Leaving the Goodwillie issue aside, I can't understand why one or two of our fans were giving Rumsby a hard time, a player who gave 100 per cent every game for us,ditto Lennon who did a good job at Cowdenbeath before leaving for a team in a higher division. Life's too short for all that.

I think we could finish top half, outside chance of play off place. Goodwillie caused us all sorts of problems with his movement yesterday, and we contributed to that by holding such a high defensive line, enabling him to get in behind our back four, but we won't be facing players as good as him every week. I really like Kris Renton, but as soon as he was substituted we played much better working the ball through midfield and but for a couple of fine saves by Currie we could have got back into it. Given the last two seasons I 'm taking nothing for granted.

Cox dislocated his shoulder, but I understand that the physio was able to put it back in.

Pitch was difficult yesterday, but we've hardly had any rain all summer. Cove are a decent side and have improved since we last played, but we have improved even more.Tight game that could have gone either way. McGurn's save just on half-time was crucial.I think the reason we edged it was our attitude was better. Pleased for Cox that he got the goal after all the chances he has missed.

Pretty pleased with that. Hugely entertaining game with chances galore. Inverness are a full time top end championship side with some good players, Tremarco and Walsh especially, but we gave as good as we got first half. Third goal kind of settled it and was a blatant hand ball, somehow missed by the officials,who were inept throughout. Midfield performed better without Miller, though I would prefer Swann to Buchanan but perhaps the balance wouldn't be right then.Looks like Sheerin is going to become a legend in his own lunchtime.

Raith would be a different proposition with Wedderburn Milne and Vaughan in the team but that wasn't our problem. A deserved victory, Marsh and Talbot look really good additions to the squad.

A bit of needle creeping in. The first time I have seen Kelty and I was quite impressed. Uncompromising in defence, hard working in midfield, and lively up front The keeper farting about with the ball at his feet is an accident waiting to happen though. On the balance of play they deserved to win though ironically we had the best chances. Our line-up was experimental in personnel and formation but it would be wrong to imply that we weren't trying.

Can't Cox play out wide?

Morton have let Andy Murdoch go.He played in nearly every game for them. Somebody is going to get a decent player.Too good for us I guess,he will be snapped up pretty quickly.

Think we might have spent our budget now, and quite well in my opinion.

What happened to Frazer Kerr who was with you last season? He was a star with us.

Moussa is certainly a "handy" player. Looking at the photo of his overhead kick his feet are very high and very close to Rumsby's head so it could have been given as dangerous play,but it was such a good finish I guess the ref didn't have the heart to chalk it off. Having said that our young keeper had some good saves so it could have been more than three. Two games in four days against superior opposition was always going to be a tough ask and Dundee's high tempo pressing and slick passing ran the legs off them.There were some very tired players by the end. On the basis of our two games I would say Dundee have the edge over United.they look a bit more secure at the back quicker to close down in midfield and Moussa looks a bit of a player. Should be a cracking game at the weekend,looking forward to it.
