  1. Teams that may not get in - there will be no cherry-picking by the LL-run WoSFA. This has been debunked several times already. This is nothing but scaremongering and outright lying by the WRJFA to serve it's own interests.

£500 upfront fee - this is the first I've heard of this. Some evidence would be nice.
£500 start up fee, 50% returned after year 1, 25% after year 2 and the other 25% after year 3. It was brought up by the top table at the Thursday night meeting
  2. I’m curious where this notion of cherry picking has come from? Perhaps Arthurlie would be better served if someone from their committee contacted George Fraser direction  rather than relying on the word of Gordon Ronney.
We were told at the Thursday night meeting that there would be no cherry picking, maybe the Arthurlie delegate just had a typo with a word missing
  3. You've not read all of this from the start, have you?
Nobody's going to stay in a WRSJFA.
All clubs are moving together into the new WOSL and retaining SJFA membership.
His preference was for a split between the clubs with some going and some staying would have been disastrous for the SJFA as it would have been made up of smaller and weaker teams that would not survive and eventually lead to the SJFA folding.
And you know that all clubs are moving, how?
  4. There's no divide though.
All WRSJFA clubs have agreed to be part of the Pyramid.
You're the one trying to muddy the waters now that people have seen through your agenda of hatred towards TJ and the SJFA.
Get the feeder up and running with everyone on board and let's just wait and see how the cup situation unfolds. Those discussions can surely wait for another day.
    Really???
  5. My understanding from our meeting on Monday is that we were not voting on anything until we heard what Thursday's meeting had to say. So not sure where 60 voted for whatever was said??

as I was not at the meeting I don't know how every team voted but it is fair to assume Clydebank were one team   who voted against but the result of the vote was    60    2 with one team not present
  6. Spoiler

Can see this run til June as Petrie doesn't seem to have the desire or balls to prevent it.

Word I'm getting from the meeting is that the WRJFA league has been ratified by the SFA. The exact wording used was it's a "done deal".
Heard that myself recently, but with a caveat of its not been written down yet????
  7. I'll be working on them over the next few days. Still got to look after the day job.
Any more news on our fixtures, last game advertised for 18 April but plenty of games still to be rescheduled and fixtures out to May on the SJFA West website? You had a Wednesday night for our game against Renfrew which ended up being postponed due to frost, but so far no evening fixtures arranged, surely that's a no brainer?
  8. I would expect that a lot of pressure will be exerted on club reps at Tuesday night's WRSJFA "extra General Meeting" to sign up to Gordon Ronney's plan.

However, for the reps representing those clubs who have expressed an interest in the LL-WoSFL plan, they have a duty of due diligence to their clubs to hold fire and wait till they hear both sides by attending the information meeting on Thursday before committing to either side.

Until both sides have been heard, and the results of Thursday's "partial PWG meeting" are known, then no club should be committing either way in my opinion. (Unless they are already absolutely certain of what route they prefer, e.g. Clydebank.)
    That's the only sensible option
  9. Petershill bench’s reaction to the supposed handball was very poor. Referee and his assistants were very poor. They didn’t cost Peasy the tie though as I think Darvel deserved the win as they created more chances in what was in general a poor game. Conditions perhaps dictated that to be fair to both sides.
It was a big decision to award Darvel a free kick for the equaliser and from where I was standing behind the goal I don't know how the ref can give a handball. That's football I suppose
  10. Hard fought win for Darvel, just about deserved in very difficult conditions! Referee and assistants were first class! Poor show from the Petershill bench. Well done the Vale! And good luck!
Glad you thought the ref and his assistants had a good game???? We didn't!!!!!. All the best for the rest of the competition.
  11. As bad as we have been all season but still gutted to lose a goal in 93rd minute , and at end of the day it’s a last 16 away game in Scottish and still in cup , glad petershill won the junior cup today with their celebrations [emoji23]

Sounds like a wee team can't enjoy their day by enjoying the deserved last minute equaliser??
  12. How Peasy were still in front at Half Time was unbelievable, Glens battered us but big Andy was terrific in goals today. Once the third went in it was game over. Thought Peasy had a terrific team spirit and fought for every inch of territory. Deserved win in the end

  13. Some comeback
The ball did cross the line in the second incident
Hopefully the camera will have picked it up one way or the other. Our players reaction suggested it didn't. Cumbernauld players didn't even look for the goal. 1st half, the ball is in a mile and the same linesman gives nothing.
  14. The winners of the Erskine Cup would play the winners of the Maryhill Charity Cup for the McGregor Cup.  After winning the 1991 Erskine Cup, we won the 1991 McGregor Cup beating Maryhill 4-3 at Tinto Park.

Here we were after the 1991 and 1994 win, the last one.

Thanks for this, no idea how it's ended up in Maryhill right enough
  16. Just had a request from the Maryhill Burgh Halls about the Erskine Hospital Charity Cup which they have in their possession. They are looking for information about it's origin etc. I know it was played for by various junior sides up until the 90's. I know their has been a forum on this a few years ago but any new information would be helpful.Erskine%20Charity%20Cup.jpeg

  17. Played with Darvel at the start of last season and when he turned up / played you could tell the boy had ability but dunno if he wanted to play football🤷🏻‍♂️. He was sold to Petershill half way through the season but don’t know if he played many games.
He played a few games then disappeared off the radar, don't really know what happened to him??
