  1. Called it, well the Lozowski part anyway! I think the Scotland squad is decent. We are short at second row just now, so calling up Skinner makes sense. I think he played a lot for Exeter over the last couple of years. He was certainly playing on the weekend, and adds a bit of grunt. I think he could become a big player for us and he's only 23. Thompson is a no brainer as well. Been on fire for Scarlets and we don't have too many like him, and no 8 is a bit of a problem position.

To be fair, that's why this game is so good.
  3. The main thing that seems to decide who gets cited and what ban is who you are and who you play for. Lozowski will get a couple of games as he's a nice low profile Sarries player so the perfect sacrificial lamb so the authorities are seen to do something after Sunday's farce, without going after any big names. Kaino could be fucked as he plays for a French team, is a big enough name to make an example of, and doesn't play for an NH international team. Irish players very rarely get cited, and even if they do it's even rarer for them to be banned.
  4. I just think Glasgow dont have the pack to compete. They are goung to get smashed back repeatedly and concede loads of penalties. I actually think, especially after watching yesterday's game, that Edinburgh have a better chance of doing something in this tournament as they at least have the forwards to go toe to toe with most teams. Glasgow just look massively underpowered.
  5. I think the ref has been a complete homer in all honesty. Leinster have had everything.
  6. He's bound right onto the props leg. Hes basically an extra man holding him up, and is able to apply much more force in behind him. It's a definite advantage, especially if you have no intention of doing anything at scrums beyond milking them for penalties. Really poor if the ref hasn't seen that.
  7. Was at the game tonight, so probably missed a lot, but it just feels like it's going the same way as last year. We will beat most of the shite, with a bonus point, and will be in the playoffs by Easter, but the big teams will overpower us with ease. We've no grunt in the team, no power. The reserves aren't really good enough either. Surely John Hardie is a better bet than anybody in that back row today?
  8. Yeah, why not. Argentina look like a new team.
  9. And then another extremely cheap 7 points coughed up.
  10. Then followed up by another stinking error.
  11. We must be the only team on the planet who can use a completely dominant scrum as a means of giving away penalties.
  12. This is crap. Errors everywhere, soft penalties on our own possession. Dragons have 6 points and have had to do absolutely nothing to earn them. We don't look like challengers at all, we are more the level of Ulster or Ospreys this season. I think we will get humped in Europe.
  13. I'm pretty sure there is doubt to be honest, seeing as how Campbell's case is proceeding due to the sheriff deciding there should be a full hearing. Maybe the sheriff is another secret Corbynite or vile cybernat out to get poor defenceless Kezia, ex leader of the Scottish Labour party.
  14. I've got to say, I don't really see how Kez is the plucky underdog here. She took a cheap shot at an independent blogger in a "look how awful nationalists are!!!" hit peice in a national newspaper whilst leader of the Labour party. She just didn't expect the guy to call her on it and take it all the way. She's made a complete c**t of herself to be honest, when What She should have done from the beginning is just apologise and end it there and then.
  15. Good news is he's already gone, and will never work again.
  16. Just watching the Edinburgh game. Interesting to note that we can't use TMO evidence for controversial match deciding decisions in injury time of world cup quarter finals, but we can use it to overturn a throw in at a lineout if the Irish crowd whine loud enough.
  17. Cardiff have gubbed Munster here. They've been really good, but I think Munster are looking pretty shite this year. Still, plenty for Glasgow to worry about in Europe against this Cardiff team.
  18. A massive lump who never really plays though. I agree though, our pack is weak, and that was apparent last season when the big teams steamrollered us so it's very disappointing nothing has really been done about it. We've never replaced Nakawara or Strauss. Even Reid gave us a bit of grunt. It just feels like it's going to go the same way as last season when we were capable of blowing away the shit and reserve teams, but when it came to the real big matches we just got overpowered.
  19. Yeah, I never rated him that highly either. He became a bit of a cult hero through being big and scary looking, but he's hardly played and like you say, gave up far too many penalties. We do need somebody to replace him though. We still lack a bit of grunt in the forwards. If only big Leone would come back....
  20. It's amazing the difference in reaction from the established OF "jobs for the boys" media and the newer media out there. If you read any of the football blogs, or the podcasts like the Terrace or whatever, virtually nobody thinks St Mirren were wrong to sack Stubbs. Even on here there has been almost no supporter of any club who didn't think he had to go. These guys seem so detached from the reality of what the average punters think these days. No wonder nobody is reading their newspapers. It was the same when we sacked Rae btw. It'll be the same when Dundee sack McCann as well.
  21. At least if the bumpkins are all queuing up outside the clockwork the decent pubs are less busy.
  22. Pretty much the same at Murrayfield to be fair. I tend to go down to the pubs near tynecastle as they tend to be a bit quieter, but the ones near the station or along the road direct to Murrayfield are usually rammed on a match day.
  23. Dunno, sure the guys at the Ali Shan will stick a candle out if you ask them nicely!
