  1. I’ve been rewatching some old Monday Nitros from 95/96 recently when he first came in, his early matches with Eddie Guerrero were absolutely brutal looking.
  2. I hate Crofty so much, day one of testing and he’s blathering on about binge-watching Married At First Sight.
  3. iPhones wipe automatically if someone puts the lock code in wrong 10 times (and you have that option ticked). Chances of someone guessing a 6 digit pin in 10 goes is fairly remote (unless it’s 000000 or 123456) but yeah I think you can wipe it remotely from your iCloud account or put a message on the Lock Screen. My wife had one nicked a few years ago, she put “THOSE PHONE IS STOLEN” as the Lock Screen message and watched on a map as someone walked to a street full of dodgy phone shops and presumably flogged it because it went dead and never came back on.
  4. Sort of a quick question. Was watching a quiz show on Netflix last night called “Bullsh*t!” (The name is accurate). It reminded me of an old British quiz show that I was trying to describe to my wife but I couldn’t remember the name of or really anything about it. There was a panel of, I think, three people listed by their occupation, and if a contestant didn’t know the answer they could bargain with the three panelists to get the right answer for a share of the cash. “Hairdresser?” ”Correct answer for £50” ”Deal for £50” I’m thinking it was 1990s and probably daytime. Anyone? It’s driving me mad.
  5. Need to keep an eye out for this, it hasn’t come out in Ireland yet. I’m not usually a fan of coffee stouts but I love a Guinness.
  6. ‘The Beach’ by Alex Garland, read the book and watched the film about 20 years ago but couldn’t remember much about it. Really loved it, difficult to put down and I tore through it. Really nicely written too although I felt that by the end it got a bit carried away with itself and got a bit too fanciful. I watched the film the day I finished the book and although 90% of the plot and one main character was missing I did prefer the ending of the film.
  7. Red Bull getting a 1-2 in Italy adds insult to injury for Ferrari. Can’t believe Sainz fucked it on lap 1 again, not his fault, just a 50/50 but Christ he needs a result soon.
  8. Exactly this. Derek’s time was up, we were going backwards, everybody could see it. It only looks like a bad decision now because we replaced him with Stephen Glass.
  9. We are in a relegation battle. I still think we’ll be ok but if St Johnstone had won today I’d be shiteing it.
  10. Good sprint. Perez and Saint being out of position helped but nice to see a battle for the lead. Dunno if Max was specifically saving tyres or if Leclerc just fucked his. Points down to 8th makes it feel a lot more like a race rather than just a pointless qualifying session (though it should be 10-1 down to 10th).
  11. Wait till he finds out where Brechin is!
  12. Pretty much what happened last week, the commentator spent a lot of time discussing his favourite chippers in the NE and there was a lot of reminiscing with the co-comm about FFC “golf outings” (piss-ups).
  13. 2 up 2 down with no playoff would be ideal, I’d even be ok with the two HL/LL winners having a playoff for an automatic spot in League 2, what annoys me is the playoff against the team that finished 10th, no team that finishes bottom should have a chance to get away without being relegated.
  14. Exactly what I came on to find. I’ve watched a few Fraserburgh matches online this season (I live in Ireland), the HL decider against Forres was live streamed last week and next weeks match against Bonnyrigg at Bellslea Park is being live streamed on the Fraserburgh FC TV site. Was all prepared to sit down and watch todays game, never even occurred to me that it wouldn’t be being shown. Guess I’ll just be following along on Twitter. The Broch said they had 250 streamers last week, (at £8 a pop) so there’s definitely some demand.
  15. The new Ghostbusters film. I guess it was just what it needed to be, new and youthful enough to attract a young audience and reboot the franchise, but plenty from the original films to hook in us old farts who watched it in the 80s. It was ok, a bit too long, Bill Murray looks decrepit and it wasn’t the same without Harold Ramis. I did prefer it to the Paul Feig one a few years ago.
  16. Sheryl Crow - Every Day Is A Winding Road
  17. I stumbled across it on Bookbub, think I picked it up for £1 or so. Have you read anything else of hers?
  18. Elvis Costello & The Attractions - Radio, Radio (the song being performed in my Avatar FWIW)
  19. Planning getting tickets for the final KISS tour at the SECC in July 2019. They're a true pantomime band but I've seen them the last twice they've played Glasgow and they've been amazing both times. Made it to the Scottish Cup Final and KISS at the SECC on the same day last year. The gig was great, the fitba not so much.
