  1. What's written there ain't even the half of it. Anyone who didn't get to the audio in time, FEAR NOT. That interview, in full, will be played over and over and readily accessible fo all eternity. I'm still trying to process it...
  2. Wowchers. Somebody post the audio so we can appreciate it in all it's glory and the great love/hate fest (delete as appropriate) can really kick into gear...
  3. Or course the real measure of a non-Old Firm team in Scotland is their all-time record against the cheeks at the national stadium...
  4. 21 hours late to th party, I just came on to post exactly this. Only thing I would have added: In the last 3 games, Randal has had at least 3 opportunities (4 if you include him hitting the post v, was it St Mirren?) where, if it was almost anyone else on the end of them we'd probably have scored 3 / 4 more goals and picked up all 9 points!
  5. It's early in the thread, but so far STAGGERINGLY cautious from the County fans! We are currently averaging a goal every 10 minutes (every 6 if you discount injury time) and Livi haven't scored in 505 (probably over 550 including injury time). County OVERWHELMING favourites for a comfortable win - was going to add "in my opinion", but that shouldn't even enter into it.
  6. Sometimes, as was the case last night, over the course of a game. Below is actual footage of a passage from the game in which point A is where Jordan White was positioned when called offside, and point B is where the St Mirren keeper took the resultant free kick from.
  7. Lovely stuff. On a totally unrelated subject: If a goal is scored from a corner, and the corner was taken with the ball blatantly positioned several inches clear* of the corner 'arc' or whatever it's called, should that goal stand? Asking for a friend... *When I say several inches clear, I mean an aerial view showing clear daylight between the edge of the ball and the outer edge of the paint.
  8. Adams back in (which I'm a fan of, by the way), people reminiscing about some of his earlier managerial achievements with us... got me wondering again about a question which this snippet from a recent BBC article made me think about in the past week or so: I'm not holding my breath, but would anyone here agree that McIntyre was our most successful manager? Who else would folks consider as contenders for that title, and what would you say are the key factors to base that on?
  9. Morning, all. I'm looking for any possible advice in relation to this (see link). Cheers, all. Stagsby.
  10. Hi folks, thought I would share this in here as it may be where I have the best chance of finding someone with helpful insights. Might also be a welcome - if brief - distraction from, you know, football...
  11. Morning, all. Myself and some friends are planning a sponsored walk from the Caledonian Stadium to Victoria Park in February - that's right, I said FEBRUARY - to raise money for the Ukrainian charity I have been involved with for the past 15 years or so. (One of our group is a St Johnstone fan, and it was his kid's idea, and FEBRUARY is when we're next playing them, so arriving in time for the game, and all that...) Anyway, I'm on here to see if I can track anyone down who's walked from the same A to B at all in the past, and might have advice about routes especially, or anything else more generally (like, "Don't do it.")...??? (FEBRUARY)
  12. The media probably won't even mention it, and some of our gloomier fans will no doubt find a way to twist the facts - but that's now 3 weeks since our last defeat. "We only lose when we're playing, lose when we're plaaaaying... we only lose when we're plaaaying. LOSE WHEN WE'RE PLAYING..."
  13. Fully agree it feels like as good a time as any to finally grab a win over these guys. Any news on Dhanda?? If he's back, my only prediction is both teams to score at least 2.
  14. I don’t know, but if you would like me to find out I can read through ?
  15. With Ross County picking up points at almost 3 times the rate they did last season, we are surely now nailed on to clinch the European slot which so agonisingly evaded us last time around. Assuming the bum cheeks stroll the top 2, 3rd spot looks like County’s to lose, so the questions are: How many European slots are / could be up for grabs through league placings this season, and who are you expecting to clinch it / them?
  16. Couldn’t be less excited about club football right now. Whatever. Blah, blah. P.S. Meh.
  17. I’ve been quite excited about the thought of finally getting back to a game, but I’m also needing to kind of take it easy just now as I’m recovering from some man-flu. The thought of going to a game and trying not to get too emotionally involved (in order to protect my still-fragile throat) is always a bit of a challenge for me. Then I woke up this morning and remembered what we were like for 85 minutes against Aberdeen, and my heart leapt and sank all at the same time. I’m suddenly not sure I even want to go.
  18. To be fair, I agree (which may seem contradictory!). I think a draw was a completely fair result, and Aberdeen can’t have any complaints. Had it ended 1-0, I would have said that was fair and wouldn’t have had any complaints (about the result!).
  19. Reflecting in more detail on the game… A few folks (on both sides, I think) have said Aberdeen looked pretty good. I mean… I get where you’re coming from. There was a fair bit of stuff that they were pretty decent at, and definitely some things they were better than County at. But in terms of any of the things that REALLY MATTER in a football match (scoring goals, which is made possible by creating goal-scoring opportunities), I thought they were utterly howfin, laughable even. The potential’s there, and this was probably an off day in those key areas, but based on what is required to win a game I strongly disagree with the suggestion they deserved more out of the game than County did. Now, as for County… painful, painful stuff. It’s inexplicable that we can terrorise Hearts at Tynecastle for the opening 45 minutes of the season, and a few weeks later apparently go out at home against Aberdeen with tactics and instructions along the line of “Don’t lose this game, and wherever you do, don’t even think about trying to impose yourself in any way.” It’s so frustrating, because there is no doubt whatsoever we are capable of bringing more to the table than that. The players we brought on and the few minutes of the game in which we HAD to score to take something out of it proved that.
  20. My favourite bit was when we equalised with the last kick of the game.
