They are not. The Belgium one was in the centre of the field with his back to the goal !
Looks pretty similar (and tremendous) to me.

It’s easy to find on YouTube. He collected it from a throw in on the right side of the box, cut across beating two defenders before hitting an unstoppable shot in to the top corner. I remember at the time thinking they were very similar goals.

Yes, they were very similar. As I said (not very clearly), the goal against Spain was right in front of me in the old enclosure in front of the main stand.

I feel as though I should whisper this but we've got the Lidl brochure through the door advertising their 18yo Islay Ben Bracken starting tomorrow at £39.99.

I was replying to the post directly above mine which referred to the France 2-0 and Spain 3-1 games but I should have said it was the Spain game I was in the enclosure for. I was behind the goals at the France game. Yes, Johnston scored both goals- think he was playing for Nantes at the time.Dalglish's belter was v Spain surely.
Mo Johnston got both goals in the France game IIRC.

This comes up fairly regularly on here and I'm also in the pro-Derek Ferguson camp just down to his enthusiasm. His coverage of the Motherwell v Hibs 6-6 game a while ago was tremendous and brightened up my dad's stay in hospital at the time. He's also acknowledged he didn't stick in at school and isn't the most eloquent but he's still very good at describing the action.

I got one of the soakings of my life at that France game and I think it was in the old enclosure (more family friendly) in front of the main stand - worm's eye view but right in line with Dalglish's belter[emoji7]

There's not really much competition though.

I had been thinking that. There are a lot of supporters of other teams (including myself) who live in Glasgow. Admittedly we are very much in the minority but by that logic you'd be as well wiping out every town and city in the country due to the presence of Celtic and Rangers supporters in them.Better not replying to him. The city that he so despises is the home to a fair amount of supporters for his own team0 -
No, but I did get a flake.[emoji6]

To outsiders it probably looks as though Motherwell have had a fairly strong start but don't underestimate the strength of feeling against the style of play. I reckon pressure would build pretty quickly on Alexander with a poor run (although I hope not).

I appreciate the salary has to come out of contributions but can you get much experience for £25-30k? Genuine question as I really don't know. Not to put 2+2 together but I'd guess that's probably a factor if a replacement hasn't been sorted. We were advertising a 'Development Manager' role as of 24th September.

Furniture's overrated.

Maybe we won't hear much from Craig tomorrow morning!
Anyway, 71 Brewing's Frontal Skies Baltic Porter is lovely and rich but not to be messed with at 7%.2 -
This Czech Pale Ale from Beer 52 is pretty tasty.

Cheers. The 18yo Islay from Lidl was tremendous at £35 last year. Finished my bottle a few weeks ago so will keep an eye out.I see the Lidl and Aldi seemingly annual now Christmas time releases are out. Both 18yo and both 39.99. Incredible value. The Aldi is a speyside and it's out now. The Lidl is the Ben Bracken again, is an Islay and think is out next week.
They tend to disappear fast so keep an eye out. The Aldi one you can get on their website but you need to buy 6 bottles to get delivery. Thankfully that includes mix and matching with their cheap and also fantastic wine so wasn't a bother for me.

I've tried a few times but I still don't understand that last sentence.Doubt villa fans would let their club die. Gerrard's done well jumping up the ladder to a bigger league and a big European club. He's left an angry dwarf with insomnia for a sleeping giant whose awakened to see the blue bottles buzzing about in anger wondering where there big Ibrox jobby is.4 -
I just went to the toilet at work and found out I wasn't alone. [emoji44]

I've had a crappy day at work so excuse the pettiness but what if you were 12 yards away? [emoji848]I've always felt similar about players who miss the target with a penalty. If you're a professional footballer and you can't stand 10 yards from the side of a bus and hit it with a ball, that should be a week's wages.
Anyway, can Tierney do a job when we bring him on at centre half?1 -
Watching Sportscene, that's two very composed finishes from KVV and an incredible double save from Kelly.

I hope it's better than their Prospect Street West Coast IPA which is pretty tasteless. I have to admit I can't remember ever getting anything from Loch Lomond I've been impressed with, might have to take trip to Aldi.
Samuel Adams was a solid, dependable starter though.0 -
I miss those days.Or fast wingers who have never seen a football.
Well, I suppose we've got Amaluzor but he's nowhere to be seen.0 -
I have no idea about the costs of these things but that seems a lot for a no-frills cremation.I'm over 60 and live in an area populated by retirees and assorted coffin dodgers and get regular junk mail about 'meals to your door' or 'disabled showers' or 'DIY hip replacements using dental adhesive' - ok so I made that last one up but you get the point.
Today's missive was from Pure Cremation who, for about £1,700 , will collect your cold, dead body and then burn it and either scatter your ashes somewhere in England or put them in an urn and send them back to your loved ones. No ceremony needed or wanted.
Sounds like the perfect option for you.0
