  1. On a more positive note, record season ticket sales of over 5700. That's a great effort. I really hope we are able to build on this and keep that going. A decent season will hopefully keep most of those numbers for 23/24.
  2. That's only if Eriksson manages to hack immigration computer systems.
  3. Anyone on here buy their ST in the loyalty period? If so did you het your 20% discount voucher with the STs likee previous years? If notnhas anyone heard how it works, as in are we still waiting on them or will we get STs scanned in shop to see what discount we have?
  4. The same wait we had with Niskanen and Eriksson, and Aberdeen have had with their new signing. Usually takes a few weeks. Passport is irrelevant, as we are not in EU, non EU and EU citizens are treated the same. Australians have it easier being a Commonwealth country and if his wife is from here then there shouldn't be too much of an issue.
  5. Not seeing a lot of pish about the strip on this forum, other than the chat you'd expect when a strip is announced. Seen a lot of nonsence on other sites. I don't agree with changes every year, but I am interested in what we will be wearing, and if folk bump gums about marketing etc, its valid comment on the fact we seem to have issues again with Macron which has delayed the strip.
  6. That's true although the 20/21 was a template, just the colour wasn't a macron catalogue colour and last year's pattern and colour wasn't template but the top was a template shape. 19/20 was a totally bespoke design. Strips have been delayed with almost word for word excuse previously. Must be reason why there are rumours we've been speaking to Puma when Macron deal finishes.
  7. Strip to bee unveiled tomorrow morning. Pre-orders only due to a Macon issue in China. Same excuse was used befote with Macron. Is it because we aren't using a template but a bespoke top?
  8. Heard, after the fanfare of the new badge and removal of clumsy negatice space, the new strip will have the diagonal "DUFC" instead of a badge.
  9. He'll have my support, as anyone pulling on the tangerine will,. I just question the signing as being necessary and an upgrade on what is currently available in the squad. Hopefully he proves me wrong.
  10. Disgree he's shite. Looks a lot better when played as a winger that can exploit space, rather than a left back.
  11. Don't see why. Just seems the same crap that was said about Niskanen while we waited for his work permit. The amount of times I read from those supposedly ITK,.but lets.face know diddly squat, that he couldn't kick his own arse was unbelievable.
  12. Watson is supposed to be a winger, but the few times we've seen him its been to use his pace up front, ie the COViD hit game at Ibrox where he did well. Hopefully get to see more of him this season.
  13. Thing is I've heard the exact opposite. So no idea what the story is.
  14. He wasn't consistent, you'd see flashes of good play & then followed by periods of meh. How much of that was him getting more upto speed after his health issues, or struggling with the pace of the game now?
  15. Not sure it is as big a mystery as its being put out. So many people seem to think its another Walter Rojas situation because he didn't appear last year. We had a No.1 let him get used to the area/club and settle in ready for replacing Benji. His stats are better than Siegrist & Clark, although its stats and we all know stats aren't everything, and its Swedish top league to Scottish top league. But I'm fairly OK with thhat aslong as we get a decent Carson replacement. The uncreative side of things is a worry, but we did see enough last season that if we break at pace and stretch the oposition wee looked so much better. The midfield struggled to open up a defense that was given all the time in the world to get back in numbers cloose off space. I agree someone that can use the right hand side as we can become predictable in going left so often. Could Freman be a good shout to be moved forward?
  16. This is my thoughts too. The only positions we are REALLY short in is a 2nd keeper and defensive midfielder. As @ArabianKnightmentions a whole lost of folk that can play LB if needed its.not really a prority and makes no sense, unless Garuccio is a better player than McMann but surely a 2nd keeper and defensive midfielder would make us a better team than another LB. Of the often mentioned 18 players who left who were actually 1st teamers requiring replacement? Siegrist - although it caan be argued that Eriksson is his replacement and we need to replace Carson Neison - didn't.play many games for whatever reason. Still have 3 CHs so depending on formation its a maybe, unless one of the youth are looking OK as a backup. McNulty - Fletcher in for him. Biamou - only appepared on the pitch so we knew what he looked like. Doesn't need to be replaced as he didn't contribute, although could be argued Flletcher isnhis replacement and we need a trickierplayer in to replace McNulty as Watt isn't the "in the box striker" we need to out pressure on Clark. Sporle - gave cover for LB and Left mid, but we have Niskanen, or McMann who can play there or Kai Fothheringham who will need more game time too. McDonald - although he was only here 6 months with the Butcher situation this is a must. We've had rumours of Gogic but we need someone here. Should be a priority along with a Carson replacement. Midfield is where we are strongest in numbers, with Glass, Mochrie, Meekison, Harkes,Levitt, Chalmer, Pawlett, Cudjoe and the young lad who made is debut towards the end of the season whose name I forrget. Thats where I suprised at some of Ross' comments. Its not numbers, its quality we need.
  17. For me top 6. Bottom 6 would be a failure. Eriksson's stats, all be it from the Swedish top league, were better than Siegrist's, better than Zander Clark's so I'm not seeing a big drop there. We've upgraded McNulty with Fletcher to allow us someone who can hold the ball up to bring Watt, Clark and the midfield into play amd has an aerial presence. McGrath is still a target, no matter what happens with Sibbald and we still to bring in someone to compete with Eriksson. I think the basics of a decent team was there, just think if Ross allows them to play with more pace, stops the team trying to walk the ball into the net amd plays players in their proper position ( Niskanen on wing not left back) it should bring some improvement. Will that be enough to stay 4th or compete for 3rd this year we'll have to wait and see. My big concern is if a bid comes in for Edwards would we be able to bring in a comparable CH in time.
  18. If he was a stand out then I'd be for it, but for me he isn't. He was a good young player, but as you say it blocks (potentially) a young player from the 1st team. We have young players who from what I've seen could be every bit as good as Sibbald if not better if given games. Also willing to eat humble pie if it does go through, he is over his issues & won't tire like Erskine, and he works well in the team.
  19. It is us, it allows us to get a player, we shouldn't be able to afford, at the lowest possible fee. But due to how it has been constructed Man U get a fee and (potential) sell on fee that gives them what they feel they are warranted.
  20. Heard that as well. If that is the case, then they are trying to avoid a tribunal which suggests they are not 100% confident of their original position. Take them to the tribunal receive the money and invest in a player we actually need and want.
  21. Not necessarily. I have heard it was only £100,000, 25% sell on fee and a % of (any) world cup fee. Either way we do have to be careful of the fees, the money coming in has to cover the losses as well, which are.coming down. I just think I don't see anyone other than the obvious paying £500k. The last time we all did it oushed the prices up of all players and led to many of the issues we've all struggled with iver the last 20 years. IMHO of course.
  22. Even with the transfer fees received by the likes of Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts cut of Hickey deal I can't see anyone in Scotland outside the big two paying that size of fee for anyone. I think clubs up here have all been burnt before to different levels financially to start spending that amount one just one player.
