  1. Results today could have been worse all things considered. Title still in out own hands although after last night I'm not confident at all. Clichéd to say but if we'd been offered our current league points/position with 10 games to go at the start of the season, there's not one of us who wouldn't have taken it.
  2. It's been nearly 24 hours and I still can't wrap my head around that game last night. Frustrating as that equaliser was, I felt the abuse Kev got was unnecessary. Aye he fucked up but I've never understood the thinking behind abusing your own player, like that's going to help in any way.
  3. I think my favourite reaction from a Dundee Utd fan post game was on Twitter/X, where it was suggested that the ball wouldn't have sat up as well for Brown to strike if the game had been played on grass. It's almost as if, I don't know, the pitch contributed to a better spectacle.
  4. Captain of my very first Dead Pool entry back in 2016, relegated to a squad member these days but still points on the board for this year and the threat of being a zero pointer erased early doors.
  5. Some goal from Adams, don't remember ever seeing a goal applauded so much by opposition fans. Deserved it though Bitterly disappointed not to see that out at 2-0 given the circumstances. Last couple of home games have been disappointing, not sure a four point return from our two games this season with Ayr, Arbroath and Dundee Utd is too bad a return; the nature of the dropped points is a concern though.
  6. Maybe I'm wide of the mark, but I'm assuming @Heid_The_Baw's spelling of the team name within his post was how it appeared on the website (AirDIREonians) and it was mearly an amusing nod to that. If so, it's been fixed now.
  7. Was this the '5-0 down at half time with Kevin Nisbet at wing back' game? Brutal!
  8. I assume there would have been various wearers of the number 14 in the days before squad numbers. I have a few Scottish Football yearbooks from the 80s, I'll have a look and see if I have any from that season and who might have worn it.
  9. Big fan of Thomson's psyching out routine, I was helpless at him. "Ooh, that's a big run up"! Brilliant. Simple things and all that.
  10. Afraid of dying? Depends how I go. Afraid of being dead? No. Afraid of the impact it will have on my family? Terrified. That's what keeps me awake at nights.
  11. Christ, I mind the last day of that season sitting with the permutations of results that would mean Millwall were relegated written down, then watching it unfold on Ceefax and being delighted when they went down. I was a bitter wee shite back then!
  12. Martin Nelson's goal was a thing of beauty. From memory, he lobbed a stranded Sieb Dijkstra from the touchline and a fair bit up the pitch, although until I saw it on Youtube recently, my recollection of Craig Dargo's goal at EEP was from that sort of range as well so I could well be misremembering.
  13. I was actually thinking about this a few weeks back, when I described doing something quite complex to a colleague as 'like being on the Krypton Factor', and was met with a blank expression. Didn't think it was that old a show, but there you go! Also, would describing haphazard driving on a busy road as 'Wacky Races' be lost after a certain generation?
  14. Last year was my best effort by some margin and wondered how I was going to follow it up. A day one hit in McGarvey is a decent start!
  15. I'm sure Murray will manage him appropriately; McGlynn would have had him on from the start about three weeks ago.
  16. Last time I was at a Rovers game in Inverness, Jocky Scott was in charge, he left Nacho Novo on the bench for the whole game and we got horsed 5-0. This is progress for me!
