  1. Indeed, I chose to ignore your childish comment. So when you say "He'll be a starter for us until he calls it quits". You don't mean that he'll be a starter for us until he calls it quits then?
  2. McGregor is a good player for us and has been for a while. Some of these opinions tho you would think he was a multiple world player of the year If others are doing well in better leagues then we should give them the chance. Its not about loyalty, playing for Scotland is an honour. Its about putting the best team we can on the pitch. I'd say McGregor might be under threat as a starter in the near future.
  3. Not sure, dont think its either tbh. Hes got a point tho, the over rating of players on here is ridiculous. Mcgregor of celtic (note not real madrid), is apparently so good he can play into his 40s at his discretion And is so irreplaceable its crazy to even discuss it. Thats McGregor..... of celtic. Its nearly as bad as the dykes opinions.
  4. No I don't think he is, but I think gilmour certainly is. Or McTominay or mcginn could also play the McGregor role opening up that slot for Ferguson. You can't really compare the Scotland form against players not getting selected. So you have to take a step back and think every once in a while. Who is the players who should be playing? For me I think after the euros McGregor might not start as often as he has been. Every good team is always looking for ways to improve. Weve got a cracking midfield and plenty of options, its not surprising there's plenty of opinions.
  5. Cmon now that just ridiculous, you think McGregor should just keep playing into his late 30s regardless of what any other player does? There needs to be a bit of common sense on here. And less defensive reactions. Suggesting players to replace others doesn't mean anyone hates players or doesn't rate them. Personally I think McGregors days of being a nailed on starter for Scotland should be under threat. Not that he's doing anything wrong. Just that others (ferguson, gilmour) are younger and doing it at a higher level.
  6. Thats down to lack of credible opposition, rather than being a good international striker.
  7. Pretty much it exactly, hes not very good. At international level he's done well at times. Nothing against the guy, he gives everything he has for Scotland. But hes just not got the ability needed for an international striker. He will be in the squad, but thats where we need players coming thru just now.
  8. Either may we'll have, if I were him I would have chosen Copenhagen. I've spent a bit of time there over the years and always enjoyed it. Reckon it would be a great place to live. If he can get in the team then its a great move for him and us.
  9. Im not sure whether he's going to have a career ruined by injury or not. But all I can say is I was blown away by how talented he was when he was at Aberdeen. Hopefully he can overcome the injuries and we could have a hell of a player on our hands.
  10. I would disagree but I see what your saying, I agree hes more of a slow burn than the likes of Tierney. But id say he could have made that move any time over the last 5 years. And I think he would be a better player for it. Also the argument that his midfield competition all play at a higher level wouldn't be a factor.
  11. Tbf I know what you mean, when it works out for Scottish players abroad they generally seem to improve at a rate above when they go to England. The most startling example I can think of is Craig Brewster, who somehow came back from a couple of years in Greece with technical skills, movement and awareness you would never have imagined possible.
  12. Yeah its not easy, we've a great midfield. But thats how I see we improve it.
  13. For me the answer to that is clearly McGregor, I've nothing against McGregor before people go nuts. But you have gilmour there ready to take over that deeper role. McGregor for me is a guy that could have achieved alot more in terms of making the most of himself had he went abroad or down south to test himself at a higher level.
  14. Think this guy deserves his own thread. Ill be honest i didn't think he would do as well as he has done in Italy. He's a player on the up getting touted for juventus and lazio now. Hes exceeded expectations and continues to get better. Is it time for him to be in our starting 11? I'd say probably he deserves that chance. I dont think it will happen now for the euros, but next campaign I would think he will be first choice.
  15. Surprised you never enquired if it would affect your future speed, acceleration or movement
  16. Anybody with medical knowledge give us an idea of what this means for him? I know that's on the knee so doesn't sound particularly good. Could this affect his future speed, acceleration or movement?
  17. Great to see him thriving now, honestly think this is just the start for him. Hopefully he will start stroking a few in the net and building up that confidence.
  18. I agree tbh, I wasn't blaming anyone. Its just an accumulation of circumstances, but we chose to play England and France.
  19. Yeah its a feeling, so its hard to quantify. The only real yard stick on how the players would feel is its probably relatable to how the fans feel
  20. The performances haven't been terrible recently. But momentum and confidence is a big thing in sports, I feel we've lost a bit of that. I dont think the France or England games have helped us tbh, probably the opposite. Would have been great to end the campaign with a couple of wins to build that back up. A couple of friendlys against teams we should be beating and doing that I think is definitely what we need to get that belief back before the tournament.
  21. Yeah tbh this post has changed my mind, I say we just go for it full biffter. Probably we would pick up more tv rights as well all the Caribbean nations tuning in.
  22. In fairness you said "Everyone in the Faroes national side is Faroese born" Also a couple of pages ago you were finished talking about it. As someone who has made this mistake a few times just use the ignore function and let it go.
