  1. When I first went in 2009 (for Scotland's 3-0 defeat) I got off the train at Centraal and went to Teasers on Damrak. It's a Hooters type place it was 6 Euros a small beer at a time the exchange rate was 1 pound to 1 Euro.
  2. 2.5%. Sadly my salubrious West End pad shares a postcode with Yoker and the like
  3. Standard 'abroad' advice is to venture away from the 'main tourist areas' but I found that a 10 second walk off the main streets (Damrak, Daamstrat) and the prices were comparable if not cheaper than an Glasgow pub. Also found that stag do Brits abroad #lad #banter types seem incapable of finding such places.
  4. Where were you drinking? The numerous places I've been have ranged between 4.50-5.50 Euros a pint That's pretty my the same price as a pint in a generic Glasgow pub
  5. In. Get it booked for 8pm. Much more sensible time
  6. I challenge anyone to a blind taste test of no water with a drop, literally a pepette drop of water
  7. Agree entirely. A can of Carling shoved in the freezer til near freezing point is acceptable. I genuinely believe the water thing is done by people who read about it and think it must be true. Talisker tasting notes bang on about the flavour being 'briney, salty etc' because the distillery is a rugged coastal location when the casks are stored in the Central belt because they have insufficient storage facilities at the distillery
  8. 40% whisky has already been significantly diluted with water. Adding a drop of water does NOTHING.
  9. 9pm is an absolute nonsense for a game of 5's.
  10. Disabled spaces should be furthest away from the shop. They're in a chair with wheels for goodness sake, those who actually have to walk should be allowed to park closer
  11. A whisky barrel that has been converted into a drinks cabinet.
  12. Presumably loused but I'm still up for it if bodies can be found
  13. Is next week likely to be on? I'm happy to play
  14. No, just hotel. Flights were £500 each from Glasgow with 3 days in Reykjavik en route. Really poor hotels in the areas we wanted in NY were about £800 after tax so decided to spend a bit more and go for luxury
