  1. I hate to be that guy, but if you were trying to reach 60 and he struggled to get past you as you gained speed, suggests he was doing no more than 60? Or was it a case of he'd slowed down lost momentum and then tried the overtake? Just curious as I absolutely detest c***s that deliberately speed up when being overtaken.
  2. Might be the ticket is £10 and VAT is £2 and include £2 for delivery of ticket. Maybe after that weirdo on Twitter was asking about the VAT on gifted season tickets and tweeting HRMC we felt it necessary.
  3. Since becoming a dad, this obviously now really angers me. Although I do enjoy catching their expression as I give them a disapproving look while unfolding the pram or whatever. Had a guy once claim he had a sore leg and actually fake limped away, I saw him in the shop walking fine. Most people don't give a f**k though.
  4. Correct. Tbf the dogs the the most sound c***s in the place most of the time.
  5. Sounds like Inn Deep tbh, a place ran by and for wankers.
  6. Many years ago I was working with a company and travelling down to London every week for the whole week, did it for months, but they flew us business class and we ripped the arse right out of the business lounge bar. But more important was the £28 limit on night time meals, which apparently could only include one alcoholic drink (was never sure if this was a myth) anyway we found this bar that only ever printed "food & drink" on the receipts, it was glorious, could get like a £5/6 burger and the rest on pints.
  7. "Rule 112 of The Highway Code states: 'The horn. Use only while your vehicle is moving and you need to warn other road users of your presence" Literally used for it's intended purposes. Thanks for stopping by though.
  8. This and this in spades. Fucking infuriating. Tourists in an Audi S5 went roaring past me last weekend and I'd caught them in the corners then doing sub 40, embarrassing stuff from them tbh. Had a number of other belters last weekend up visiting the missus's family in the highlands, highlights being rounding one of the corners at the gorge area on the way to Glencoe to see a woman overtake a heavy plant vehicle on the corner in front of me, a proper emergency brake and she just missed me and the large vehicle. She had time to flash and wave, which was nice I guess. Another was on the way home, same road, just a couple of miles outside Glencoe I had literally just said to the missus "man I'd love just a nice steady 60 with no idiot drivers today" I saw a car up ahead emerge at a side road a bit too abrupt, given my proximity I think surely he's stopping? But no, pulls out slowly into my path, having anticipated it I was already slowing down and beeping the horn as he seemed to have no clue other road users exist, he then panics are near enough drives off the road half into the ditch! We're both more or less stopped, I'm trying to usher him to go and he's indicating for me to pass whilst a heavy flow of traffic at about 60 is coming the other way and cars behind approaching at similar speed. Shambles tbh, I overtook shortly after and he gave me a thumbs up... Unclear if this was an apology or acknowledging getting the f**k away from him was a good idea.
  9. School and nursery WhatsApp groups sound a bit like serious work group chats, but just much worse, feels like it would be a bunch of Facebook mums but all in the one place. I think I'd just send a Wardy Joubert meme and get instantly removed.
  10. Yeah I wondered what counts as a member as well. I'll probably still drink in the Woody tbh, although I've no idea what that will be like if restrictions are still in place given how busy it is by 2pm. If it's awful, then a covered car park bang outside the stadium might have appeal.
  11. Nailed on the same people crying about the lack of England flag also refer to BLM supporters as snowflakes.
  12. Yeah I think the Scottish 66 is actually well under way now. In a way kind of glad if it takes some of the load off the A82 as I don't drive the A83 anywhere near as much as I used to. I know the B roads in that region well, some of which awful to take a large load down *kenneth williams gif* although no worse than the Bealach na ba which is seen as an extension to the NC500 now. I've seen all manner of tourists attempt ridiculously large motor homes and towing huge caravans down that road. Murder if you get stuck behind them as they seem to have zero awareness despite signs indicating to let people overtake. Would be interested to know the sort of speeds you maintained and rough size of the campervan, usually if they are larger they should be doing 50mph in a national speed limit area. Apart from the very large straights after the Dunoon turn there isn't many opportunities for a slow campervan to pass. I passed a bus a while ago on the A82 a couple of miles passed Tyndrum, had what looked like Chinese writing on the side, driver was not hanging about. Anyway at the end of the straight I looked back and he was pulling out for an overtake two thirds down the Bridge of Orchy straight and on the corner I passed a number of bikers making quite some progress. Unsure how that encounter ended, assume all ok but a scare for someone.
  13. That is odd tbh. Just leave it alone. I do have a fair amount of sympathy for managers, everything they do is critiqued in great detail every week, the job is constantly under the spotlight. Imagine your own job was publicly available for criticism, would be fucking awful. Boring as f**k too.
  14. Good interview on Open Goal with McCall I wonder why he always has his pen, no notepad or anything like that, just pen. Maybe a habit or something. It was also interesting to hear him mention about the pressure and the fans blaming him, I wonder where he heard it from, if I was a manager I don't think I'd have any social media accounts.
  15. I can't believe Glen Michael is still alive! He came to my primary school once for a show or something, even got his autograph though I had no idea who he was at the time.
  16. Always found Mercedes drivers to be the lesser of the German w****r automobiles. Audi sits top by miles tbh. I've got a VW, like to think of it as the good guy of the bunch. I rarely drive now, except for the shops and up the west coast highlands. I really despise this NC500 concept, brings all manner of fuds and tourists that think the road is now essentially a tourist attraction. Which is utterly moronic, a road is for getting from one place to another, nothing else. Glencoe area is a big massive car park now, in fact car park infers an order to it all, people just abandon their cars anywhere remotely resembling a space. The tranquility of it all is gone, it wasn't that long ago I could drive up on a summer night after work and easily stop somewhere safely for a break from driving, impossible now.
  17. Was planning an immediate return, but his road positioning and aggressive driving manner seemed to indicate he was going for an immediate pass on my left. I thought my calmer style of driving and actually using MSM was just putting myself at risk to return left. I was right, as soon as possible he undertook. The remaining right after that was purely a stop and look left as a kind of "look where your driving got you" type thing. Hope this clears it up.
  18. Two things I'll never quite fully understand about some road users, firstly the concept of tailgating, not once in my entire driving history have I ever thought, 'know what, you're right pal, I'll just start speeding up for you' it's always met with maintaining a steady course and potentially even slowing down. Second is, why do people react so angrily over what is usually such a minor thing. A recent ish example was driving along a dual 30mph limit, bus in front of me was pulling in so, MSM and changed lanes, some bellend in an Audi came flying up behind me who seemed to be doing potentially double the speed limit had been inconvenienced by this and decided to start flashing and indicating I was a w****r. I could see the undertake coming so I just maintained course, as he passed he's shouting out the window and sticking his fingers up. Then it got sort of interesting as he got stopped at the lights, I pulled up next to him and wound down my window to make some enquiries about the problem he had. Not a glance in my direction, looked petty sheepish and I was like, why act like that then?
  19. That's hilarious. I get why the prices are higher, but I've often found the price of food and drink at football matches is just mental. Except for the odd ground, seem to remember Killie being more reasonable.
  20. For some reason Dobbie keeps popping up as a rumour. Would rather Connor Shields tbh.
  21. I get these, I broadly they've been described as either palpitations or pre-ventricular or pre-atrial contractions, I think the heartbeat originates in the atrial or ventricle, it's a smaller heartbeat which results in the pause followed by quite a thump for the next heartbeat. When this first happened to me I'd been on a two day sesh and thought I'd fucked my heart somehow, went to the docs who referred me to hospital, got an ECG and sent me home. Didn't think much of it until a few years later it basically continually happened, could be periods where it was every other heartbeat was this weird flutter and then a thump. Ended up going to A&E, got a heart monitor for three days and the end results were everything was normal. Was told I was stressed and to avoid stimulants, oddly I think the symptom was the cause, after being told it was normal it hardly ever happens now. I avoid caffeine now though. Anyway thought I'd share to try and put your mind at ease. 100% go to the doctors and ask about the heart monitor, it's a pain in the ass, as it's stickers stuck on you for three days, exercise and showering with it are annoying. Worth it for peace of mind or if there is something genuinely wrong. This is a class thread tbh, anyone know anything about bones in your hands? I have the kind of classic boxers injuries from years of martial arts, more or less missing a ring finger knuckle, my middle finger bone knuckle is enlarged and I've still got slight pain when my hand is squeezed from the last broken metacarpal. Is it worth going to see a hand specialist or just live with it?
  22. I feel like this is becoming the new Mikael Mandron. Probably the right decision for Cardle, at best he was going to end up a sub or squad player next season. So far McCall signing up and letting go of the right players which is quite refreshing.
  23. I think they just want someone to talk to them.
