came here to try and achieve something. He is already coming across like he doesn’t think this team has got anything in them.
  11. I’d be surprised if it reached that point, but a bit like the glass/goodwin season, we are throwing in the towel on winning football games a bit too early and you never know. If/when killie knock us out the cup then there’s a good few players who may completely chuck it. Warnock might even be regretting his choices by this point too.
  12. Pub bore talk. He’s done that his whole career, he’s just not what he was and surrounded by similar levels of shite.
  13. Sorry, but I’d give a lot to see us solid and effective for any length of time.
  14. Nah they are good. It’s just very, very organised yet effective football. Begins from the back, as do our atrocious performances. A clearly functioning defensive unit with enough quality in wide areas and up top to create.
  15. That’s one too many for me, sorry lads. I may go to the cup game but otherwise nah. No great shame in losing to a good killie side but the levels of performance today and on a staggering number of occasions this season has been absolutely abysmal. Not a single redeeming quality in 270 minutes against killie. They must find it hilarious how easy that was. Their easiest win since the last time we played at RP? Shameful from everyone involved. And aye, happy to say this is a heads gone from me. But it’s just not fun anymore.
  16. A word to the wise if warnock fancies bringing out one of his wee funny sound bites at 5pm tonight
  17. The existence of shite games doesn’t disprove the point though. Point to any league on the planet that doesn’t contain run of the mill fixtures that only really interest the fans of the respective clubs. It’s absolutely true to say that professionally englands top flight is where guys want to be. It’s just unfortunately where we are just now. La liga’s stock has dropped quite significantly in the last few years.
  18. I think 6th is our absolute ceiling to be honest. Kilmarnock are better than us just now, I don’t think that’s even debatable. There’s nothing to suggest we’re about to put together the consistency required to finish above them. Even in the unlikely event that we win tomorrow id hold the same view tbh.
  19. Curtis main and Sam cosgrove together was fun to watch.
