I thought Martin Lauchlan would be a good fit has a lot of knowledge in players in juniors and lower leagues Not every ones cup of tea but was a penalty kick from getting E.K in the SPFL

What I don't get from the start is why sign so many alloa pro youth players when Alloa binned their set up .Did your manager actually watch these boys or was it from a recommendation from other people Any one who watches pro youth games would know that these boys would not cut it at this league Did the manager not at least play them in friendlies for 3 games and then make assessment. There was a few weeks before pre season that all these boys where getting signed from alloa and for the life of me I could not understand why as the way your season has went was always going to happen with this team I know my comments may seem a bit harsh but sometimes the truth hurts

And there lies the rub on the above post which is spot on as a top junior player will be easily on £150 minimum p.w. and that's too much for your budget

Yesterdays game was well worth the £5 entry.The game changed with 1st sending off .Did not see what happened. Fair play to Gartcairn playing to final whistle and getting last min penalty which came from poor defending .Town team looks stronger than last year so hopefully they can push on and go on a win a few games As for referee he did seem a bit full of himself and gave strange decisions for both teams..... however all 3 pens where correct Your young keeper certainly wont forget his trip to Greenfield

Aye alloa u20s Best of luck to them as I have previously said you can only work to your budget and it must be the reason why the signings have been who they are At a stab at it the top earner will be on £100 a week tops

Don't know much about Albions finances .I do know several of the players you have signed this season It's a pity that philanthropist Mark Miller from coatbride who sold his company Millerworld to Netflix for 9 figures does not pump a few quid in I remember reading he was building 30 houses in coatbride for a not for profit scheme Please excuse my ignorance if am talking shite

I hope I am proved wrong but I cant see rovers doing to well this season with the team full of juniors players and pro youth . There is still a jump from that level to playing the teams in that league .I am sure the budget is why these guys are being signed but I fear the worst . Check back on my comments in six months and hopefully proved wrong

Be interesting to see where Martin goes on loan to and if its senior or the Juniors like Hoggan To be honest the likes of Cunningham,Hoggan are not getting starts and are warming their arse on the bench Its fairly obvious Goodwin does not rate the developement league and has said about as much in his comments about the o/f colts team

Only ever played 9 v 9 over half a season on a transition from 7s ,worked out well for us from 18 yard box to 18yard with 9 a side Goals ......Around 2004ish It was never officially allowed by the league but most teams thought it went down well

The only forward I think showing any promise is Adam Martin and yes as you say is more a winger .Looking at that squad tells me the squad is wafer thin bulked up by young boys who will spend more time in the u20s squad.

Surprised at some of the guys he has let go and his signings have not really hit the ground running .....its safe to say Alloa at moment are not on my weekend football coupon at moment as results are all over the shot

After watching that interview it kind of thought what I expected that he does not really rate the development league as he is never there watching the games and fair play for being so honest .I dont think Alloa should play the youths at Dundee as this years Alloa team is really young and I think it would be a cricket score Last years development team beat dundee last year during pre season 3-1 but I think there is only about 4 players still in that team from last year

Best thing to do is go along to the developement matches and watch the young boys signed up on pro contracts and see what you think .Unfortunatly if they dont take their chances then they will go the way of Hynd and Wilson and as they will be on about £50 a week if your lucky then its a gamble maybe worth taking for alloa and also bulks the squad up.In some peoples eyes its better to have these 3 or 4 boys wages spent on 1 proven player .Me i always think you give the boys a chance

Martin yes I would like at least another season and more game time .....i will be honest and yes he is a tricky wee player/winger but a half decent defender will suss him out as he always cuts inside ....hopefully more game time against better players will improve his game Hogie .....not good enough Goodwin looks like he does not care for young boys who have came through the ranks as he binned Scott Hynd and Lewis Wilson I have said before i think Wilson was the best out the 4 of them and for the record I have no connection with him just watched a lot of development games The best prospect is Declan Mcdonald and also the young centre mid Dylan Monaghan

Very true regarding development league game and Parry ....although I thought he was poor in goals and looked like he did not want to get clattered into for 2nd goal Am pretty sure Jim Goodwin is not to interested in the u20s as he is very rarely there for any games .Unlike Jack Ross who attended most of the games
