  1. I know Alan Main was highly unlikeable but did he do anything above and beyond to merit still being talked about?
  2. The SPFL could well have worked out those permutations but they've probably got to consult with Sky and the police who I'd doubt can be bothered looking at it on a 'what if' basis.
  3. Shuggie did the same blue/green top thing when he played for Motherwell as well. I don't know who he actually supported or if he just liked being a wind-up merchant.
  4. This is the article Google Chrome was trying to push on me this morning. Similar stuff. Don't know whether this is the general feeling of the Celtic support (not particularly on here admittedly) or whether they know their audience and are essentially clickbait. https://videocelts.com/2023/04/blogs/latest-news/john-beaton-and-liam-kelly-team-up-to-deny-celtic/
  5. On here anyway, there's generally been an understanding that Celtic can't win every game and an acceptance they weren't at their best or clinical enough yesterday. Going by the boos at the end of the game that understanding is still lacking in some and elements in social media seem to back that up. Google Chrome was trying to push a blog post on me this morning saying the referee was complicit with any attempts to waste time.
  6. I can't remember which team (maybe St. Johnstone)it was but there was a game towards the end of Hammell's reign where the opposing team was time wasting something rotten. Taking ages over everything, players going down injured, you know, the sort of stuff it sounds like we were doing yesterday. It is really frustrating but pretty much every team does it including Celtic - you just don't see it that much from them as they don't need to do it very often.
  7. His Highland League reports were always great to listen to. Quite a character.
  8. I turned over to the Celtic v Motherwell commentary. Who was the co-commentator with Rob McLean? Sounded like some Celtic supporter woman they'd picked out the crowd. Still much better than Peter Grant though.
  9. At least they don't have Pat Bonner on covering it. I actually wish they did though because they've Peter Grant on instead. He manages to make Bonner seem balanced and knowledgeable.
  10. A lunchtime scudding for County must surely give a boost to the teams just above them for this afternoon. Let's see if any of them can take advantage and open up a gap.
  11. My mind is playing tricks on me, I'm sure I can remember McFadden missing a penalty.
  12. Look at the state of him. Makes you wonder what a string of leggy blonde models have seen in the multi-millionaire.
  13. He'd also just been allowed to bring in a stack of new players so it would have seemed odd to not let him have the chance to see what they could do. I went into that St. Johnstone game with a surprising degree of optimism as I had kept reading how bad Saints were. We were comprehensively beaten without a whimper and I knew Hammel's time was up but probably had a few games left.
  14. I thought it was just because they didn't like him, never have done and losing five games in a row gave them the excuse they needed.
  15. He talked about his long career and achievements. Rory Loy slapped him down by saying none of that wins you player of the year
  16. They read out a message from someone saying how much they were enjoying listening to the show without lots of VAR chat. They then launched into a massive VAR chat.
  17. Old Jock with a Glenallachie 8yo. One of those nights when you really appreciate a family night when the kids and grandparents are all involved.
  18. Having eaten too much at a family dinner I'm now onto a Fyne Ale - Jarl always hits the spot!
  19. I was thinking a bit more Marc Almond! https://images.app.goo.gl/TfwFBRvbni2Xznty8
  20. And presumably Man Utd fans explaining why Goss is always our top-rated player. Van Veen being our lowest rated is just baffling though.
  21. Stopped off at Fyne Ales yesterday on the way up to a weekend in Argyll. Pleased to say the bar was nice and busy and the draught selection looked great - pity I was driving. Anyway, cans of Easy Trail and Workbench going down a treat after a wee barbecue.
  22. The BBC stats also had Goss as best Motherwell player in their ratings. Is he always just top no matter the game? Strangely almost all the Livingston players scored higher than nearly the whole Motherwell team. I wasn't there today- is any of this at all accurate?
