  1. The zombieland bit between the city centre and the suburbs
  2. Doolan not going to put the B team out thinking it's game over?
  3. Wouldn't surprise me if Thistle went down to 10 men early on with a last man challenge and we proceed to being unable to break them down the rest of the game
  4. Either him or Murdoch wasn't sure between who as both were poor on Friday
  5. Albinson Kirk McGinty Musonda McAllister Smith Murdoch Ashford McKenzie Dipo Mullin
  6. They'll be 3,000 home max, would have probably been 4000/5000 Ayr fans if it had still been all to play for.
  7. Bullen seems confident of there being a massive crowd on Friday, not sure where he's getting that from. I've already been speaking to a few "casual" Ayr fans if you want to call them that who were telling me on Friday that as long as it's still a close affair after the 1st leg they'll be at Somerset, funnily enough none of them are going now. Expect we'll probably have 3,000 max and Thistle will bring that down so will be 50/50, if it had been all to play for we could have probably brought out 4,000-5,000 to take it to about 7,000-8,000 at Somerset, shame as it would have been phenomenal to see the old place bouncing like that.
  8. I wouldn't risk making a big song and dance about him coming back for Friday and then it gets to Friday night and he's not in the team. There would be a riot with fans thinking the club have just done it to exploit more ticket sales.
  9. Considering Livingston's accounts last month showed a loss of £800k+ they've clearly got an owner/directors who are willing to stump up the extra cash to cover significant losses, bit like us with Lachlan Cameron
  10. If Partick has started playing like this a few weeks earlier you'd of won the league, felt all season McCall had built the best squad in the league, especially with the front 4/5 attackers there's no contest compared to the rest of the squads in the league. Surprised he couldn't get the best out of them considering what he done with Ayr in this league back in 2018/19 with the attacking style of play. I'm sure if you get promoted he'll appear out of the woodwork to say that's the team he built that got you promoted.
  11. Jesus Christ lads calm down with the forensic investiagtion here. Just move on towards Friday, this isn't exactly out of norm considering during the season we had Musonda supposed to be coming back in the next week to training for about two months and then many a time under McCall where likes of Geggan or Adams were due to back "imminently" and you then wouldn't see them for about 4 weeks. Fact he's played every league game this season (virtually unheard of) is the only reason people are pissed off, if he had been out a few times already this season with different injuries it probably wouldn't have gained so much attention on Friday night.
  12. Says on his Youtube interview he knew a few days prior, clearly tried to bluff Partick but ended up bluffing ourselves
  13. That was the most exciting thing that happened in the game for us Ayr fans, that and the ned running about with the flare which i thought he was gonna fling into the away end and start WW3
  14. Thought Bullen set us up completely wrong last night which shows due to the inexperience and lack of big game management which has become apparent this season. The one game where you actually want Ashford to play to help out Reading and he doesn't, you've then got the midfield who should have been 3 man all day to try and get on top of Doc and Turner having all the time in the world to spray passes out to each wing for them to have a field day. Have no idea what on earth he was thinking playing a full out 4/4/2 with two wingers and two strikers against that lot, you're away in the first leg against a team scoring for fun, keep it tight and then take them back to Somerset and open the play up on your home patch. I wouldn't have given a shit last night if we'd done f**k all upfront but still been right in the game next week. But no... once again big away game, big away crowd & BIG LETDOWN Players didn't help him out either, big players such as Musonda, Dempsey, Murdoch and Mullin never turned up, thought Maguire was one of our best players especially first 15 minutes while it was 0-0 he was running the show in the middle of the park. For the criticism he gets too McGinty was fine apart from his slack clearance at the first goal but there was a further 3 Ayr players after that who never stopped the ball getting to Lawless and then by them to McMillan. I think if we get pumped at Somerset Bullen will do an Owen Coyle and walk as he'll know he'd be in an uphill battle straightaway for next season to get the fans back on board with him and i personally don't think your hearts ever in something 100% if the rest of your family is 260 miles down the road in Sheffield.
  15. If it's a 4/3/3 i'd fear it turns into a glorified 4/5/1 with Dipo too isolated
  16. Yep either that or McAlear instead of McKenzie if it's a 4/3/3 IMO
  17. Agree with that however we've not exactly set the heather alight at home the last couple of months, plus the wide open pitches usually actually help us going forward.
  18. Back to tomorrow night... I've no idea what line up Bullen goes for. Would say formation is a question of 4/3/3 or 4/4/2? Personnel would say the biggest dilemmas will be who plays at RB, who plays up top with Dipo and does Maguire need to start for his experience or do you go with a more physical presence such as McKenzie up against Brownlie and Muirhead.
  19. Yes seeing the nerves is enough to get me nervous for tomorrow and next Friday...
