  1. 2015/16 P 16 W 11 D 4 L 1 GF 25 GA 13 P 37/ 48 11 points dropped at home. P 18 W 10 D 1 L 7 GF 30 GA 26 P 31/ 54 23 points dropped away. Worst results are against Inverness 1/9pts, St Johnstone 4/12pts Motherwell 4/9*pts. Best results are against Dundee, Kilmarnock, Dundee Utd, all 9/9pts. Results against Celtic 6/9pts*, Hearts 6/9pts*. * one game still to play We were knocked out of both cups in Away ties. Friday night football has not suited us. 3 Away losses and 1 Home win from the 4 games. DM has correctly identified where our weaknesses are and will address these as best he can in the summer. 7 to 9 points from the last 4 games is a likely return, unless he plays youngsters once 2nd spot is secured. I was really disappointed by the manner of defeat last night, as all Dons fans will be. However, looking at the season as a whole, is anyone seriously unhappy with the team's performance this term?
  2. Terry Taylor, who's parents are from Banff and went to School with my Wife ( and Eoin Jess ) made his debut for the under 20's tonight coming on as a sub against Killie. He's 14. Must be some prospect.
  3. Danny Rogers might be the answer we are all looking for. I don't think Brown is a bad keeper, as someone said earlier, he gets a hard time for not being Danny Ward. He has got a few mistakes in him for sure and he's not great coming off his line, either for crosses or through balls. In my opinion we need a better Keeper than Brown, whose contract is up in the Summer. Should DM let him go and sign another goalie to compete with Rogers for the number 1 jersey?
  4. BBC live reporting praising him up. Big save on 82 mins.
  5. Well, if that does happen, at least we won't be subjected to that "Guard of Honour" shite this season.
  6. If we are to be a better team next term than we have been this season, Shinnie needs to be playing Left Back and Consodine a squad player. Flood is a great lad to have in the squad, but he's injury prone, which will worsen with age. Reynolds and Jack need to find their previous form or be replaced and used as squad cover. TBC Logan Taylor TBC Shinnie Storie TBC McGinn McLean Hayes Rooney Bench: Rogers, Consodine, Reynolds, Jack, Flood, Pawlett, (Smith, Wright Shankland ?) Get the three correct TBCs in there and that's a squad with quality cover and competition for places, even more so if we can keep Church.
  7. I watched it downloaded from Amazon. That was last year though, so it might be on Netflix now though.
  8. Not a clue, but it'll need to be a real heavyweight to compete with Sam Neill's performance. He was about as menacing a character in terms of an authority figure gone balls out mental as I have seen. I think the box set era of crossover movie/TV stars has produced unmatched viewing, and Peaky Blinders is right up there,
  9. Third series of "Peaky Blinders" is coming soon. Top quality television, can't praise the first two highly enough, hope they maintain the standards.
  10. McKenna is only 6.2' going by football stats site. He looked much taller than that. He has signed a new deal along with Rogers, so DM must see something in him.
  11. Does anyone know if McKenna is close to first team level? He got a few minutes at the end of the St Johnstone away game, all I can say about him is he's fucking huge. Taller than Taylor.
  12. I feel Taylor is as good a CD as we could attract to the club. He is pretty commanding in the air both in defence and attack. Positionally he is good too. It's his decision making that lets him down and at times has led to mistakes that have cost goals. Combined with Reynolds experience and pace, they should make a very good pairing. This season though, Reynolds has looked a shadow of his former self, other than the second home game against Celtic when I thought he was excellent. He just looks really short on confidence. There was no replacement brought in for Quinn ( who I thought was not quite good enough for us ). I hope we get another central defender in the summer good enough to play in the first 11.
  13. Thing I like about Church is his chance conversion rate is much higher than Rooney. Although I agree Rooney is a far better footballer. I think they could play together and that would put pressure on McGinn and McLeans starting positions, and give the option of a genuine 4-4-2 or 3-5-2. After the display of finishing from McGinn last night, I am in no rush to see him play up front, to be honest.
  14. I think the battling CM spot is Storie. He looks good and will improve as he plays more. I think we need a creative playmaker who can dictate play from deep. Greg Tansey. For Sure a new starting Centre Half, who can play RB would improve the defence and give us cover. Need Logan to stay. Not a chance of replacing him with anyone as good. Winger, Amoo is a free agent in the Summer, he's looked very good anytime I have seen him. Could be an impact sub and with the versatility of Hayes, cover for several positions. Striker, Church has one year left on his MK Dons contract. He is obviously not fancied down there. It's possible we could get him for next season. Goodwillie salary will be freed up, no idea how much that would be though.
  15. What's the story with Rogers? Is he going to be first choice next term? He's had a couple of good performances in high profile games, is he up to being our No1? Is there any hope of getting Ward back? I don't think he's got a game for Liverpool firsts since he returned to Liverpool. I can't help thinking what might have been if we had kept hold of him and got Tansey in January.
  16. It was good to see he could emulate his excellent domestic "pointing at folk" form on the international stage. Strachan did give him a decent run out though, he got about an hour.
  17. I see we have 65 points from 31 games, exactly matching last season at this stage. Celtic 3 points worse off after 30 games. The poor form in last term's run in left us a total of 75 to Celtics 92. I think the most we will end up with is 80. Would that be progress? I suppose it would be and DM will certainly think so. The race is still running though and better teams than this Celtic side have thrown away away bigger leads in the past. Just have to hope for the best now. On the Red TV post match interviews DM, Jack and Shinnie all sounded devastated. I hope the break gives them a chance to regroup and push for as strong a run in as possible.
  18. Fucking gutted about how today has gone. I am usually pretty much a Happy Clapper type of supporter but this one is going to bruise.
  19. We will need new words made up to adequately describe the hitherto unseen levels of drunken exuberance. "Pished, min" will not suffice.
