  1. Going to be hilarious when United are shocked at finishing fourth after signing a bunch of players who finished 4th.
  2. @banana shamefully trying to copy @Alert Mongoose's gimmick with the avatar. Desperate.
  3. Think they're just trying to post in a thread where something is actually happening tbh. Good craic coming into another team's thread to call them obsessed though.
  4. Go and have a talk and decide which angle your going with here lads. You're either trolling or still putting on a brave face, pick one.
  5. On the Williamson thing, I think it was always expected that once he got a full, injury-free season in he'd be off to the Premiership/England for 6 figures so it wouldn't really come as a huge shock but it would be a big loss. Wouldn't grudge him it though, he's a fnatastic player with bags of potential and if he wants to really hit the heights that he can now is the time to do it. Scotland's future RB imo
  6. Big boys like Livi? "He wasn't that good anyone, nobody really rated, we all just pretended to be gobbling his shift every game of the last 3 seasons, honest" Falkirk as a collective unit seem to be having a heid's gone this summer, it's glorious to watch.
  7. If that's what you want to tell yourself buddy than feel free to tell yourself that.
  8. So many people failing to understand the difference between can't and won't on here. We could have offered Clark, McManus and Aird far more than they're worth, but that would have been stupid and severely limited our options for who we can target. Instead we are freeing them off the wage bill in order to bring in player who are actually worth what they're asking for.
  9. I think if you get affected by what Billy the Bricklayer from Valley said about you on facebook then you're really, really not cut out for professional football tbh. My favourite thing about AJ is that he does whatever he thinks is best and isn't even remotely swayed by what the fans, or sometimes the players think. Because he's the professional football manager and it's his job, not theirs. If these players are upset and play shite because of what people have said about them on facebook, then that is probably the main reason that they are shite.
  10. You couldn't afford those players in the first place, what makes you think you can afford their more expensive replacements?
  11. If we were having a fire sale we'd be selling players who were under contract. We've been extremely well run for the past few years and this is continuing, the way the season went brought is in more money than we had budgeted for. We're simply unwilling to offer player more money than they are worth.
  12. Because we're not spunking money at the players like one of the team's in the division who has fuckloads of money to spunk, and another one who is spunking money that nobody is sure they actually have. We're placing financial security, stability and the long-term future of the club ahead of making a mad, expensive dash to the Premiership. In short, they're leaving because we're unwilling to match what other clubs are paying them. If I was a United fan I'd be asking the question "Where is this money coming from?" You have the highest wage bill in the league by a fucking mile last season and, most likely a larger one the season before. The fact that you are offering more money than anyone else, especially considering the well-publicised debt levels the club has, I would be seriously question what happens if you fail to go up again this season.
  13. Brave move giving it big licks with Aird before a ball is kicked, let's see how that plays out for you...
  14. Didn't you just say you were in the queue with two shite defenders getting a refund on your ST? Have you had a nap and changed your underwear I assume?
  15. I have calling you out for talking out your arse for far, far longer than that. Please quote that post you just referred to
  16. A question brought about by yet another of your fucking senseless posts suggestion that anything that ever happens at the club ever is AJ's fault, unless it's good. Anything good that does ever happen i'm assuming sends you in to some kind of trance/shock state considering that's the only time you're not spewing pish. Every single post/pre season this thread is filled with you hysterically screaming about how the manager should be sacked. You also thought that the best right-back in the league was shite and we should get rid of him before the start of last season, instead keeping Andy Geggan and Micheal Moffat. You also thought, and I'm assuming still do, that Morris was shite. You are proven, and quite often you prove yourself to be absolutely wrong with nearly/all the ridiculous nonsense you post. Occasionally, with the method of "fling enough shite, some of it will stick", something will happen that is vaguely related to something you have posted before, you will then take this as evidence that the endless wall of drivel you subject not only this thread, but this forum to, is vindicated and justified. Screw on your sensible head, make sensible, well reasoned posts and people won't accuse you of talking pish. Make daft posts in which you talk pish, people will accuse you of talking pish.
  17. It's possible that if my Mum had been born with a cock and balls I'd have two Da's, what's your point?
  18. I think looking at the squad right now, Durnan is a good, solid defender at this level next to the best centre-back in the league, who is also still young and improving year on year. Got the best right-back in the league on one side and the first-choice left back prom the team that finished 2nd and got promoted last season. We seem to have the best defense in the league on paper so absolutely fine going into this season with that. Midfield is still a big question mark. Beadling in the middle next to Craigen is a solid pairing of a very good player next to a decent player. Who is on the wings for us next season will be very important. I would like to see us keep Higgy as I think he has a great partnership with Williamson and, with Beadling and a very solid looking defense and with Williamson coming on leaps and bounds defensively , I think he would be afforded more freedom and less defensive responsibility than he's had for the last couple of seasons. He's a very good player and has scored 16 goals in the last 2 seasons, chipping in with plenty assists too. Left wing is the biggest area of concern just now for me, I, personally would be happy with Cardle as I still think he is an excellent player with 1 or 2 fantastic seasons left in him, tore Hearts up for arse paper at the start of last season. The only concern I have with him is keeping him fit, which means we'd need to have another winger who is good enough to potentially replace him for a significant amount of the season, but also happy enough to remain as a backup/rotation option if he stays. Because I don't think there is a player that is good enough to play first team AND happy to be a backup option, I feel we'll need to go and sign someone, most likely our biggest/most expensive signing this summer, or potentially a loan from The Premiership/England. Up front it looks as if McManus will be moving on which is a massive loss imo, although it seems we've brought in Longridge as his replacement who seems to be similar to McManus but with a trade off of work rate for a bit more ability. Then there's the other big question mark this summer, how do we replace Clark, or, de we even bother replacing him at all? As I've said previously I think not bringing anyone in would be a massive risk as neither Smith or Ryan seem ready to step into the role as main goalscorer for a team trying to win promotion. I'd feel a lot more comfortable with either a.n. striker (proven goalscorer at this or similar level, guaranteed at least 15 goals type) or Faissal, because even if he was shite I'd be too busy giving him the eyes to care. Next season looks as if we'll be lining up something like this: Robinson Williamson - new CB(Durnan?) - Ashcroft (c) - Longridge Higginbotham/new RW - Craigen - Beadling - Cardle/new LW Ryan/new ST - Longridge/McManus(if he stays) To me, depending on who we bring in, that looks like a definite improvement on the team we started last season with and a side very experienced at this level. If we get a top quality winger in and a sexy new striker/faiss I'll be reading myself for next year's title party already.
