  1. I drew a graph, my answer was not 35, too embarrassed to post it now. Is it me or this too difficult a question for a school pupil?
  2. Would agree on all of the above and if Fitzpatrick and McMillan are back could likely be bench for the first game anyway and maybe get on in the last minute.
  3. I don't hold out much hope for an easy life, terrified of the school and late teen years.
  4. Wow really can't wait until mine is a teenager, she already has a hell of temper... No idea where she gets it from I thought they were meant to just leave you alone and spend most of the time in their room or in the park drinking or smoking?
  5. Krav Maga a good shout, the wee lad ending up on his arse when trying to hit a lassie might dent his ego a bit. My 3 year old girl wants weights for her Christmas. Good start.
  6. Jinx confirmed. Both teams looked pish, so seems about fair, I can't believe either of us are in the play-offs spots right now. Adeloye should have been on way earlier, don't understand why he doesn't get more game time, ok Graham scores a lot, but given the game time Adeloye gets he's got a decent return as well. Cannot be fucked with being pumped off Arbroath again, feels like it was only recently that happened.
  7. This is going to be pish isn't it. 1-1 shitfest I think is the best we can hope for, but reckon we'll lose.
  8. I like Friends and Cheers, Frasier is permanently on in the morning at my inlaws so I more or less can't stand the c**t.
  9. Still surprises me. I don't go as far as that, that often, the missus was from up near there though, I remember only a matter of 7 or 8 years ago you could drive up to the west highlands late afternoon on a Friday and it be relatively quiet, it's fucking mental now, the amount of tourists is wild and their driving is similar. Skye in recent years is hell, I don't even go there anymore unless it's off season.
  10. I don't even get excited about the cup draws anymore, just know it's going to be shite either home or away.
  11. You sir are a gent, thank you for that. Probably settles it if we end up staying in Berlin, that's more than enough stuff to do in a week I think. I genuinely think the older one would love doing most of this stuff. I don't massively fancy the idea of a resort type thing, most of them look quite average and it's not a real experience of the country, could just as well be anywhere.
  12. Hens teeth getting over the Bealach meeting no one these days. The last time I drove it, a camper got stuck for ages and I just turned back, haven't done it since.
  13. The Doublet and Laurieston being in the list is why I said city centre-ish instead of city centre
  14. The Tap Room used to be a decent pre-match pub in Hamilton, but it's now the Ivy or something? Which I've been in once and seemed to be run by a couple of miserable smelly people who are trying hard not to make it a football pub and were furious any time someone dared show a bit of Thistle or Accies colours. I take most Accies fans don't bother with the place? Need a new alternative for next season by the looks of it.
  15. Don't even like vodka n orange juice so that was probably part of the problem, but when you're 15 you'll take what you can. Missed both goals going for a pish that day and it's become a thing now, usually during Scotland games, the most recent one being the Norway game equaliser, so you all have my pish to thank for that.
  16. Good thread, just enjoying reading through these. Actually just posted a top fives for Glasgow city centre-ish pubs elsewhere. I love drinking in the Woodside Inn in Maryhill, every other Saturday, I walk in and the lassie just starts pouring me a Guinness, have a chat with the old regulars and then just sit and listen to the quiet pub chatter going on until the other lads arrive, my brain finally free from a week of work and the kids. Independent pub, even when it gets busy they have a lot of staff so service isn't an issue and usually a good pint of Guinness. I'm probably biased, but it's hard not to like. It's not my favourite, but I do quite enjoy jumping into Waxy's at the back where the lane is. Was always a good stop for a few Guinness after the train back from Edinburgh. People travelling were always in and out due to the proximity of the train, hearing peoples stories of Glasgow and one time watched this lassie make her boyfriend sit for a good 15 minutes to take a picture of them and the food while he so desperately wanted to just eat. Good people watch due to the lane as well. Drank in the Alamo before Thistle won the league in 2002, I think I was 15, for some reason we were drinking a lot of vodka orange and I'm fairly sure I got a vodka and orange which was made up of diluting juice. We moved onto the Caledonian? I think, more vodka and actual orange juice and I spewed in the pub, not even close to the toilet, got hauled out, still made the game and went out drinking afterwards.
  17. Used to jump into Blue Blazer a lot when I worked on Morrison St, also liked Thomson's on Morrison St, always seem to be the same two good lads (mind the older one giving us a whisky on the house for some reason) working the bar, even this year when I popped in, same guys. Both good pubs. No one will agree, but Glasgow (City centre-ish) 1. Laurieston 2. The Horseshoe 3. The Doublet 4. Scotia 5. Rhoderick Dhu Honourable mentions for the Woodside Inn, Bon Accord, Sparkle Horse and Old Toll Bar If you say the Park Bar, Ben Nevis, Islay Inn (could maybe accept the Grove), some random Irish bar you think is amazing or something like Howlin' Wolf, Butterfly n' the pig or the Pot Still, you're actually wrong.
  18. Ah ok Nissan engines, thought there was a general reason to avoid small engines there that wasn't "they are slow" etc Thanks though.
  19. Reported for what?! Being alert enough not to get water poured over you, then they go crying to their dad about it! At least when I was a little fucker when I was younger if I got caught for it I just took it on the chin.
  20. Wouldn't be what I would go for anyway, but curious to know why?
