  1. that's not even close to what he said. The penalty is given because there's a push in the back AND contact between their legs
  2. Yeah, Calum Carson has openly said Livi's chances of surviving relegation could very much hinge on keeping Devlin fit for more games than he misses. The flip side of that being, we're never going to be able to attract a player of Devlin's quality if he's not "damaged goods" On Stephen Kelly, he's undoubtedly he's one of our most talented players but he's failed to impress anytime he's had a chance this season. Seems too lightweight at times and goes missing in games. If you could roll Pittman and Kelly into one player we'd have a world beater but each is good at what the other lacks. Kelly is fantastic with the ball at his feet and time to orchestrate the play whereas Pittman is better playing at breakneck speed
  3. we were very powderpuff in defence last season and the move to a back 3 (how we lined up in our first few years since promotion) was to take us back to a more solid side.
  4. Nouble gets very few decisions in his favour, no surprise he didn't think he would get it. Martindale's "fortunate" quote wasn't in relation to the penalty being soft but in the respect that we were fortunate we were offered a way back into the game by Gordon's poor defending. "We tweaked a couple of bits and bobs at halftime and get a wee bit fortunate in terms of how we got the entry into the box for the penalty. Joel sees the space and does really well so we get a wee bit fortunate in how we got back into the game.
  5. I'm led to believe Devlin's current injury is completely unrelated to any previous injury and one that could happen to any player. It's reassuring to hear it's not a flare up of his previous issues but he's still a massive miss
  6. Montano's ability in the air makes him a much better outball for Shamal to aim for than Penrice. Nouble has to drop deeper to give us the physicality in Montano's absence so hopefully when he's back we can start to see the best of Nouble again. On his potential return, if 6 weeks is accurate he should be back soon as he last played against Ayr
  7. Surprised VAR hasn't called the ref's attention to a penalty for Brentford there....the attacker nicks the ball off the keeper and gets a kick in the back of the leg for his trouble
  8. The fact the Sportscene "experts" agree with him probably highlights their lack of interest in any game not involving the OF more than anything.
  9. After seeing the video posted of the VAR angles, I retract my "red was harsh" statement....he definitely catches Nouble with his studs and the big guy is lucky he's not on the end of a bad injury.
  10. For the penalty, Gordon's hand is on Nouble's back but there also appears to be contact between their legs which knocks Nouble's stride off. Coupled with the push in the back it's a penalty all day long. The red card is harsh as the only contact seems to be from his trailing foot which isn't high or dangerous.
  11. He's our highest rated performer in this game on Sofa Score
  12. At one point he took the ball in on the flank, turned his man, bodied tavernier and then, just when he was resembling the Nouble from the first half of last season, he failed to pick out 1 of the 3 unmarked Livi players in the box, instead firing it off the rangers player nearest him...the guy doesn't look interested and is just as much use as Guthrie was last season
  13. Another booking for a Livi player with zero contact...I would say unbelievable but it's totally believable with these hopeless referees
  14. That could be a red there for sima...catching De Lucas as high...but he plays for the home team at ibrox
  15. That c**t yilmaz is needing a proper skelp to the face
  16. Collum off to a flyer missing that push.... disgraceful
  17. They didn't at the weekend. All the talk was about plucky Celtic having to endure that "dangerous" plastic pitch
  18. As Livi fans we're always going to be wary of new owners but the fact that John Ward and Dave Black are remaining in their current roles is a massive deal. That fact alone gives me more confidence in this news. Press conference tomorrow that's meant to be about the rangers game according to Mr Carson. Can imagine that'll be hijacked with a more interesting topic
  19. I'm sure he's now a Celtic fan after laying down against them
  20. It's a bad day when even Sutton thinks the Celtic player is at it
  21. Beaton throwing cards about anytime Livi players cough in a feeble attempt to even up the red card
