I'm glad I'm not the only one that found that really bizarre.Quite enjoyable shithousing to use audio of Motherwell supporters singing his name TBH0 -
I was pretty similar with my third guess. So near yet so far.Wordle 212 4/6

Hit the bar with my third guess.
Fair play to anyone still using shite as their first word. Off to a flyer.

Hats off to those getting it in 2. Some real leaps from their first guess too.

Cheers. Scott Burns is normally spot on with these stories.
A couple of stories, the Daily Record last night, Football Scotland this morning (which is just just a rehash of the DR story)

Not sure if that constitutes evidence per se, but it's not unexpected, so quite possibly true?

Why? Is there stuff on social media?Tony Watt being in the squad for the game in Dingwall looks, ermm, unlikely.0 -
No, that's the equivalent of Netflix or Amazon Prime charging you but you only watch some of their programmes. Which is what happens.Clearly the motivations for this move are questionable, but tbh I do think the current BBC funding arrangements are an anachronism.
It is not appropriate imo to have a system where people can be imprisoned for not paying for what is effectively an entertainment service that they don’t need or want.
Yes, there is an argument that the BBC’s public service output should be protected and funded through other means.
But I can’t see a valid argument for compelling people to pay for Bargain Hunt or Strictly come dancing that they don’t want- that’s equivalent to Amazon Prime charging a fee to watch Netflix.1 -
There weren't many of us who weren't excited by the signing. I can only assume the club put him through a medical, decided he was unfit but not injured and decided to go ahead on the basis they could get him fit. You'd have to assume he showed a willingness to get fit at the time but didn't follow up on it.
Even looking back after a few years, I don't think you can blame for taking him on and the fans being excited. Nobody knew McCormick had pretty much retired already.1 -

My best result yet! A bit of luck with the first guess got me pretty much there.6 -
Shows how some people's minds work, I'm seeing Dundee United! It’s a common theme though. Lassie at my work said “when did you become a *** c**t”
At least you were polite in your insinuation. Her, not so much.
Anyway, quite pleased with today's effort. Well done to those who got it in two.

I remember him scoring very similar goals for us. [emoji22]

Just bought what looked to be the last bottle in my local Lidl on my way home from work- looking forward to trying it. Enjoying a bottle of Orkney's Puffin which I picked up at the same time. Very nice with a spicy aftertaste.

Do you ever pay in to a game?Well, well!*
independently of the P&B community, and without any chasing on my part (honest), the call we’ve all been waiting for came in this morning: I’ve been invited to hospitality.
I now fully expect County to take at least 2 points from this fixture.
*No pun intended.1 -
I saw him at Strathclyde Union many years ago, maybe nearly 30 so he must be a decent age now. I think there were only a few walk-outs, he definitely sets out to shock from the start. I certainly doubt any student unions would be prepared to book him these days. [emoji1]He's an acquired taste, obviously, but I thought he was brilliant. Certainly an experience, albeit one that makes Frankie Boyle look like Terry and June.
Only 5 or 6 people walked out after the first few minutes which was apparently less than usual, especially considering his opening monologue that night was all about Grenfell Tower.0 -

I came out with this guff last night!Cheers. Not been much speculation recently regarding him after a bit of a frenzy. Not sure how it will play out, Dundee United seem to have stopped conducting their business in the papers.0 -

I've not studied these closely but any sign of Tony?

This was my second time trying the game and managed to get it on the last attempt. Quite pleased with that considering the quirk.

It's not him but the miss just after 4 minutes is something else.Hmmmm.....out of contract in the summer.

It's my daughter that does that, not my wife. Drives me potty - it's not as though there's not normally enough noise going on in the kitchen.

I see the club website has crashed!

I'm stunned by that, really didn't see it coming. It shows a real buy-in from Alexander and the club for the plan to take the club forward which I'm becoming more optimistic about as he seems to be bringing better quality on longer deals.

I've held off on the Morton ticket also but am now wondering about buying one just in case they decide to hold a ballot of those who have already bought.

I liked Caffrey's but remember it giving me stonking hangovers.

Arbroath

These two games (well, one and a half) are also my only visits to Arbroath. Ridiculously windy, abandoned at half time and a handful of young Arbroath fans and a few polis getting chased up the street by the middle-aged men that only seem to turn up for our cup away days. The police totally over-reacted by turning up in huge numbers with dogs and horses for the re-scheduled midweek game with hardly anyone there.
