  1. McCrorie is an outstanding keeper. For me he's been the best keeper in the Championship for two seasons running (and he only spent half a season of each down there). If he wasn't at the same club as Alan McGregor he'd be playing 1st team pretty much anywhere else in the Premiership (including Celtic right at this second as I'd take him over Bain every day of every week). It will be interesting to see if he goes back out on loan again and if so, where. I think they'll look to send him to England if they can find a club they think he'll play at but another season on loan in the Scottish Premiership isn't impossible while he waits for McGregor to move aside. Will Livi go for him again?
I wonder if he'd still be hanging around Rangers if he wasn't a fan growing up. They've just signed Jon McLaughlin too who'll be ahead of him in the pecking order

Not really sure there is much in that video to suggest he’s premiership quality.

People did say the same about Dykes....in fact a lot of people said it about our entire team when we were promoted. He's got an eye for goal but these videos don't really show you his full game, glad Gary is having a closer look at him at the club before making a move.

  3. Menga is explosive and causes disruptions in oppositions defences, also provides an out ball with his pace and strength, but he's not composed on the ball and has a tendency to just run and run into a blind alley and try to battle his way out of it, instead of looking up and passing it to someone.

Basically has his uses, but a dependable winger isn't one of them.
The coaching team did a fair bit of work on Dykes' composure and Souda's defensive attributes with both improving vastly. If we can do the same work on Menga in his natural wide position we could be looking at a beast of a player...as it stands he's a nuisance for opposition defences but we have better creative options.

The writer of So Macho by Sinitta which was a massive hit in gay clubs Owen Hargeaves is the founder of the Christian Party which has anti-LGBT policies. Royalties from the song funded the party's 2004 electoral campaign.

Owen Hargreaves is a talented man but I'm sure it was George Hargreaves that wrote the song.

Wasn't Mike Mampuya absolutely rapid, despite not being very good at anything else? Or was it just because he was that short that his legs moving so quick was deceiving?

Suppose you could also argue Moses Duckrell and Jack Stobbs were rapid too. Nicky has been the best at using his pace though

Don't think I agree with any one of those! Opinions, eh?

    Left Foot: David Fernandez
    Right Foot: Barry Wilson
    Finishing: Leigh Griffiths
    Passing: Tomas Pesir
Speed: James McPake (I know he wasn't particularly rapid, but I've never seen a CB with the pace to get himself out of issues like he did)
    Dribbling: Iain Russell
    Heading: Marvin Andrews
    Tackling: Oscar Rubio

I toyed with Marv for heading and Rubio for tackling but as much as Marv was fantastic at defensive heading I felt the doctor was more accurate with his heading and felt Dorado had a bit of class about his play. You're suggestions are all very valid...the McPake one is interesting as I didn't think he was a very quick striker at the start of his career but certainly looked quick as a CB

  7. Left foot: Burton O'Brien

Right foot: Hassan Kachloul if only for THAT free kick against Dunfermline

    Finishing: Robbie Winters

    Passing: Lee Makel

    Speed: Nicky Devlin

Dribbling: Steve Lawson although David Fernandez was a close second for me...I just think Lawson has more style while doing it

    Heading: Kenny Deuchar

    Tackling: Emanuel Dorado

Permanent would surprise me with how highly they seem to rate McCrorie.

Wonder if we'd look to use any cash (if we sell him) to try and join the race for Kevin Nisbet.

I'm not sure I rate McCrorie yet but that's still a very good cash deal if we can get it. I find it highly unlikely though as all the chat seems to be that McCrorie is being trained up to replace McGregor.

I'm still hoping for Cardiff to offer £1.5M plus Ciaron Brown and a tasty sell on clause

  9. The Rainjurz chatter i've heard is £1.75 millions plus Robbie McCrorie although not sure if that's on loan or permanent. Can't tell if I like that or not...it'd be a decent wedge to get for a player who's only played one season at this level but I'd hate to see him ruin his career at them like the other promising players such as Jake Hastie, Brandon Barker, Jordan Jones etc

  10. Hamilton aren't selling season tickets though. Number of people that can watch via the Livi site is capped at Livi's season ticket holders for last season so about 1250 passes maximum available.

They said they wont be doing any passes outside season tickets so the only way to see the games is to buy a season ticket. It's a pretty shite deal though, I would buy it but we've already got 1 ST in the house, so to buy another one just for another pass isn't something I can personally afford.

Was hoping the club would do something for fans in this position and offer an 'in stadia' season ticket but apparently not. I'll probably just PATG and get a half ST at Christmas time
My understanding is that the cap is only for games that sky are showing...I could be wrong but I haven't seen anything confirming it

We might need one in for cover at FB but all of those options are cracking players.

Ideally in this order I can see us strengthening: GK, Winger, CB. Even at that Menga and Tiffoney can play on the wing. Maybe a CM?

Also was Lawson not a LB? Not sure he played on the right for us but again he's another that can play CM. We've got a good few utility players which for circumstances like this will put us in a good spot

Think Lawson has played midfield for us most often...hes a right back for Togo and can't remember him playing at left back. He seems our most versatile player and I would love to see him play as a right winger with Forrest on the left. That would give us some serious pace on the wings.

    Stewart

    Devlin Ambrose Guthrie Taylor-Sinclair

    Bartley Sibbald

    Lawson Pittman Forrest

    Dykes

That would be a decent shout going forward with the player we have. It would allow us to bring Menga on against a tiring defence to blast down either wing or hold the ball up as a striker. Agreed that a goalkeeper is priority though
