Is Hughes in the squad? Unfortunately he seems like one of those guys who are never going to be fully fit again. Can't remember the last time I saw him finish a game. Is Maitland still out? Jackson, Maitland and Graham wouldn't be the absolute end of the world I suppose. In fact, you'd probably go with Maitland at full back with McGuigan on the wing if possible.

I thought Price did his best on the wing in a shit situation, but he killed us at the end when getting put into touch after catching the box kick under not a lot of pressure. No actual winger would have made that mistake.

The thing that's been the biggest disappointment for me over this tournament is that I don't think many of the fringe players have really come in and out much pressure on the guys currently first pick. Hogg, Jones, Maitland, Watson, Barclay, Wilson, Seymour, Russell all still look guaranteed to start our first game in Japan if fit. Richie Gray and Duncan Taylor as well probably. Watson showed what we've been missing when he came on. He carried better than Strauss, tackled better than Ritchie and jackled better than anyone. Last season we were all about turnover ball and fast counter attacking. This season we've had no turnover ball to counter from. From that point of view surely Hardie was worth a try at some point?

Hastings has been miles better at fullback than Kinghorn so far.

Kinghorn was shite again before he went off. I have no idea why he's so highly rated.

I reckon there will be a lot of box kicks to Graham. The Welsh wingers are big so it'll be a real test for him. To be honest, I don't really see any area where we have the edge over Wales, apart from at no 10. Previously I'd have taken Seymour over any Welsh winger as well, but not anymore, and the forwards, especially the back row, look outgunned. It's going to need a huge effort and we can't afford to give away any cheap points. I'm hoping for the best, but I think it could be a long afternoon.

Team for Saturday. Not overly confident in this lot to be honest. It's amazing how centre has gone from a huge strength to an absolutely glaring weakness this year.

Can you not for this game? They must be expecting you to sell out, or come close at least. It sold out last time, though that was a Saturday and Killie were doing a lot better I suppose. The home end won't be full anyway. I've sat next to Killie fans in the main stand a couple of times, and sat in the main stand at Rugby park before with no issues.

Just in from the saints game in time to see Glasgow delivering an absolute pumping, whilst Munster toil against Scarlets. Could be a very pleasing day indeed. Apparently Edinburgh were absolutely Clancy'd to f**k earlier though.

Just watched 5 minutes of the Ospreys v Munster game there and it was like watching a different sport, and not in a good way.

When you think of the scrum penalties Whitehouse was giving against us when he was having his strop in the first half, it's mental Connacht have got away with that twice.

He just missed about three knock ons in a row earlier as well. I think he was bored and not watching. I usually think he's ok to be honest, but he was definitely in a huff with us for 15 minutes there.

The one wee ray of light is that there are some players coming back in the forwards. The hooker crisis is over, both Greys are coming back. Fagurson is also a much better prop than anyone who has been on the bench so far as well.

I don't know. For all that, it's a large population of aging and unhealthy people who probably cost the UK government a fair bit each year. I don't know if the Spanish would have any appetite to pick up that bill, and of they did I'm sure it wouldn't be very popular in Spain.

Sounds like Russell is out for next week, based on some reports from France. This 6 nations has been a bit of a nightmare so far.
