  1. Notts County as my Uncle moved down that way when I was a boy and began following them so he'd keep telling me about them when we saw each other. I have a tendancy to look out for The Rangers* scores as the guy I work with and a few mates are supporters...always fun to have the ammo when they get beat. I also look for Airdrie results as another of my mates is a fan and we used to go to a few games

I saw this on Twitter regarding speculation in Germany regarding how they deal with a shut down:

In a Scottish context, I'm massively in favour of option 4 :)

I suppose the ideal situation would be option 2 with the proviso that if we get to a certain date and coronavirus is still as big an issue (or worse) then we revert to either option 1 or 3. This would all depend on the Euros right enough. Option 4 would cause the banter years thread to go into meltdown so could be hilarious.

For me, choosing between option 1 and 3 is a case of choosing which would be funnier...Hearts getting relegated or Dundee United not getting promoted...it's a toughy

New deal for McMillan, he's earned it lately. Wasn't keen on him but in this new year he's definitely got a lot better

Good bit of business...he's never disappointed when hes had a chance and his ability to play anywhere across the back is such a bonus. Hopefully having guys like Efe around to learn from will help Jack improve even more.

Think that was down to Dykes being fucked and not giving us an out ball for the last 10 mins of the game, really should've had Souda on earlier, to at least give us someone with the energy to chase after tha ball, and maybe keep it up the pitch for a bit. Imo that's what Dolly does best for us, runs like a goodun after the ball and has the strength to body defenders, was surprised he wasn't on the bench, reckon we'd have seen out the game if he'd been an option to replace a knackered Dykes.

I'd heard Dolly hurriedly left the stadium in a taxi earlier in the evening. Hope everything is ok with the big man

  5. That fucking fire alarm [emoji38]
I’m going to drive down to Livingston and turn that fucking alarm off myself
Couldn't hear any alarm at the game and I sit directly below the main camera
Amazed it hasn't happened already tbf. He'd have gone to Killie if they'd asked.
Don't think he would...always spoke of the slagging his boy gets when Livi play Killie...imagine being the Killie manager and having poor results

Hopefully the midweek European game, along with the Cup game yesterday, will have taken a lot out of the Celtic players. Forrest and Ajer are injury doubts. No doubt our pitch will be in their heads too.

If we can keep it to 0-0 at HT then I think we could have a decent chance of nicking it 2nd half, with our players being a lot fresher after the 10 days between games. Dolly would be a great sub to bring on if we're under pressure and trying to hold onto a goal lead too, fantastic out ball with his pace and physicality. Could even get us a goal on the counter, he loves turning it on in big games, in front of large away crowds (Sevco & Hearts last season).

The games on the TV too...he does love a goal in front of the cameras

Exactly why I can't see past an ('pasta'?) away win.

    McCrorie

    McMillan  -  Guthrie -  Ambrose/Brown  -  ATS

    Bartley  -  Sibbald

    Lawless  -  Pittman  -  Robinson

    Dykes

It'd be a tough decision to drop Brown with the partnership hes forged with Guthrie...can see us sticking with the back 3 though giving us a man to match up against Griffiths and Edouard plus a free defender to mop up the midfield runners. Perhaps going for something like:

    McCrorie

    Efe - Brown - Guthrie

    McMillan - Bartley - Sibbald - ATS

    Lawless - Pittman

    Dykes

Pittman, ATS and McMillan dropping back one place when defending making it more of a 5-3-1-1

Might be a hottake but I think Bartley is a breath of fresh air in punditry, was hilarious on AVFTT. Brings a different perspective on punditry, and isn't an ex-Celtic or Rangers player.

I enjoy seeing Marv on tv doing punditry...funny seeing him being so mild mannered and well spoken to then watch him batter through players and pull all the wee "tricks" to wind up opponents and being a general nuisance for other teams when on the pitch.

I've been getting warnings from it for a while, tbh, always throw it against the wall when I get beat. My own fault.

    FTFY...

    Using my own experience

  10. I see Ambrose is actually classed as a defensive midfielder who can also play as a CB or FB.
That seems to fit with the current ethos of the club in having players that are adaptable to multiple positions - about the only players that haven't been asked to play in different positions have been Dykes and the goalkeepers.
I noticed against St Mirren Dykes played on the wing for a spell allowing dolly to go central.
  11. Actually the 2011 census had the population of Livingston as 56,269. The figure quoted will presumably include all settlements where Livingston FC is the nearest club. Therefore I expect it to include the Calders; Bathgate; Broxburn etc. but not Linlithgow (Falkirk nearest); Newbridge (Hearts nearest) or Shotts (Motherwell nearest?).
South-wise is a bit of a mystery though; in some ways we're almost clear to the boarders....
Livingston is closer to Shotts but barely....I'm in Carstairs and Livi and Motherwell are equal distance (give or take a mile or 2)
