Hoping Carson isn't missing out through injury. Looks like the same set up as the Killie game but with Nouble on the left and Mackay on the right. I'd imagine Pittman will drop into the role Carson played with Kelly taking the more advanced role

I agree, I thought he thought he looked really good. Tidy use of the ball under pressure.
Nottingham had some nice touches attacking wide on the right, too! Couldn’t believe it!
Nottingham looked far more comfortable in the wider role and got forward well too. His height and strength replicated what Martindale tried with Bartley in the cup final. I'd imagine once Penrice is fit we'll see Brandon move back to the RB role and Donnellan continue in the CB role. Nottingham is a great option as backup to both these positions but we currently have better players

I get the impression Stephen Kelly isn't the type of player a team needs in a relegation fight. The signing of Carson and his performance alongside Holt yesterday makes more sense for our need to battle. Kelly is a fantastic player on his day but too often he seems to drift through games and lack the steel we need.

Do folk think Obileye was most culpable for the goal? I should really wait until I see it again on Sportscene but he seemed to neither mark van Veen nor block off van Veen's header back into the six yard box.
Yeah, he's caught under the ball

I daresay if Guthrie or Nouble were fit then Anderson doesn't see any game time tonight.

He made subs that negatively impacted our attack? Fair to say he has to take some blame for that.
Shinnie had more of an impact than Bradley who's final ball was woeful today. MacKay and Yengi were out on their feet after both of them put in a shift. I don't know what else you expect him to do

I look forward to hearing how that was Martindale's fault from the Facebook loyal

Anderson on for Yengi has totally blunted our attack

Pity. For me Shinnie detracts from our mobility in midfield.
Think the change makes sense...Bradley isn't the quickest either and his final ball has been rotten today. Shinnie has a better range of passing on him and hopefully his game intelligence can push us towards a positive result. MacKay going off is a strange one as his pace can create chances by itself

Feeling like the Hearts game, where we've been the better team and had a goal ruled offside.
Could do with bringing Anderson on, i know his form hasn't been great but we're creating chances for him to get in on goal, odds are he'll score if we keep setting them up for him.
The only way I would bring Anderson on right now would be for Pittman ..Yengi is causing them plenty of issues and Anderson running from deep could be very dangerous. Not that Pittman hasn't done well, he just lacks that killer instinct at times

That offside must be bawhair territory

I'd be inclined to say
Shamal
Donnellan Nottingham Ayo Brandon
Carson Holt
MacKay Pittman Bradley
Yengi
Switch MacKay and Bradley and it looks like this is how we've set up

Yes, not just because the football on his pitch, but his interviews should be a sackable offence alone. Any goal we concede is our players not sticking to the “game plan”.
In fairness, I'd imagine a big part of the gameplan would be...."Don't concede"

We had Paul Dalglish back around 2005/06

How the f**k was that first goal not disallowed?
Ryan Jack didn't even celebrate, he ran straight to the ref to ask if it would stand...when even they don't expect the level of help they get, it's unreal

VAR have decided the foul doesn't stand because the team that commited it come fae govan

That's Carson officially here. Seen him described as a 'Gives 100% every game, but not technically gifted' footballer, which might be exactly what we need
A slightly younger Scott Pittman?

Surely the way games v each other etc go there are teams already unable to win the league?
Don't argue with the algorithm

Can we add Klopp to the list please? Looks like he’d enjoy living somewhere with a beach.
As much as I can see the "Once a red, always a red" nonsense....I think Aberdeen are more likely to appoint Jurgen's brother Klip
