I’ve read the first book in series A man with one of those faces a while back as it was available free on Amazon good reads or something like that. I really enjoyed the humour and wit, recently got book 2 on the kindle will get to it at some point.

I’ve recently finished Slow Horses and Dead Lions, books 1 and 2 from the Slough House series by Mick Herron. Enjoyed both and just started the third one Real Tigers. The TV adaption is worth a watch as well. Worth watching for Gary Oldman alone.

Working my way through the Mitch rapp - American assassin series by Vince Flynn Film was a bit dodgy but books are a good read.

Edge of the grave by Robbie Morrison Tartan noir in 30s Glasgow. Dark in places and very funny in places to break it up. Interesting to read about the industrialists financing promising athletes. Enjoyed this book and looking forward to the second effort.

Yes this happened, I enjoyed the deadwood movie. I don’t think season 3 was intended to be the end but the lead pair moved onto movies and they couldn’t get cast together again.

I know this would belong on c**** on a tram page but this will have to do. Visiting Edinburgh last week and took the tram from the Gyle into princes street for a trail about with the weans. The conductors were a treat to watch. Fair dodgers lobbed off at the next stop. Family of women including a right auld woman lobbed off for no having a ticket. Plus a few fancy evening drinkers taking the tram the few stops to princes street and lobbed off after 1 stop to get a ticket. Merciless.

I had read The Force of his before I started the trilogy, I enjoyed it as well. Planning to look out for his other ones. I have Stuart macbrides new one and the rankin/mcilvaney one on the list next.

I enjoyed the Mexico stories but I’m surprised there doing another one. I thought the story had ended. Preferred the first 2 with Escobar.

The Cartel by Don Winslow 2nd part of a trilogy. The first book (The power of the dog) was excellent and the Cartel has been good but not as good. The border is the final part and next on the list. Anyone who liked the Narcos tv series would enjoy them and note a lot of similarities.

Going by the Nithsdale twitter account they don’t seem to be struggling. Looks like majority of last seasons squad retained with 4/5 new faces added in. Abbey vale and threave also been busy going by the twitter accounts.

I listened to Frankie Boyles Prometheus and really enjoyed it. Particularly the digs at the government and the Royal Navy rescuing wind surfers. Anybody recommend any good comedy pods?
