  1. BK , when you get bored , give us a shout and i’ll Happily help you with the bottles , The allerdyce cost me 79.99 last time ( couple of months ) I’ll need to see if they have any 15 tucked away at the back of the shop ! I’ll keep you appraised
  2. I was , I suppose gently railing against all the closed bottles in collections that raise the price and reduce the availability so much better to open and share , tell tales , and enjoy good company that said , upright , in a cool dark place , if you must , so at least when it does get opened it is in tip top nick
  3. Sadly I have to disagree , slightly - the only way to store whisky is , take the cork off , pour it into a glass , and enjoy , Store the memory of how good it is (or otherwise ) don't buy good whisky for other folks to drink when you are dead , no pockets in a shroud - get it necked ...
  4. If you look at the distilling history of glendronach , it was closed ( silent) at that point , so you are getting older spirit than 18 , so they can continue their core range , and its fantastic stuff !
  5. No flinty / matchstick kind of edge to the Fettercairn ?
  6. Ballechin, as memory serves , for peated , though that does sound a bit men in black
  7. Vote for side trip to aberfeldy , failing that probably Edradour , though Caledonia, is as “ nothing” a whisky as I have ever drunk , the distillery is nice and compact , and being the home of signatory, the shop is well stocked with a good variety of drams
  8. For both "Savage Henry" and "Ziggy" Aye I paid £210 for it , and have helped all those who bought as an investment , by opening mine - it was by far the most expensive whisky I've ever bought , but I never considered Flipping it , owning and quaffing a wee bit of history is rather nice , I'm certain it will sit quietly at the back of the shelf and take some time to be finished . No hint of peat ! Colour - light Gold Nose , p***kly , lemony, cereal, hint of somthing herbal Neat - again lemon , grassy, pepperey , somthing sweet in the background Cut ( a teaspoon ) again lemon getting fruity not sharp , herbs ( bay , and more) and with a bit of time chocolatey notes Finish , just sublime , long , lemon gets more “bitter” and there are some floral and maybe an earthy touch Wonderful stuff 89 / 100
  9. 29th Wedding anniversary , saw this bad boy un corked , lovely stuff !
  10. Sitting in the shade in the garden , a large15 yo cask strength single cask highland park ( a d Rattray) watching the Spain Russia nonsense on the I-pad ,!
  11. Good work to the toon statto I see what you did there and just to remind the killie fans , your team were the first to go out of the Scottish cup on penalties
  12. Look Lads , all is good and well, all the issues settled, I know Viking-ton is a pain in the behookie , but it’s time for you all to take your medicine , and slide up into the second division , and leave us here to manage affairs in the third , eh good luck lads , see you soon !
  13. or Stranraer , not betting on a cup run this year and offering fairly Sh*tE money ?
  14. Will need the black and white pound paying you a wee Betfred Cup visit to make sure you are still about in August 2019. I preferred the south Ayrshire pound , more descriptive , and Aye , i’m happy to think big for next year , the kids did well, move a couple on for decent cash and a couple of loanees so we can be competitive , I didn’t go to starks this season , i’ll Make a better effort next ! However if youse are happy to get horsed in the bet Fred We will be good with that , till the next derby, we still own you !
  15. Right Lads , now you are talking about next years Shirts , time to pack up and move to the championship chat , youve done your bit , dont be Brechin , see you in august 2019 ...
  16. We will be after Ronaldo, inniesta, and Gareth bale , paid for from the Turner billions
