  1. Christ, you will be shiting it for the champions league draw
  2. I cant remember exactly when, but I've got memories of an away game vs Greece where he was just absolutely ridiculously good. I think Craig Gordon was a brilliant keeper, but Goram is the best Scotland keeper I can remember.
  3. Good info, thats an interesting move. Should get some decent idea of what level he's at. Part of would have rather he had went to maybe a bundesliga 2 side tho.
  4. A mate of mine who was a centre back for Hamilton told me when they were playing motherwell when brown was manager. He was over taking a throw in near the dugout and Craig was out at the edge of his area as they were bringing on a sub. Craig shouts to my mate regarding the sub "I think his pace will give you trouble big man" my mate reply quite sharply to the elderly Craig Brown "I think your pace would give me trouble" And Craig Brown laughs his head off Always seemed like a good guy.
  5. I like to think I actually look alot younger than 42
  6. Yeah Fletcher is one, he would take McTominays position. Brown, not for me. Always got the run around when against decent opposition. McAllister, dont get me started Craig Browns love child, never played anything like he did at club level. Lambert would be in our squad for sure. Even having these types of discussions shows how fortunate we are at the moment tbh.
  7. The John Collins when he was Monaco was a top class operator. Its all about opinions, id say he could swap in for any of them. Easily McGregor. Gilmour could and probably will be better in future, but right now Collins would be a guy he would be learning from. I'd agree Mccoist would maybe struggle in our one striker system.
  8. Yeah its a very good point, we have better players and strength in depth than we've had in a long time. Im 40ish as well and its a far better situation than I can remember. You always try and be positive, but then a look back at some of the teams we put out in finals and there was some stinkers in there. And you think in hindsight "why was I so positive about that" For who would/could swap in and improve. Without thinking about it too hard as the previous poster said, Hendry at centre back would be a shoe in. He was the main centre back for one of the best teams in England at the time. Gough easily would be in there too. Thats probably the easiest position to swap. Goram or Leighton in goals as well no question. Collins would get into the midfield ahead of any of them at the moment. Mccoist or Mo Johnston up front?
  9. Possibly back 4 with Robertson left wing hence no Christie? Hes done it before
  10. Alrighty then I dont believe everyone can believe their being objective. There was a guy on here a while ago who all he would say was "I agree with all Steve Clarkes decisions, because he's a football manager" Thats not objective, or even worthwhile posting
  11. I wasn't talking about you I think your posts are always rational and reasonable. Wether we agree or disagree.
  12. More likely its just the opposite of what everyone else buys, to be objective
  13. Agreed, being objective on here is mainly met with hostility. We weren't the better team over the course of the game and did ride our luck a bit. But also defended very well also, and took our chances. Theres positives and negatives in there for the management to assess for sure.
  14. I live to serve the nation. It is noticeable how were able to shift tactics more effectively now. I thought he was right to start with the back 3 and right to switch it up to the 4 when he did. Im hoping/expecting he plays the back 4 for Georgia, im sure tho we can slog out a victory with a back 3.
  15. Yeah I think this is just the start for him again, its easy to forget how young he actually is. Think next season with mcallister away and maybe caciedo could be a massive one for him. I wouldn't be surprised by the end of next season hes being courted by bigger clubs.
  16. Well hitting a defender is a different thing entirely, if you hit the inside of the post from an appropriate angle its always going to go in. Alot of off target goals being scored.
  17. So if a shot clips in off the post it wasn't on target
  18. I know what your saying, but for their superior possession they haven't created much in terms of chances. Their going to have to open up more as the game goes on, and were set up to take advantage of that.
  19. Excellent from Robertson there. Id like to see nesbit on in the 2nd half, these 2 centre backs look absolutely hopless, bit of pace needed to exploit that tho. Which isn't dykes game.
  20. To be fair, its a lovely Norway strip
  21. Funny, im also thinking 1-1 which would be bloody brilliant
  22. Depends on your outlook and what you imagine are the intentions of other posters. Id say 95% are just wanting to discuss football rather than have some agenda.
  23. Aye in the first half only tho, and his service has improved enormously. The way he confidentially sauces the pies is a sight to behold.
  24. Was it not you who confidently predicted we would beat Spain?? I might be wrong If so what are you saying for todays score?
