I like the look of Peter Houston at 5/1

Get the impression he's pissed off, whether it's with the wallopers on there or McCall leaving i'm not sure.

Cameron is supposed to be doing a Q&A on the SRE after the board meeting which was at 4, if it still happens it'll descend into a clusterfuck.

Peter Houston could actually be a very good shout, Sandy Stewart Assistant, Houston very proven at this level with his years at Falkirk when he punched them above their weight in the championship while it had the like of Rangers, Hearts and Hibs in the league. He would be my number 1 candidate.

IMO a club should never agree to that from the manager, yeah he's a good manager but beginning to sound as if he was running more of the show behind the scenes that those in power at the top of the club. Makes it a bit more concerning for the new manager because i don't think anyone will be willing to take as much of a 'hands on' approach as McCall did behind the scenes. Makes sense now why his new contract extension was never made public, would have looked too fishy being a rolling contract.

Also can't believe McCall was on a rolling monthly basis contract, what a mickey mouse institution we really must be behind the scenes still. No wonder he left.

On a more serious note surprised at the amount of people especially on the SRE who are calling McCall a snake, traitor and judas. Personally I felt he'd leave at some point in the near future but just not at this timing. However still grateful for what he's done for this club and I completely agree and understand why he's moved in. Bit like with Shankland I don't think he should be downgraded for his success achieved with our club just because of the next career move he has decided.

Let's put one thing straight i certainly can't see us going out and actually paying for a manager currently at a club, even if we did i don't know who i'd take.

Rumours already he could return to Thistle in January in a player/coach capacity.

If it's Jim Kirkwood Ryan Stevenson will be the next manager.

This all sounds very familar to Falkirk fans last season when McKinnon took over, look where they are now, no certainty McCall will even keep Thistle in the league IMO, would be peak banter if he didn't.

I'd take Owen Coyle and Sandy Stewart, Coyle is proven down south and i believe his Ross County spell was a blip as he entered a shambles. Other possibilty for me would be to give it to Stewart on a permanant for this season, see how it went, we could do a lot worse, plus what is John Henry doing these days, Stewart and Henry could be a good combo. Complete fairytale would be Jack Ross who is seemingly about to get sacked at Sunderland and tbh probably will need to come back to Scotland to resurrect his career. John Hughes been mentioned a lot but has built a reputation with falling out with players and his last spell at this level with Raith Rovers was a disaster. Also Terry Buthcer?
